I recently stayed at this hotel, and I couldn't be happier! It’s perfectly located next to a station, making travel a breeze—10 out of 10 for convenience! The staff were friendly, and the amenities were great. If you’re looking for easy access to transport and a comfortable stay, this is the place to be!

Didn’t enjoy the breakfast the eggs wasn’t that good and the bacon was too tough for my liking and also my keys were giving trouble on the second day. But everything else was fine

Unfortunately not very clean. No glasses or cups in our room and made us pay for water. Probably the most bar minimal effort travelodge I have stayed in. See why it is 2 stars.

The staff were really friendly, the room itself wasn't very clean and the sink was leaking, toilet kept gurgling throughout the night and obviously can't be help but the location meant the night was very noisy.

Not the closest Travelodge from Birmingham's Coach or train stations but certainly worth the walk (approx 20 minutes).Hotel is situated in a quiet side street so sure to have a good night sleep.Staff are as aways very friendly and helpful. The cafe area was well maintained and spotless.Breakfast was excellent with a variety to suit all. What makes it this travelodge worth the walk is that Lego discovery and sea life are less than 10 minutes walk and a lovely canel to visit. Also there is a terrific self service launderette within a 15 minute walk.

I booked a double room but was given a disabled room with really narrow twin beds which wouldn’t even be suitable for kids (narrower than a normal single bed). The bed frames were lower than normal and the mattresses awful. So I didn’t get the room I paid for. There was issues with the shower drainage which meant it couldn’t be used without flooding the entire wet room. Went to reception - he said he couldn’t do anything about it, so I couldn’t even have a proper wash! I asked if I could just be moved rooms - he claimed they were fully booked yet I looked online and they were still selling rooms there for that night! So he couldn’t be bothered. Noise all night from outside of hotel - inside some noisy people too. So if sleeping on impossibly small and uncomfortable beds was a challenge in a sweltering hot room - the noise made it even harder. At breakfast I waited to give my room number in - nobody came so I just helped myself. Eventually someone questioned my being there as I was getting food and took my room number. The hot food was poorly stocked (bacon, scrambled eggs and white bread in particular) and very slow to re-stock as staff were more interested in chatting than looking after the buffet. Tables very slow to be cleared of dirty crockery etc. This used to be the best Travelodge to stay in when in Birmingham but based on my stay this time, I won’t be back. I’ve no idea if they have had a change in management but whatever has happened- it’s now awful. I think that was the worst night I have ever had in a hotel. The staff clearly don’t care anymore, they don’t want to help. From being my preferred hotel in Birmingham it’s gone to being one I won’t set foot in again. There was not one thing I can think of that could be considered a redeeming feature of my stay.

Great location to explore Birmingham, and very close to independent restaurants and bars in the Jewellery Quarter. We had breakfast one day - excellent service from Bert and the team, who went over and above to ensure we had everything we needed, despite arriving within an hour of service finishing.

If there was no fan in our room it would have been a 1 star review, room was intensely hot with no air con and a window that barely opens. breakfast wasn’t great either, got down there got one rasher of bacon then had to wait 15 minutes for them to bring out more and they only brought out about 6 rashers for everyone waiting. Overall, would not recommend including breakfast in your stay and avoid staying here in the summer as the rooms are basically Africa

Our stay was absolutely amazing thanks to the incredible staff—we believe their names were Kaz and Yasmin (or possibly Jasmin). Please forgive me if I’ve got the names slightly wrong, but I truly hope this can be traced through booking details or staff rotas, as I would love for this feedback to reach them directly. They went above and beyond for us during our visit, taking special care of my mum, who has been struggling with poor health and found the heat difficult. They also made a real fuss of my son, who had just won gold in a competition—the reason for our trip. Their kindness and attention to detail made the whole experience unforgettable. In my experience, staff like these are worth their weight in gold. Travelodge should be incredibly proud of them, and I sincerely hope they are recognised and rewarded—they absolutely deserve it. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
