This is a fairly well-regarded inn in the area. We stayed here using the Tochigi Prefecture "One Family, One Trip Campaign." The room was a 10-tatami room with a wide veranda in the annex Hanami-tei. It was a very ordinary Japanese-style room, but it was clean and relaxing. From the window of the room, you can see the Tobu train running on the iron bridge over the Kinugawa River. The train lights at night are particularly romantic. It may be attractive to train enthusiasts, but personally I don't like landscapes with man-made objects. For dinner, we had a Japanese course meal called "Autumn Colors Gozen" in a private dining room. It started with earthenware pot of matsutake mushrooms, followed by sashimi, salt-grilled trout, and chicken sashimi. The taste was average and not very stylish, but each dish was delicious. We had a tasting set of three local sakes.
