This was my second visit to this ryokan, and once again, their breakfast and dinner did not disappoint. The portion sizes, the delicate presentation of traditional Japanese cuisine, and the stunning river view are truly unbeatable. However, the cleanliness of the room still needs improvement. I noticed spider webs inside the light fixtures in our room, and unfortunately, some dog feces on the back stairs of the building remained uncleaned for all three days of our stay.

The food was especially delicious. Personally, I think the bath water could be a little hotter.

It takes about 5 minutes by the hotel shuttle bus from Kawajiyumoto Station. Check-in is done at a window seat while eating welcome sweets. The room is well-maintained and spacious, with a beautiful mountain view in front of you. The hot springs and food are both very satisfying.

This is a fairly well-regarded inn in the area. We stayed here using the Tochigi Prefecture "One Family, One Trip Campaign." The room was a 10-tatami room with a wide veranda in the annex Hanami-tei. It was a very ordinary Japanese-style room, but it was clean and relaxing. From the window of the room, you can see the Tobu train running on the iron bridge over the Kinugawa River. The train lights at night are particularly romantic. It may be attractive to train enthusiasts, but personally I don't like landscapes with man-made objects. The room was a very ordinary Japanese-style room, but it was clean and relaxing. The open-air bath was clean and open, and although it was not rustic, it was quite good. For dinner, we had a Japanese course meal called "Autumn Colors Gozen" in a private dining room. It started with earthenware pot of matsutake mushrooms, followed by sashimi, salt-grilled trout, and chicken sashimi. The taste was average and not very stylish, but each dish was delicious. We had a tasting set of three local sakes.
