"The Good: Beautiful hotel, friendly staff (especially Sandur), easy to park, breakfast included. Bottled water in room. The not so good: No soundproofing in the rooms, you hear everything in adjoining rooms and in the hallway. Black pudding on the breakfast menu but none available 2 days in a row. Personal dislikes: Bed and pillows were too hard for me. Overall a good hotel."

"Fabulous 3 night stay in room 4 on first floor front of building. Check-in in the bar was excellent, as was advice and info. Had a great walk before breakfast the first morning up to Clough Stone and then across to Kodak Corner. Well worth the climb for amazing views. Took the car ferry across to Carlingford after breakfast (touristy but very attractive village). Next day had a couple of hours in Warrenpoint and were lucky enough to catch the piping band marching past. Rostrevor itself is a friendly village with great places to eat and drink. Special mention to Fearon's bar and The Shack for pizza on their outdoor terrace in the evening sun. Be aware that no-where seems to be open for food Monday/Tuesday except the Chinese takeaway and a traditional takeaway - if you're staying at the Inn you can eat your takeaway in the bar. The Rostrevor Inn has a great restaurant with brilliant service and Crawfords Bar is small and friendly with a rear snug area if the front space is busy as it will be on live music nights. Kept the bedroom windows open as the bed was a little too warm."

"The owner was very kind on the day of the reservation that I made directly with her by phone the day before the trip and we agreed that she would send me the information to access the apartment by email, the next day around 1:30 p.m. with an hour and a half left. She sends me a text message saying that she had sent everything to WhatsApp (which I don't have as a signal) and then I ask her to send it to me by email since I don't have WhatsApp, during this time I had a disagreement with the person who would make the trip. with me and she said that she would no longer be accompanying me on the trip, so at 3:30 p.m. I tried to contact the owner to inform her that I would no longer be going so that she could handle her reservations in case there was anyone interested and that if there was the possibility of a refund of at least 50% of the remaining days, around 6:00 p.m. he contacted me and without barely saying a “hello” or “good afternoon” he was blunt and said: “I was sorry but I wasn't going to return not even a penny”… I understand that it was my fault but if I were a correct, humane and compassionate person I would have agreed to reimburse the remaining days… and nothing, there was no way, I lost £450 but I am sure that she will lose much more That I, a possible future guest, travel a lot and this is the first time I reserve a place and I can't go... I have “GENIUS 3” in *********** and I usually stay in 2 or 3 places at least... and even if your site is the last one in the world, I would deal with this lady again... now why did I come to trip advisor to leave her a review? Because the one who left it on GOOGLE.COM, the beautiful one, had the ability to delete it and the worst of all is that Google lets that happen... that's why since then I no longer believe in the reviews they leave... Thank you My Sheila for your kindness and Compassion... to at least offer me another date to stay... make good use of the money."
