Beautiful clean hotel with great amenities. Located on 86th St in Brooklyn. A convenient X28 bus goes right opposite into Manhattan and the subway is a 15 minute walk. Highly recommended and excellent value. We would definitely visit again!

The place is very neat and clean in a serene neighbourhood,friendly staff and I loved their breakfast buffet, had lots of variety

The hotel is located in the second last stop in the southwest tip of Brooklyn, so it is far away from downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan. It’s certainly not a neighbourhood hotel, but one for international travellers mostly, given the quality of the international brand Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG). It’s worth staying if one can get a good deal/price. Otherwise, one should simply choose the similar IHG hotel in Manhattan…

it was such a pleasant experience to stay here, i didn’t want to leave!

This location was excellent for walking to see Christmas lights in Dyker Heights. The neighborhood felt safe and it was clean. The hotel looked new, and the room (although small) had everything we needed for a night. I would definitely stay at an Avid hotel in the future.

My mom had been coming to nyc for the first time and we stayed in avid for 21 nights. I had called 2 weeks earlier and asked the front desk if me and my sisters can check in early before my mom arrived at night (reservation was under her name ) , they said yes you just need to send us an email with your information, which I did. I called again to get the email, they said oh that’s not our policy you need to just come in but we need to charge her for one night. We agreed and instead of charging her for one night they attempted to take the full amount. I called to complain about that and they said oh we apologize our mistake and they took the right amount. When my sisters arrived at the hotel they took my sisters card and charged her the full amount even though I had again called beforehand to make sure if anyone will be charged and they said they would only charge my moms card once she arrived. When I called back and was by now super angry the lady kept pushing back and then she finally said okay we will refund your sister when mom arrives. And then after all that the hotel smelled really bad the rooms didn’t have any wardrobes or cupboards. Breakfast was really bad and the gym was too small. As well as we asked if we can screen cast anything, repeatedly the front desk said “sure we’ll get someone to come up and fix it” he never came and then when he finally came on our last 2 nights he said oh we can’t do screen casting because it doesn’t even work yet. I don’t know that I’ve ever stayed in a hotel with such incompetence and misinformation and mismanagement.

Clean new hotel rooms are a bit small

I have stayed here many times. The hotel is conveniently located. It is within walking distance of the bus station and the subway. The room is very good except for the poor soundproofing. The bed is very comfortable and the towels are clean.

Convenient transportation: 50 meters across the bus stop to Taurus/Statue of Liberty... The room is very clean: the facilities are very new Service: the staff is very nice, Mark especially praised 👍 Breakfast: milk/yogurt/fruit/hamburger...

Except for the remote location, the hotel has other advantages! Of course, 800🔪 for four nights, I don’t have any requirements for the location😁 1. The hotel is very new and the environment is clean, especially like the domestic All Seasons chain hotel, with simple decoration and staff cleaning every day. 2. Free breakfast! Oh my God‼ ️Such a cheap price also includes breakfast, and the breakfast is also delicious🥹The choice is quite rich! 3. The staff is very good! When I first came to check in, I noticed that there were Chinese people at the front desk, very friendly!

Very convenient, you can take the subway to Manhattan in 10 minutes from Fifth Avenue. The price is reasonable! It is convenient to eat and buy things at the door.

The hotel is relatively new. I booked it because it was cheap. There is a bus stop on the right side of the road across from the hotel. I took the $7 bus to the nearest subway station, which took about 20 minutes. Then I spent another $2.9 to take the subway to the center of New York. The point where I transferred from the bus to the subway was the point where I bought the ticket for the Statue of Liberty.

The room was very clean and well decorated. It was the best experience ever. The service was excellent!
