Best Muar Hotels

"We, an elderly couple stayed for 2 nights in Muo Boutique Hotel in Muar in a Superior Tatami Twin Room (only 2 mattresses, no bed) have window with Japanese style decor. Do note that there are other rooms that come with beds too. We use the lift to go to our unit on the 3rd floor. There is a rooftop garden with table, chairs for relaxing & overlooking the Muar River. Although the size is only 15 sq m, the whole unit can accommodate us & our 1 luggage. It's a unique experience as it is our first time staying here. The reception & staff are very friendly."

"The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is strategic and there's free parking. The staff service was also good and check-in/check-out was easy, though there's no elevator (which can be tiring for elderly or heavier guests going up to the second floor 😅). But overall, it was very much worth it and I'm satisfied with my stay here."

"Good room, cleanliness ok. Friendly reception. Universal socket is a big plus. Nice view at breakfast. But very limited choices. Will stay again. The rooms are also clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are clean. Overall, recommended place to stay when in Muar."

"There are small findings for the room we are staying, door chain lock was forced out of place, and the showering head tap was faulty. All these were reported and rectified on the same day. Just hope the hotel will ensure the upkeep of the facilities."

"Everything is good, but detail matters. & I’m very disappointed about how misleading the info was. I booked two “WINDOW” rooms on purpose, only to find out at check-in that for the Deluxe Twin room type, there is only one room with a window. The receptionist felt sorry and was honest about it, which I appreciate, but that makes the listing even more unacceptable ?! Why advertise something that does not actually exist?! A window is not a small detail ! I once traveled with a friend who has claustrophobia, and a room without a window would have been unbearable, it can seriously affect a person’s comfort and well-being. Both the hotel and the platform need to stop treating this like a minor issue. Misleading room information is not acceptable, and people should not have to find out the truth only after they arrive."

"I had a pleasant stay at this boutique hotel. The cleanliness was excellent — the room, bathroom, and common areas were very well maintained and tidy, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. You can tell the hotel staff take pride in keeping the place in great condition. As it is a boutique hotel, the facilities are relatively simple,  although it self check-in machines, but their experience staff did assist and that feels warm and personal. The only downside is that the sound insulation on the rooms door is not very good, so you may occasionally hear noise from outside or nearby rooms. It wasn’t a major issue for me, but it’s something to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise. My advice to the management is to add some acoustics seal on the door frame to improve it. Overall, a clean, cozy, and well-kept boutique hotel, and a good option if you value cleanliness and a comfortable stay"

"The river view from the 7th-floor room was great, and it's a hotel with good value for money. The underground parking was also very convenient to use. The only downside was the lack of a refrigerator, but other than that, it wasn't bad."

"The staff is helpful to explain the usage of the jacuzzi. There is reserve carpark for guests so no issues if you are driving. There are many eateries and cafe around the hotel. Overall is good "
