"So as a halal traveller for my halal trips, perfect fish and chips without beer butter I’ve never eaten butter so light it’s amazing room was really clean beautiful views from the room of the Malcom Bay. This is a premium hotel clientele are mature however this was a amazing hotel stayed there good for business, really nice food breakfast was not very big but it was enough. Customer Service was average only because there wasn’t many staff, but when there was staff there they were very attentive. Amazing day would stay again."

"I had a very disappointing experience, particularly regarding guest privacy and room security. At approximately 1:30 pm during my stay, someone knocked on my door. I did not respond, but the person then used a key/card to open my room door. At no point did they announce “Housekeeping”, identify themselves, or explain why they were entering. I only realised what was happening when the door opened. As soon as I made a sound, the person immediately closed the door and left. I contacted the hotel afterwards. The hotel confirmed in writing that it was housekeeping staff “checking bins etc.” and stated that guests should use the Do Not Disturb sign or inform reception if they do not want housekeeping. This explanation does not address my main concern. Not displaying a Do Not Disturb sign does not explain why a member of staff would open an occupied guest room without verbally identifying themselves. Even during routine housekeeping, I would expect staff to clearly announce “Housekeeping” before entering a room after receiving no response. I was also never informed at check-in that staff might enter my room simply to “check bins”, and during my previous stay at this property I did not experience this. At the time of the incident, I had absolutely no way of knowing who was opening my door or why. I was frightened enough that I left the property and did not feel safe returning to continue my stay. What disappointed me further was the way the incident was handled afterwards. Rather than properly addressing why the staff member entered without identifying themselves, the response focused on the fact that I had not displayed a Do Not Disturb sign. I am not suggesting that the staff member had malicious intentions. My complaint is about the procedure, communication and respect for guest privacy. A guest should not have to experience someone silently opening their hotel room door before finding out afterwards that it was supposedly housekeeping. Unfortunately, this experience completely undermined my sense of privacy and security, and I would not stay here again."
