Modica Palace Hotel
"My daughter and I stayed at MPH for three nights in early July. While the hotel has some lovely features, our overall experience was unfortunately impacted by several avoidable issues. We were initially given a room with a window rather than a balcony, which was due to an error by the booking agent—not the hotel. We requested a swap, but no balcony rooms were available. That said, the room was clean, modern, and the beds were comfortable. We also really enjoyed the breakfast—fresh and well-prepared. The hotel is located in a fairly remote area, and with the on-site restaurant closed during our stay, we had to drive out every evening to find dinner. We stayed in Room 1, which is right next to reception. Unfortunately, this made for a very disturbed first night due to loud noise and what sounded like shouting during the night. We requested a room change and were moved to a room on the first floor, which was thankfully much quieter. On the second evening, we returned to the hotel around 10pm hoping to have a drink at the bar, but were told it closed at 8pm and only soft drinks were available. That night, however, we did manage to get a good night’s sleep. On our final night, we came back to loud music and a full DJ party by the pool and garden area. This was quite a shock, especially as we needed to wake at 6am for a four-hour drive to the airport and from the car in the UK. I called reception at 11:30pm to ask when the music would end, as the bass was extremely loud and disturbing. I was told it was a birthday party. When I pointed out that it was a Monday and some guests might have work or early travel, the receptionist replied that it "shouldn't affect me since I was on vacation." That response was disappointing and dismissive. Overall, this is a nice hotel with a great pool, good breakfast, and mostly polite, helpful staff. But the lack of consistency and poor communication about noise disruptions seriously affected our stay. Had I known in advance about these issues—particularly the late-night events and limited dining/bar options—I would have chosen a different hotel."
Modica Boutique Hotel
"Excellent hotel slightly outside Modica Bassa but very easy to reach. Room with all the comforts and accessories. Exceptional breakfast. Very welcome parking reachable directly from the floor with the elevator. Highly recommended."
Modica Old Town Rooms
"This was our second time there and we were very satisfied. The room is small but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. There's no reception, but everything is well organized and explained. The location is centrally located in the historic center. We'd be happy to come back."
Modica Inn Centro, BW Premier Collection
"Words can't describe how much I enjoyed staying here! First the hotel's staff was really helpful and kind. I enjoyed talking with them, especially with the french lady who was working Saturday. Since I was the only guest there, she kept me company and we had a really nice conversation. About the rooms...mine was a one-bedroom room, relatively small but enough for one person. Both the room and the bathroom were really clean. In the room there are a mini-fridge, a tv, a kettle and a few amenities in the bathroom. About breakfast... Salty and sweet food are both available and the man who works in the kitchen is really nice and professional."
Agriturismo Il Granaio Hotel & Spa
"A very beautiful and relaxing agriturismo. The staff is kind and owner is very helpful in anyway! Breakfast is very good and abundant. Food is great and bedrooms are nice and always clean. Pool area is so relaxing! One can also relax at the spa area or spend some time at the gym. You will surely love the area! Family Grima"
Chicchi di Melograno
"This is our second visit to Modica, and Chicchi di Melograno is simply the perfect choice for a serene getaway. Angelita is a fantastic host – so kind and accommodating, and she loves to pamper her guests with her exquisite breakfasts. The rooms are a true delight, decorated with meticulous attention to detail and exquisite taste. Chicchi di Melograno is an ideal base for exploring the wonderful towns of Eastern Sicily. For beach days, Angelita recommended Maganuco beach, less than a 20-minute drive from the property. What a spot – crystal clear waters and a vast public beach with complimentary showers! Thank you, Angelita – we'll definitely be back next year."
Hotel Torre Del Sud
"I tried the suite with hydromassage and sauna in the room, really fantastic! Friendly and helpful staff but above all the food at the restaurant was really good. There is also an outdoor area with synthetic grass where you can sunbathe and sip the champagne offered <3"
I Tetti di Siciliando
"My sister and I had the immense pleasure of visiting Modica in May of this year. Our first trip to Sicily was a very pleasant surprise. This started with our accommodation in between Modica Alta and Modica Bassa. Nestled away below the steps of St Giorgio's Cathedral, the Siciliando is located in the perfect position to get to know the true side of Monica. Best of all, the welcome from Rosalina and Graziana was fab. They are in the process of renovating their beautiful palazzo (not that you would notice any disruption) and there is a wonderful sense of calm. Our room was in the newer part of the property so clean and crisp. The room was cleaned everyday and used towels replaced daily together with clean sheets after a few days. This is rare in B and Bs Breakfast is included and includes all sorts of homemade preserves and a freshly baked cake! Due to the location, away from the main roads, it was very quiet too. The only downside is the steps. This was not a problem for us but could be for others so it's worth checking with them. They will come to your assistance but obviously you'd need to inform them. All in all it was superb value and made our visit truely memorable!"
Terradamari Resort & Spa Marina di Modica, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
"A new hotel located on a Blue Flag beach providing all you need for a great break whether for a weekend or a week which is what we stayed for. Everything was spotless with an on-site spa, pool, and attached beach club with sun beds both in the grounds and on the beach itself. Without exception the service from the attentive staff was excellent with the star being Valentina. We had an issue with our hire car which I was having difficulty in resolving not least because of my lack of Italian but Valentina became involved and took it upon herself to sort the issue out which she did. This involved multiple phone calls and a deal of patience on her side but she was brilliant. She also ensured we were able to get back to Catania airport at the end of our stay as the hire car was not returned to us."

Villa Rosa
"Just a perfect spot to stay in with the family. Both toddler and teenager had a fabulous time playing around the villa. It was so quiet and nothing was too much trouble for our host Gianni. He welcomed us with all the information we required and made us instantly feel at home. Our rooms were adjoining leading out to the lovely terrace. All was clean and practical. Communal fully equipped kitchen was a blessing for the family. Outdoor area is bliss and a wide variety of facilities offered. Place needs a little TLC but everything we needed functioned well. The EV charging stations were such a relief especially after a day driving around Sicily. I'd highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway in the peaceful laid back serenity of Modica."
Masseria Cianciò
"Great welcome from all the family , a charming cosy place with great hospitality. Will definelty return. Every corner of the place has great taste ; a true gem in Sicily ! Lovely country side & pretty pool ! If you want to switch off from a mad rushed life this is the place to go"
Casa Talia - Rooms
"Had a great experience at Casa Talia - beautiful room with a private garden and view of the town/cathedral. Breakfast out in the garden was fantastic. Special shout out to Vittorio who was our main person at the hotel, he was super helpful and went above and beyond (booking taxis, bringing us an extra umbrella in a downpour, etc). Thanks Vittorio!!!"
Pietra d'Acqua
" A very peaceful and elegant place near sea side, With a very helpful staff by all means. I strongly recommend for a great vacation"
Modica Beach Resort
"Well located with private, quiet beach. Bar tenders very friendly & all employees are English speakers. Breakfast was good but limited. Two things to recommend: wifi did not work which is not expected in this kind of hotel & there is a fee for towels which is strange for being a resort. Other than that we had a great time, thanks!"
La Piccola Locanda
"Excellent structure, clean environment, friendly and helpful staff, with a relaxing garden full of fruit and plants with fragrant flowers, to be returned soon. Excellent location near the centre. Modica beautiful town to visit both high and low with beautiful churches"
Stacci Rural Resort
"Stacci Rural Resort was a really enjoyable place to stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection and a lovely setting, and the evening meal in the restaurant was also very nice. It is worth noting that dinner needs to be pre-booked before 12:00 each day, so plan ahead if you want to eat on site. The resort is also in a great location for running, with some excellent routes nearby and beautiful rural surroundings. The only areas that could be improved were the Wi-Fi, which was very slow in the rooms, and it would have been helpful to have a kettle available for boiling water. Overall, a great stay and somewhere I would happily recommend."
FerroHotel
"Stayed 1 night as part of cycling tour of Sicily. While this hotel appears to be a bit out of the way it's quite walkable into the centre of Modica. The room and breakfast were both excellent. Although it's next to the train station there was no noise from the trains."
San Giorgio Modica Hotel
"The location is great and the welcome we received was great ( it feels a bit mean to criticise but need to). This is an olde building next to the cathedral in Modica alta. Essentially the interior has been ripped out and replaced with something ultra modern. Furnishings are cheap and cleanliness is not great (stains on the carpet and mould inThe shower). Getting a beer when we arrived was like appearing in your own episode of ‘Fawlty Towers’. The glass door to the balcony in our room was cracked.Breakfast was very simple, fruit juice served in plastic cups ( not very sustainable). However staff were really friendly. We wouldn’t return."
