Methven Resort ★★★

"The resort was comfortable and clean , I did miss the hot pools that used to be there . The staff were very good ,and the food delicious. I was a bit annoyed when trying to sit in the lounge restaurant area , at all the children running around , screaming without parental guidance . It was not a relaxing ambience as there were so many kids running and screaming I could not talk to my freind . I was extremely surprised to find a child in resort uniform behind the bar . I’m from Australia, and this would be illegal , so I did feel I was in a big nursery with adults having drinks . Good for families , but a a couple of people just wanting a drink and dinner . No One two year hit his hand , banged in a big chest lid he was digging around in . The high screams and wails were scary , and I’m not sure why the parents left them . Otherwise my stay was great ."

"The price was great , location the best and the sun poured into my room and I had a view of the mountains . They kindly let me leave my baggage there for the day so I could pick it up later after I checked out ,and it was a priced really well . Thanks Adele"

"After our flight was cancelled in Queenstown, we decided to drive home. We arrived late at the lodge. So grateful for a warm, cozy clean room. Had a great sleep in a comfy bed. Didnt get to try the spa, but will next time for sure. Epic views of the mountains. The host was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again. "
