The swimming pool is pretty good

There was a painfully slow check-in for no discernible reason. The room was a good size with a nice big window. A fridge stocked with cold drinks along with mini bar food (paid). A large shelf for a big suitcase. A TV with a couple of English movie channels. It was a sink with a sink around and a bath that necessitated nearly doing splits to get into it. The plug didn’t fit properly so the bath water drained out before I had finished my bath. No hand towels were provided. The bed was hard and had no mattress protector and a very thin stained sheet on top. The duvet cover was also stained. Hard and soft pillow were provided. The room would have benefited from a comfy chair. There was only a power socket on one side of the bed. I had some rather curious tasting noodles in the restaurant but the breakfast was buffet was decent. The breakfast buffet offered western & Indonesian choices including an egg station. The pool looked nice & was used by guests. The air conditioning worked well. WiFi worked well. The grouting on the tiles in the bathroom was filthy. The finish on the walls was erratic with large gaps. The carpet was slightly stained. The large window had effective black out curtains.

Stayed here on our return from the jungle before we fly back to Jakarta.. great hotel clean and very friendly staff, great menu and reasonable priced, decent complementary WiFi , very happy to recommend to anybody, went out and felt quite safe , Thanks to all the staff

Returning to the Grand Kecubung Hotel is like returning to family - we have stayed here many times. I feel that it must be great owners or management as the staff never change and they all offer wonderful service even when our requests may seem a little strange. The rooms are spacious, clean, and all offer views of the pool. The restaurant provides both exceptional Indonesian and Western food.

Very good hotel Large quiet room, good Wifi and safe that I didn't use. Big pool. Attentive, efficient and friendly staff Great breakfast with western and local food. I really liked the local food like fried rice with seafood, Chinese kongee style porridge, fried tofu tempeh etc. Elevator works well

This place is rubbish. They have kareoke under the their best room to keep you awake till 2am, the room are unclean and stink like cigarettes and staff are not honest. There’s a much better hotel in town for the same price if not less. I would definitely not book this this hotel.

Jeff and Kathy from Oregon here. We were at this hotel as part of an Overseas Adventure Travel group. We were highly pleased with the cleanliness of the room, good location of hotel, and, especially, the excellent service by the staff! We appreciated the hot water heater in the room. The outdoor pool was gorgeous and well maintained. We highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent staff, room and pool view. But fitness room a joke because it is in the hottest spot and not air conditioned so like a sauna and unusable. WiFi was okay. Restaurant was not great, and no alcoholic beverages are available.

Decent hotel, we stayed just one night as a stopover. The bed was comfortable and it had all the amenities you’d need. The pool was nice. Restaurant and breakfast were ok. The bed sheet had holes in it but the hotel staff were very quick to come and fix this when reported. Hotel was everything you’d except from a 3 star hotel.

Arrrived with a large group for an overnight stay on way to the national park. Warm Enjoyed a wonderful swin in the pool on arrival followed by a good dinner - would recommend sticking to the indonesia menu and snapper fish in particular. Room comfortable and clean. Hotel is a three star which is a fair assessment.

We stayed in the Grand Deluxe room overlooking the pool, on third floor in the new wing. Comfortable, clean room and bathroom. Good, buffet breakfast and lunch. The chicken soup was delicious. Nice, helpful staff.

First time visiting Pangkalan Bun, and stay at this hotel. Arrived at around 7pm, welcomed by nice look of the greenny facade and good lighting arrangement from outside the hotel. Warm smilling receptionist handled checkin process efficiently. The room 225 was spacious and very very clean, all equiptment work properly. Nice bedding set, making trully deep comfortable sleep. The hotel manages their inhouse music and aroma therapy thruout the public area in the hotel vey well, giving calming and relaxing vibe for me. The dowside was only the opening hours of the restaurant which was not 24hours. Probably for efficentcy reason. I also noted some uncleared room service plate and bowls on the floors still there until the next morning. Over all, this hotel is very recomended, and i will surely stay here again nex time when visiting Pangkalan Bun
