The location is perfect, no matter to zoos in suburb or different sightseeing spots witin the free tram zone. It is good to have a balcony and particularly the pantry which allowed me to cook simple dishes. However, I requested a quiet room and got confirmed while I checked in, I heard the noise like construction work every eight o'clock in the morning and it was very annoying. And also if the aroma scent in the corridor ia less strong, it would be a lot better. Overall it is a place that I would recommend friends to stay if they come to Melbourne.

Very welcoming and comfortable on arrival. Great location with flagstaff garden views. Room is clean and comfortable. Bathroom is clean but nothing overly exciting about it. Close to Melbourne central shopping centre, vic market and flagstaff station right across the road. Would very happily stay again.

We stayed here for four nights. 1. The staff is courteous. 2. Perhaps it's due to the Oaks brand, but the hotel has a strong scent of aromatherapy throughout. 3. The room is spacious, but overall it shows some wear and feels a bit old. 4. The location is convenient, right next to Flagstaff Station. There’s a convenience store (very expensive) and Chemist Warehouse nearby. 5. If you want to use the parking facility, you must make a reservation in advance. 6. Laundry costs AUD4, drying costs AUD4, and laundry powder costs AUD2. The washing takes about 30 minutes, and drying takes about 40 minutes. 7. Aside from toothpaste and a toothbrush, all other amenities are provided including body lotion. If you need more, you can ask the front desk. However, there is no daily room cleaning service, so you need to take out the trash yourself if necessary. 8. Interestingly, the room we booked was already with a garden view, but they said they upgraded me to garden view (with the same room type). They must have made a mistake of upgrade 😆 9. TV is without youtube nor Netflix.

Oak Melbourne on William is across the street from Flagstaff park. I have booked a double bed apartment facing the park, great view, can see sunset from the balcony. Worth the extra money, stay there 4 nights, there is no room cleaning service, but no big deal. Apartment is about 12-15 minutes walk from Skybus Express bus terminal in South Cross train station. Short walk to Victoria Market. #35 free tram stop at the corner of street, very convenient to the freeway for sightseeing. Room is clean, bed is comfortable. Have small kitchen area, can make simple meal only. It has minimum kitchen utensils, and only 1 small pot and 1 frying pen. I have problem making pasta.

Got a room that faces Flagstaff garden - beautiful sunset view. Tram and train station is right at the doorstep, and Queen Victoria market couple of mins walk. Perfect location!

Everything was great, staff was very friendly, good gym and great location. Only downside is that my room was facing another concrete block and I couldn’t get my request to upgrade even though there was ample rooms. :( But well, all in all i should go back again!
