Lovely room, comfortable bed and quiet inside. Had everything you needed. Would love to have coffee maker/Nespresso in room and updated tv, but for one night visit to city it was good.

A wonderful stay - beautifully decked out room, warm and light. A perfect spot for a one-night getaway. Staff were efficient and friendly. Lovely old world feel to the entire place. Highly recommended.

Room was large and comfortable. Serviced daily. Aircon did not work properly. Tv did not work at all. Fabulous location.

Wonderful two night stay, very friendly service. We upgraded to a deluxe room which was spacious with a very comfortable bed and soft pillows. We overlooked Spring Street only negative being the windows were really in need of a clean.

Lovely very old hotel. My room was at the very back of the hotel with a view to the laneway and office people which I could see. My room was a little smokey and also had a strong plug in air freshener which was a bit overpowering but I would stay again

The hotel is over 100 years old and exudes elegance. The facilities are a bit old but they are well maintained. The front desk and concierge services are great, especially the concierge who is always responsive! It is also close to AO and can be reached on foot. It is also very convenient to go to other places in the city.

Advantages: The hotel environment is very unique and you can check in and take photos. The breakfast is delicious. The location is excellent and the attractions in CBD are within walking distance. There are Chinese speakers at the front desk and the restaurant, so the communication is smooth. Regrets: The room is very small, not even 22 square meters as indicated on the page. The facilities are relatively old. One of the two rooms I booked had a broken air conditioner, but fortunately it was upgraded and the room was large with a street view. The sliding rail of the other wardrobe door broke when it was pulled, but fortunately the hotel found it in time and came to repair it. Good service! It was quite a surprise to watch the wedding scene!

The room is small, old and a bit dim. There are no slippers, hair dryers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, or a bottle of free mineral water in the room. When a waiter at the front desk swiped my card to pay the deposit, he swiped three different cards before and after, but none of them worked. He became more and more impatient. His attitude was not good. Then he handed me over to another colleague (the other colleague was serving other people, and I was waiting all the time). He changed the machine and swiped it successfully. The fact is that their machine has problems. I waited for a long time, but the staff did not apologize.
