"Located in the historical heart of Slovenia's second city, the Hotel Maribor offers up-do-date accommodations while still preserving a certain old-world charm. Our room was not in the hotel proper, but in the lovely garden apartment addition located a block away, closer to the lively riverfront Lent district, and easily ranked as the best accommodation we found in Slovenia. Ample work space, a restful bed, and a lovely exterior patio perfect for morning reflection and an afternoon drink. The staff is supremely accommodating, and the breakfast buffet (with optional omelettes) suffices, though even more satisfying options can be found a few paces away."

"My wife and I travelled from Canada and booked 2 nights at this hotel and LOVED it!!! Helena, ( owner ) was so nice and accommodating and even went out and bought a universal adapter because we had lost ours! Breakfast was exceptional and the rooms were very comfortable. We had travelled 2 weeks in Austria and Slovenia and Hotel Bajt was top of our list. The Value is excellent and I will not hesitate to refer this spot or stay again!"

Historic charm but with a clean and cozy remodel makes this place even better. The room was clean and so comfortable, making our stay feel just like home. What a comfy bed with good pillows too! Great shower as well! This is a place we would visit again and definitely recommend to other friends and family. On top of that, what a nice city Maribor is.
