"The Hotel itself deserves a solid 4. However, due to its location, Margate Town and Beach, I deducted a point. The town is sadly neglected, and the beach is polluted. With that said, the accommodation is very nice. The pool, children's playground, spa, and bar are very good. The rooms could do with some renovation but are still exceptional with a lovely private balcony, including braai."

"The building and it's units are steps away from the beach. The resort is very well maintained and in good shape. Generators back up the whole resort in case of load shedding. The apartments come with a BBQ per unit, the kitchens are very well equipped with all you might need to cook. The apartments were serviced daily by housekeeping as well. The best touch in my opinion was the home-made jar of marmalade in the fridge upon arrival, it was divine! There was a full daily list of activities organised for young and old around the grounds and by the heated pool. Very well run resort with excellent and friendly staff across the whole team, we hope to come back soon."

"It's disappointing when a hotel doesn't live up to its star rating. It seems like your experience fell far short of your expectations, and the only redeeming quality was the view. It's frustrating when accommodations don't meet the standards they advertise. I truly despised the fact that we were required to adhere to a timetable for water usage in the building. Additionally, halfway through preparing dinner, we were hit by load shedding, and despite the presence of backup generators, they failed to function, leaving us waiting for almost two hours until power was restored. Moreover, despite the hotel's rules prohibiting noise and drinking around the pool, these rules were flagrantly violated for about four hours with no intervention from staff. When I attempted to address the issue of load shedding with hotel staff, one intoxicated individual from the pool confronted me aggressively, as if looking for a fight. I tried to leave the hotel immediately after check-in due to the water crisis, which was only disclosed after I had already made payment. However, my request for a refund was met with refusal. As someone with many years of experience in the hospitality industry, I am sorry to say that this experience was nothing short of a disgrace."

My children thoroughly enjoyed the pool and entertainment area, while the gym catered to our family's fitness enthusiasts. "Does not correspond to the specifications of the pictures. Everything is just beautifully photographed. Dilapidated and musty furniture that is unacceptable. The breakfast and cutlery were not portable. The coffee was served from a green coffee pot with a nasty brown spout that was at least 30 years old. No air conditioning and no adequate ventilation. The pedestal fan could not be used because it was far too loud. The winter garden had a temperature of at least 35 - 40 degrees. No possibility of fresh air supply. Defective loungers and a safe where a guest took the key. We were then given a spare key. Then our departure. In addition, the whole area seemed unsafe to us."
