Ama Stay ★★★★

📍 Str. Plan de Corones, 44, San Vigilio Di Marebbe

"We went to eat at this brand new establishment. Nothing to say, excellent dishes with high quality ingredients and excellent service. The excellent value for money is very positive. A tip: menu not very connected to the territory, some traditional dishes perhaps with a modern twist would be a nice boost for the menu."

B&B Villa Dolomites Hut

B&B Villa Dolomites Hut ★★★

📍 Strada Paracia 18/1, San Vigilio Di Marebbe

"This must be the best place to stay in St. Vigilio, for small families like ours. The location is great - albeit not central, but St. Vigilio is not big. There are several good places to dine within an easy walking distance, a well-stocked Spar supermarket an bakery not much further on. The public transport is reliable and frequent. The price to stay is reasonable. The hut is itself is a lovely wooden building at the edge of forest, tastefully furnished by antique furniture. The owner, Giulio, together with his wife, are very welcoming, and he is always available and helpful if anything needs to be fixed or simply to advice what is worth seeing in this interesting corner of the Dolomites. Special mention deserves the rich and tasteful breakfast, is certainly highly recommended! The only downside may be the unreliable Wifi connection, but we came for holidays, not doomscrollinng ;-)"

Excelsior Dolomites Life Resort ★★★★

📍 Str. Valiares, 44, San Vigilio Di Marebbe

"Our stay at the Excelsior Dolomites Life Resort exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family. The owners were incredibly welcoming and genuinely friendly, taking the time to personally show us around the entire hotel and introduce us to all of the facilities. It was such a thoughtful touch that immediately made us feel at home. The room was spotless throughout our stay, and the housekeeping team did an exceptional job every single day. You can tell that the staff takes great pride in maintaining the property. A special thank you goes to our server, Nenad, who made every dinner a pleasure. His kindness, professionalism, and warm personality truly stood out. We also have to mention his son, Luka, who worked as the bartender. His cocktail-making skills were outstanding, and every drink he prepared was fantastic. They both added something special to our experience. One of our favorite details was the hiking backpack provided with the room. It was such a practical and thoughtful amenity that we used on our hikes throughout the Dolomites. It's small touches like this that set this hotel apart from others. Everything about our stay—from the hospitality and service to the cleanliness, food, and amenities—was exceptional. We left with wonderful memories and can't wait to return. If you're looking for a place to stay while exploring the Dolomites, we wholeheartedly recommend Excelsior Dolomites Life Resort. It truly feels like a home away from home."

Sporthotel Exclusive ★★★★

📍 Strada Al Plan Dessora 2, San Vigilio Di Marebbe

"Barbara, Roman and their staff provide a sincere welcome to their “ exclusive” hotel and deliver everything you could wish for in a quiet unassuming way that only provides the ultimate relaxation. The quality, variety and presentation of each and every food course can honestly be described as exceptional. ( I believe the chefs have been here many years but have definitely delighted many a connoisseurs taste buds in that time). The hotel reception area, lounges, outside covered seating provides the most comfortable & relaxing ambience for everyone. A games room, gym workout area, cycle store, ski store ( heated racks for boot/ ski drying) with internal & external easy access just add the icing on an already delicious cake too ! The pool, upstairs relaxation area ( Mountain View’s & outdoor seating), hot tub, together with an extensive spa, sauna, steam room, hot & cold foot whirlpools just provide that true after skiing therapy . The staff genuinely provide excellent service with a friendly welcoming demeanour. I’m trying to think of any recommendations or improvements, and I cannot think of anything. Will be returning in the summer. Thank you."

Hotel Mareo Dolomites ★★★★

📍 Str. al Plan Dessora, 17, San Vigilio Di Marebbe

"A lovely, peaceful hotel with spacious rooms and great views out to the Erta World Cup piste. The spa facilities are a lovely treat after a day on the slopes. The restaurant is excellent, with a wide-ranging buffet (soup, salads, veg, and often other small entrees) and a choice of starter and main and a desert. Transfer to the ski area is very efficient, and St.Vigilio itself is a lovely base for Kronplatz local slopes and is close to the bus link with the Sella Ronda. The staff are all very helpful and work very well as a team to make everything run smoothly and efficiently."

📍 Str. Plazores, 8, San Vigilio Di Marebbe

"My room was HUGE with wonderful views of the mountains plus a HUGE bathroom with wonderful water pressure. The service was excellent and the hospitality warm and friendly. I was there for 6 days for a business sales meeting and it was a perfect place for such an event. Quiet and peaceful in the Dolomites. Lovely place"

📍 16 Strada Chi Vai, Mareo

"I went to the restaurant for New Year's Eve dinner with friends, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The complicated menu made it difficult to understand what I was ordering. The appetizer, a poor-quality salmon and tuna tartare, was unappetizing, as was the potato and truffle tart for the main course, whose flavors were indistinguishable. The meat was downright inedible. The service was rude and disorganized, with dishes arriving every 10 minutes, creating confusion at the table. The high price (about €100 per person) was unjustified. I recommend avoiding this place and opting for other excellent restaurants in San Vigilio."

"The hotel and service are outstanding. The hotel is new and a lot of attention has been paid to every detail, from space decoration, sustainability and available services. Very clean. The breakfast is excellent, and I definitely recommend dinner in the restaurant, which is excellent and is also frequented by guests outside the hotel. The bar food is also great as is the service at the hotel. In the hotel you can rent electric bicycles and get all the necessary instructions for nearby activities (hiking, climbing, guides,...). the pool and spa area are excellent, especially the view from the pool to the peaks of the Dolomites. We will definitely be back."

Excelsior Dolomites Life Resort ★★★★
"I am going to divide my review into sections as this hotel merits it ! We just returned home yesterday and I am planning my return. We ski every year and Excelsior has been my dream ski hotel but with 5 kids it was always too expensive so I decided to try it in summer. Pre - vacation - I must have emailed the poor hotel 100 times asking question after question. They responded helpfully and kindly every single time and were very patient. I do a LOT of research as I travel widely and review everything so I need to ensure I know what I am getting . They also allowed me pay my deposit in instalments and changed my booking numerous times as my teenagers opted in and out..... Rooms - as we are a large family I booked the most basic rooms. I was not expecting much and I could not have been more wrong . The rooms were STUNNING !!! We had a Fanes and a Pares and both were excellent . The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in . Bags, robes and nice slippers are provided and the lighting in the room is just incredible . Will mention this in more detail later. We had a view of the cable car and I just loved to sit and stare up the mountains every afternoon. Heavenly . The view is also visible from bed so I woke up to it every morning . Food - Oh my goodness it was excellent . We stayed in a very nice ski hotel at Christmas , also in the Dolomites , and the food there was good but the Excelsior surpassed it . Breakfast was delicious with great mueslis and fruits ( inlcluding strawberries , raspberries and bluberries !!) . Eggs were cooked to order and there was bacon available . Delicious fresh orange juice was really nice . If I was super critical I would suggest more fresh juices at breakfast . There is a dispenser with multivitamin and water etc. but other jugs of nice, fresh juices would be good. Pastries were delicious and seemed of a very high standard . Sometimes they got dried out though as I think the heater was too warm ? Anyway, minor issues - everything was so nice . Lunch was always lovely and had a choice of meat, vegan and 3 pastas . My boys just kept on eating ........Dinner is a 5 course affair and you choose from a menu at breakfast . We liked this approach and it seemed to save waste . We spent up to 2 hours at dinner - feasting like royalty ! We were seated outside the main dining area for our first 3 days. We did ask the restaurant staff if we could move as we felt 'out of it' there . We were told that we could not move but when I mentioned to one of the family at the desk she very kindly worked her magic and we got a table in the main restaurant for the last two days . And the VIEW !!! I could barely eat for looking at it . When we return I really hope we get to sit in the main restaurant as it's SO beautiful . THANK YOU for moving us ! Cocktails and wine - the cocktails in this place are unreal . I had Hugo Forest Fruits with an actual smoke bubble which burst on landing on my drink !!! We loved watching the theatric"

Almhof Hotel Call ★★★★
"I stayed at Hotel Almhof Call with my sister while we were attending a yoga festival in the Dolomites. Everything was just perfect from the moment we arrived. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially with our dietary requirements. There were even signs on the cakes on the breakfast buffet saying which were lactose-free, which I really appreciated. And the dinners were divine! I don't think I've ever eaten such fantastic food in my life! There was a good choice of courses plus a varied salad buffet. We stayed in the Wellness Suite, and I can't imagine a more relaxing place to stay. It was so quiet and peaceful and the beds were super comfy. The wood in the room smelt amazing and added to the zen feeling that the yoga festival gave us. The indoor pool and sauna area were excellent, too. We loved floating in the pool between our first yoga session of the day and breakfast. My sister and I both agreed that, if the yoga festival is on next year, we'll come back and stay at Almhof Call again. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so fantastic! We appreciate you :)"

"I've never seen a restaurant with worse organization. We asked for the table to be cleaned, and the waiter only cleaned a quarter of it. The waiters were rude and inattentive to requests. The wait time for food was infernal. The food could be improved. The food arrives at different times, so you're forced to watch others eat. The drinks arrive after the food...forget it and go somewhere else."

Liondes Chalets ★★★★
"Wow what a beautiful chalet with all the amenities and furnishing which you would love to have in your house! We have tons of questions prior to the stay but Hans responded to them very quickly. Check in was very smooth as well. The chalet included some very nice equipment including BluPura water/fizzy water dispenser, the Jura coffee machine which made the best Italian coffee we had. The rooms were so spacious with lots of cupboard space, each room has a hairdryer and security safe which means we don't have to share. The bathrooms and toilet are separated which are better than many higher end hotels. The window/balcony door electric shutters and black out curtains were very welcomed for a good night's sleep. Kitchen is very well stocked. I broke a wine glass and willing to pay but Hans very graciously did not want any compensation for it. In terms of location, it is easy to walk to the grocery store and some restaurants and cafe. The chalet is also easily accessible to the SS244 route which was just an hour's drive to Lake Misurina, Cortina or Val di Fune. An overall very pleasant stay and we highly recommend this chalet for a relaxing stay."
