"Wow - it was truly magical to stay in our Luxury Treehouse up in the rainforest. Everything about our stay was incredible from the staff to the wonderful attention to detail at every turn from the treehouse to the gardens to the cafe. We would recommend a stay in the Lizards Lair. Our interactions with George were particularly special and it was lovely to meet Aldy. A special thanks to the early morning ninja who delivered our croissants :-) From Kay & Chris, Stratford, NZ."

"The most serene and peaceful spot to getaway from things. We took the kids and stayed in Tallowood cabin (2 bdrm, 2 bathroom). The view from the deck was amazing and we sat out there on the hammock and enjoyed nature even seeing wallabies bound past a few times. The bathtub overlooking the tranquil bushland was also amazing. Feeding the donkeys was a lovely experience for the kids and the owner was very accommodating and knowledgeable with this. It was a 10 minute drive to lots of activities to keep the kids happy too. We visited the Botanic gardens and bird centre, Mary Cairncross park and the Gardeners falls. All lovely. I hope to come back to Whispering Valley many times and only wish I could take the peaceful feeling back home with me!"

"The cabin was perfect for our 'off grid' romantic getaway. Great amenities with fully equipped kitchen so we didn't feel the need to go anywhere. Great check in and check out system via text and not feeling rushed to get there by a certain time or "deal with anyone". Very friendly hosts willing to help out when there was a power outage due to the storm, including fresh water being bought down to us. Power outage wasn't too much of an inconvenience with Gas stove and BBQ available, was REALLY off grid! Highly recommend visiting the donkeys with your scraps! Cabins seemed closer to each other than we expected but never heard much or felt crowded, noise carried very minimally from family next door. "

"Beautiful bushland location. One bedroom accessible apartment with fold out double sofa bed in the living room. Sleeps four. Worth the money. Very clean and quiet. The proprietors Greg and Barb, were friendly, non intrusive and very informative about local restaurants and natural places of interest. The apartment was accessible and as a manual wheelchair user it met all my needs. A couple of tweaks needed, an additional grab rail in the shower and an additional no-slip slip mat for the toilet in addition to the exisitng mat for the shower. Overall, excellent comfortable accommodation, I'd go back again."
