Nice, rustic little homestay right in the heart of the walking street. Room was right along a beautiful little creek with a spacious balcony area and well-furnished. The main things that could be improved is to have a ledge in the shower for putting toiletries (there was none and the toilet bowl cistern was the only place to put stuff), and have more table space in the room itself to put stuff (there was plenty in the balcony, but very little in the room itself). Parking is also limited as they share the space with another homestay and you can only park on their half.

Loved it! The accommodation was incredibly peaceful, private, and quiet. Mae Kampong Waterfall is just a quick shortcut through the forest, and another path leads to the Balcony View Cafe. Breakfast was good too!

Beautiful, peaceful, and absolutely impressed! I even got a nice workout with a short hike up a small hill.

can’t believe I were in Haven!!! I love this place and definitely will be back again. If you want to choose stay in village .. B zone is perfect. For one or two person B2 is nice but no air-con.

note that there are 2 Chaiyapol Homestays so it’s good to check with them prior. i booked a Standard Room (B2) via trip.com and thought the location - as per the map - was a 10mins walk from Mae Kampong Village. lugged myself + heavy backpack up hills to find out when i reached that the homestay was located at the village itself (great location, walking distance to all the shops but wish i knew earlier!) apart from that, had an absolutely lovely stay. the young staff spoke english and was really helpful and nice. room is nice and clean. snacks + drinks are available for purchase in the room but tip: bring your own mama noodles for mookata! they sell one set for 350 baht which i enjoyed eating outside at the balcony staff also asked if i would like to join the sunrise at Kew Fin + Mae Kampong Waterfall for 100baht/person; pick up at 5.30am. glad i went! it was beautiful. it gets chilly on top so you can also take the white “bed runner” in the room as a scarf breakfast is included and is at a separate restaurant, just a couple minutes walk from the accom, located at the cafe At-Mae-Kampong. it was a buffet spread with healthy options. absolutely loved the congee! it’s so good, must try overall had a very pleasant experience. definitely recommend! homestay location is great and value for money. good for a 2d1n trip. i booked shared transport via klook from chiang mai

We had a pleasant stay at Chaiyapol Homestay, and were met with friendly, welcoming staff who made us feel at home from the start. The room was spacious, clean, and had a rustic charm, which gave the place a homely feel. However, the beds were very firm, and the walls were incredibly thin, you can hear just about everything from neighbouring rooms, so light sleepers may want to look elsewhere. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of town, making it easy to explore the area on foot. One of the biggest drawbacks was the hot water and water pressure. While the hotel does state that hot water isn’t available 24/7, it was barely available in the mornings, and even when it was, the water pressure was extremely low, making showers more of a trickle than a rinse. Breakfast was also disappointing, with very limited variety and no replenishment, so if you weren’t down early, you didn’t get much. Overall, it’s a nice local stay with a warm atmosphere and central location, but there are comfort and amenity issues to be aware of before booking.

location is superb, service is good, been taken care seen the time you arrive. you do not need to talk to the main street, which the hotel can help you order the transport thb 20/person/way. breakfast is good and simple. only weakness is when you stay will elderly with less convinience walking, because you need to walk down  a staircase for bathroom and toilet.

Probably the best home stay ever in my life. The room was super clean and can sleep by listening the waterfall song near my room. So chill.

Was looking forward to our stay after reading positive reviews but it was TERRIBLE. Our house was located beside the chicken coop, next to some sort of a pile of renovation stuff (right outside our main door). Our entire first floor was beside the walkway so it was super noisy (motorbikes, people walking by etc). The exterior of our home was dirty (chicken and dog poop) :( the bed and blanket made us itch, and only one slipper was provided for a two cubicle toilet. Plus point was that bfast and dinner provided were local and delicious, sunrise tour was enjoyable too!
