Hampton Inn & Suites Madera ★★
"Quiet and clean. I stayed in room 314 on the third floor, next to the elevator, and didn't hear any noise. The hotel is right next to Highway 99, which is very convenient. The free breakfast is OK, and the lobby also provides free oranges, apples, and tea and coffee. The Wi-Fi signal is good👍."
Yosemite Southgate Hotel & Suites ★★★
"Very convenient location for the park, beautiful hotel. Breakfast could be improved."
Knights Inn Madera ★★
"We are all happy ."
The Pines Resort ★★★
"The room was nice, but the color scheme was a bit too dark, like **. The facilities were complete. Our family went to town to buy groceries and cooked ourselves, which was very cost-effective."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites CHOWCHILLA - YOSEMITE PK AREA by IHG ★★★★
"The room was clean and comfortable, the hotel breakfast was rich and varied, and two adults and two children lived very comfortably."
Holiday Inn Express MADERA-YOSEMITE PK AREA by IHG ★★★
"Good location. The room was clean and the breakfast was quite good."
SureStay Hotel by Best Western Chowchilla Yosemite ★★
"I chose this hotel on the way to Yosemite. It's a typical motel. It's not bad for one night's stay. The room is clean and breakfast is provided, but the air conditioner is very noisy."
Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn ★★★
"Located about 30 mins from entrance to Yosemite NP (Mariposa Grove). Decently sized room with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Didn’t make use of amenities (pool or fitness center). Breakfast was included which was also decent (buffet style). Restaurant in the hotel was also not bad."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Madera ★★
"Pro: Good location and comfortable beds. Not a lot of people in the hotel. Improvements: Found some hairs of previous guests in the bed. And there was no possibility for one hour later check out."

Studio 6 Suites Madera, CA - Yosemite
"I walked into the room and it smelled horrible. there was no table and no chairs. Their ice machine does not work but I did find 2 half empty ice trays from Dollar Tree in the freezer. the TV was hanging crooked. the pillows on the bed if put together would have a small 1. the sheets and mattress covers were stained and little black bugs were found on each layer of bedding. they weren't bed bugs but still, who would want to sleep with any bug. the bath tub was filthy and the shower head has brownish stuff on it. I booked another motel. The manager never contacted me nor did I get any money back. so if you want a smelly, dirty room Studio 6 is the place to go. The pictures they show on the site are far from the ones I've included."
Fairfield Inn & Suites Oakhurst Yosemite
"Easy access to Yosemite National Park, good location and comfortable! Breakfast was great! Also reasonably price among these areas."
Sierra Meadows
"Beautiful village; I had a very good experience here. It takes 1.30 hours to reach Yosemite. The staff is very helpful."
Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite
"The hotel is located near Yosemite, in a small village, with hotels on both sides. When checking in at Hampton, I was told that the kind bed room I booked was sold out, and there was only a queen bed. I thought it was too late, so I stayed there. Later, they said the curtains were broken, so they used bed sheets to hang. This was unacceptable. The Fairfield next to the hotel is a sister hotel, and they passed me there. When I checked in at that hotel, they charged me again. I had to negotiate with Ctrip and the hotel, and they refunded me after about a week. Because we arrived late, most restaurants were closed, and the only Denny’s was open until 10 o’clock, so I went there to fill my stomach."
Yosemite Sierra Inn
"Good and chea"
Château du Sureau
"This gem is located just over 90 minutes from the central Yosemite Valley. It provides all the comforts of the best B&Bs, like in room welcome wine & treats, comfortable beds, great dining, and exceptional service. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and great service at the intimate Cellar restaurant."
Days Inn by Wyndham Chowchilla Gateway to Yosemite
WorldMark Bass Lake
"Not much on-site activity but didn't need much considering the National Parks nearby. Hot tub was a blessing after hiking all day."
Queen's Inn by the River
"Clean and bright, with comfortable chairs and tables at the back, it's an unforgettable place to sit in the evening and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the woods and the afterglow of the sunset."
Narrow Gauge Inn
"Not far from the south entrance of Yosemite National Park, there's a row of houses along the road, with one or two more rows following the hillside. Although the rooms aren't large, they have heating and hot water, making them quite comfortable and suitable for overnight stays. This would be convenient for visiting Sequoia National Park the next day. We drove an hour from the valley to get here in the evening, and when we set off at 9 am the next day, we were surprised to find ourselves queuing for two hours just to get into the south entrance. I recommend leaving early; the staff queuing for park entry is very organized. We valued our time, and after visiting the Sequoias and Glacier Point, we didn't get back to San Francisco until 11:30 pm. If we had arrived earlier, we would have greatly reduced the risk of traffic accidents."
Mountain Trail Lodge and Vacation Rentals
"Hygiene: Not particularly good, location is OK"
Inn the Woods Suites
Outdoorsy Yosemite
"This is a membership camping resort and you must be a member or potential member. We are members because it was handed down to us by our parents. It is a great resort with approx 90 rv spots of many sizes to tent camping areas... It has lots to offer both "couple or family" rv'ers. It has a large swimming pool, horse shoes, ice cream social, adult rec room as well as a separate kids rec room. Many sites with full hook ups with 30/50 amps. There is a great little hiking trail right from the resort for a good little exercise as well as a good 10 min walk to the Pines Resort at the lake and its nearby little village. On our stay, we woke to a couple of deer feeding on the bushes at the next campsite. Beautiful scenery all around."
