Exmoor Manor Guest House Reviews

A quaint little house in a beautiful area of the country. The Hosts were friendly and had good tips for visiting the area. The breakfast was great. My only complaint was that the beds were a bit “aged” - they were the least comfortable of our trip this far.

Lovely location close to Lynmouth and Lynton. Beautiful property with loads of character. Our room was really large and included tv, fridge, kettle. The free wifi was very fast. Breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh to order each day. Stayed for 3 nights and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again - great hosts.

Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Bathroom was gorgeous. Owners have done a wonderful job bringing the hotel up to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent with lots to chose from. Plentiful parking. Great for visiting Lynton.

We had a great time at Exmoor Manor Hotel, a beautiful historic building with great rooms, it’s nice to have thermostatic valves on the radiators so you can set the room to your own temperature. The owners Kevin & Jan are at the top of their trade, friendly, knowledgeable, very nice people, even got Easter eggs for our grandchildren with clues for them to follow. Great location for all that’s on offer in the area. Big showers and lots of warm towels, coffee, tea and a fridge in the room. Great breakfast with lots of choice

Only stayed one night on a recommendation. Was superb in every aspect and couldn’t fault it. The pub next door served good home cooked food and was reasonably priced. The vegetarian option was so nice. Would definitely return should we ever be that way again.

Lovely venue, reasonable priced, bedrooms very nice. Clean comfortable and nicely done. Food ok - pub grub. Owner was selling but still made the effort to make us feel welcome. Short walk to the beach.

Excellent dog friendly accommodation. Proprietor very friendly. Rooms airy and large. Adjoining restaurant serving excellent food and drink. Breakfast very nice. Definitely recommend this hotel if your after a quiet break. Free parking

Booked a two night stay last minute, after finding our original Air BnB place unsuitable. Stayed Sunday and Monday, with our 6 month old very nervous pup. The hotel and linked restaurant next door are extremely pub friendly, the owners Keith & Jan, are excellent hosts, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, Keith was very kind and helped calm our pup when we first arrived, all the staff were excellent, all professional and helpful. Our room (room 1) was spotles clean, a lovely large bathroom with double shower and rolltop bath. Lots of nice extra touches in the room, that just made us feel relaxed and welcome. The food in the pub was spot on, really tasty and very reasonably priced. A good selection of well kept real ales on offer, with good drinks prices as well! The breakfast on both mornings was absoluteley lovely, good produce and well cooked. Keep an eye out for some of Jan's artwork, she is exceptionally talented indeed. All in all, a fantastic place to stay, we will be returning to stay again when we are next in the area, thanks for a great stay, Nick, Laura and Bodie the barky pup! All the best Keith & Jan.

We drove out into the sunshine hoping to find somewhere to stay on the North Devon coast and did! We stopped at the Exmoor Manor and where lucky to find they had a room unexpectedly free. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel and The Beggars Roost pub. The hotel room was spacious, comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We also had a great pub supper and were impressed by the warm welcome from the owners and all the staff. It’s in a peaceful location and we hope to return for a longer stay - thank you to all at the Exmoor Manor.
