"This trip was with my family to Zigong, and our stay at the Howard Johnson Zigong Hotel was excellent 😌. It's a five-minute walk from the high-speed rail station and not far from the city center by taxi. It's definitely a resort hotel. The hotel boasts a beautifully designed garden, and all the necessary facilities are readily available. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was plentiful, and we received a complimentary afternoon tea voucher and a simple late-night snack. We even got a free room upgrade on our last day! "Although this hotel does not have a star rating, the room facilities are very close to that of a five-star hotel. However, the decoration and individual equipment are a bit old, but it still does not affect the comfort of the accommodation. The hotel has a garden-like environment, the accommodation is very quiet, and the air is fresh. If If I have the opportunity to come to Ligong again in the future, I will definitely continue to choose Tanmulin Hotel."

"A huge contrast in my experience over the two nights. I arrived at 9:30pm and went to my room to find chaos on the corridor; other guests with no conscience or respect for others who think it is good to have groups of people in one room with the doors open between their adjoining rooms and televisions blaring and children running and screaming in the corridor with parents shouting after them, which continued until after 11:30pm. The breakfast was also exceptionally busy and noisy. However when I returned to the hotel later in the day the majority of people had gone and the hotel took on a completely different feel. It's rural location and large landscaped grounds helped to give it the serenity of which it was deserving. The staff worked incredibly hard to clean all of the rooms and yet still had time to bring small gifts to my room which I found when I returned. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and the room was large and comfortable with a nice view of greenery. Great location for the dinosaurs and also easy to obtain a Didi to get to the centre of Zigong. . Also walking distance to the Qinglong Reservoir which has a 13 mile circuit for cycling and annual half marathon running race."
