"A small hotel located on a main road on the outskirts of Lübeck. Due to traffic, we didn't arrive until 6:30 PM. We received a code to enter via the doorbell. The key was in the room. The Hotelchen is a somewhat dated and simple small hotel. The room was small and looked clean, except for the carpet, which was truly filthy (why not just have tiled floors?). The bathroom was truly subpar. The paint was peeling, and the tile grout was loose and therefore not clean. We booked another room for our return trip, and then we had a slightly larger room and bathroom. It also looked clean, but the carpet was also very bad. Breakfast was simple, but everything was there and tasted good. Only during breakfast did we encounter friendly people who took good care of our guests."

"Very nice, old house with its own atmosphere. Aidful and always friendly staff. Rich breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room with views on the Baltic beach. A large shortage is the bathrooms, which are modernised and top-cared, but are not useful for people with reduced mobility or more popular (almost) because of the narrow structures. The door of the shower is so installed that it is restricted when opened by the toilet sofa and thus only a larger divide is open. So you can only sneak (in the best case and with some slim figure) or stay out. That's not going, and it's certainly worth a hotel's note. But it seems to have been built in all rooms of the house."

"the fact that there is no lift, reception H24, few bathroom accessories available, breakfast is extremely simple (although well-treated) and may not be a buffet may harm some travelers, but this hotel is unique, The hotel is a good taste and history jewelry. It is not necessary to classify it with the usual stars or standards. We stayed in suite 2 with the terrace that allows you to enjoy the sun on the channel. A huge room with 18th century stuff, dark wood floor, a large and very comfortable bed and three huge windows from which it filters a wonderful light. A duck in the history of the Anseatic League (do not lose the stupid museum in the north side of the historic center!) for cultivated and refined travelers."
