"It was an incredible experience to stay in such a cute fairy-tale-like house for about 40,000 yen per room for my family! It makes me feel like I've bought a house in France. The garden is beautiful, and there are plenty of amenities (soap, coffee, tea, hair dryer, towels, etc.). The staff was also kind, and it was a very comfortable stay. The only disappointment was that the signal was too weak and I couldn't connect to Wi-Fi. However, the staff made their best effort to connect to the free signal, and since I have an eSIM, it wasn't a big problem. The problem was my father. In the first place, I wonder why he had to bring work with him on a trip, and he was frustrated that he couldn't use his PC and work, even though there are plenty of ways to do it, such as tethering. So, if you are staying, please come after finishing your work. If you do that, you will have a really wonderful experience. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to have the elegant experience of having breakfast on a nice terrace. But it was a wonderful inn that I would like to come back again just for that experience! Given the location of the town, it's not an easy place to travel to, but I think Japanese people especially love this place. It has an atmosphere and scenery that you definitely won't find in Japan... I can understand why people from overseas want to stay in a traditional Japanese house. I'm half wanting everyone to know about it, and half wanting to keep it a secret forever. There are plenty of beds, and the toilet and shower room are separate!"

"This hotel is a gem! There is nothing like it in all of Caen! To these 2 Americans, it felt very Parisian. Incredible location, kind staff who spoke excellent English (which we needed), wonderful hospitality, and though not inexpensive, a very good value! Be prepared to be flexible about parking, but parking is not a problem. Just have to do on-street parking, which is free at night, nearby. Dozens of fabulous restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and shopping nearby. Walking distance to all of the sites!"

"My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France."

"We had room 14 which was lovely but a little dark & was in a building separate to the Chateau, the receptionist on duty was very helpful & kindly changed the foam pillows to feather ones, the main restaurant is closed on a Sunday & Monday so we had to eat in the bar/bistro with a limited menu & disappointing food. Breakfast stops at 10.30am , we turned up at 10.00 to find most things had gone, I ordered poached eggs & was told that would be €9 extra, I wanted croissant s to go with the eggs as there were none left on the buffet, the waitress produced one tiny one on a plate, 15 minutes later my poached eggs arrived cold, no-one let the waitress know they were ready, I couldn’t eat them, my husband ‘& I agree we won’t go back."

"Charming manor house that is not at all prestigious. Pleasant setting with many activities on site. The swimming pool is ideal for children. The terrace is ideal for parents. The host is friendly and engaging and must have spent time doing all the work. So we come to the disadvantages of such a place. Many small details need to be reviewed to obtain a perfect copy and claim the score of 8.3 that was given to it. I would not say that everything is made of bits and pieces, but there are indeed plenty of details that can spoil a stay. Splinters in the foot because of the wood around the pool, doors that do not close, electrical system and haphazard plumbing and some rooms do not have shutters. What the owner has done is a titanic task... However, he should now focus on the finishing touches."

"A gem of a place to stay. Only 5 bedrooms and as far from a corporate experience as you can get! The rooms are very tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious. Our bathroom had a bath as well as shower. The garden is lovely, with a small, well heated pool. Eric’s welcome and help while we stayed was much appreciated. Breakfast was vast and delicious. Honfleur centre was close enough to walk to (but far enough away to ensure tranquility!)."

We had our baby with us and they made everything to make us feel comfortable with our baby. Breakfast is very good. Overall great experience."
