Terres de France - les Hameaux de Pomette
"Our holiday was a package holiday organised through LoveHolidays. Cazals is located about 3 hours drive from Bordeaux Airport and there was no transfer available with the package. So the remote location of Cazals is an issue to consider. Hameaux De Pomette is a small site. There is a Reception area, but opening hours are very limited. The accommodation was excellent. I would have like an oven in the kitchen but this is a minor item. The premises were clean and other than the oven issue, well equipped. However, the fee for bedlinen and towels was an unexpected expense. As was the cleaning fee. The person on duty has extremely limited English and whilst they made every effort in using a translator app, I found it difficult to make anything other than straightforward queries. So, if you have good French language skills, this is not an issue. If you do not, as is the case with me, you might find this frustrating. Also, the site is based on a hill. Not an issue for me, but definitely an issue for the rest of my family - our accommodation was based almost at the top of the hill. Again, this is more than likely something outside the control of those operating the site - with the minited size of the site, it would have been difficult to move us to a location closer to the bottom of the hill. Nonetheless, the fact that the site is based on a hill may be a factor to people with limited mobility. The site has a good sized swimming pool and we made a lot of use of it - definitely a very positive feature of the site. The site is located about 2km from Cazals, a small village which is an absolute pleasure to visit. The village has a reasonable sized supermarket, chemist, several restaurants and a regular market. As mentioned previously, Cazals is remote. If you have a car, dont mind a long drive from the airport and appreciate excellent countryside and lovely quaint French villages and you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday (and not looking for high octane thrills, clubbing etc), and you have good French language skills, this is an excellent holiday. My family enjoyed their stay. However, the constraints imposed by our package holiday (i.e. a very expensive and long transfer from Bordeaux Airport) and the language issues detracted from our holiday."
Auberge du Relais d'Auniac - Hôtel Bar Restaurant Bistronomique Piscine
Logis Hôtels - Hôtel Restaurant Domaine les Falaises
"Situated right under the cliffs as is the whole village with the Dordogne a short stroll away. You can rent canoes there paddle down the river for a few clicks and you don't have to paddle back, they come and get you, brilliant. The hotel is excellent good accommodation good food, and sooooo relaxing. Prices are reasonable, about right I would say. I wonder if the relaxing feeling is anything to do with the trees, something about endomorphines. Anyway if want a restful stay I recommend here."
La Chartreuse Logis Hotel Restaurant
Le Bois d'Imbert
"The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable."
Domaine de Saint-Géry - Teritoria
"Some places feed you, others stay with you long after you leave the table. At Maison Duler, there is a quiet elegance in the cooking. It is thoughtful, generous and refined without pretension. Every plate arrived with genuine passion and care rather than performance. And then there was the bread-making class. Warm hands in flour, the scent of fermenting dough, the patience and passion of Patrick and Louis… It became far more than an activity. It was one of those rare experiences that reminds you how meaningful hospitality can feel when it comes from people who truly love what they do. Thank you to Pascale, whose sense of hospitality, beauty, and attention to detail is simply unparalleled, and to Patrick, Camille and Louis who made our stay simply magical. We are already dreaming about our next visit. Caroline"
Hotel La Segaliere Spa Bar
"We stayed at this hotel recently and were quite disappointed. First, we chose this hotel specifically because the website says it has air conditioning, but when we arrived, we were told that our particular room did NOT have air conditioning, that "only some rooms" have air conditioning. To make matters worse, the room we were given was on the ground floor, right by the entrance, with a sliding glass door. The choice that night, then, was to open the door for fresh air and to feel unsafe, or to close the door and sweat all night long. We chose the former option, but it meant we had to sleep with one eye open, and endure the noise of people coming and going through the front door. Worst of all, the manager, Patricia, was very unfriendly and unhelpful. When I told her that my lost luggage might be delivered by the airline to the hotel, her response was "Well there's no telling what will happen to it if it is -- you may be quite unhappy with the result." Where is the professionalism of her position in such a response? Needless to say, we were glad to leave the hotel, and to continue our vacation in hotels with kinder, more responsive staff."
Le Pavillon Saint-Martin
"Le Pavillon Saint Martin is a charming hotel in a historic building in the center of Souillac. The location is perfect for visiting such places as Lascaux, Rocamadour and Gouffre de Padirac. The breakfast had plenty of choices. There is a small lift, so you don't have to carry your luggage upstairs. The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious. The only disappointment is the room and decor were a tad tired and could use some refreshing."
Hôtel Les Gabarres
"Amazing hotel to discover the Lot Department. Locations is great, close to every major attraction, and great restaurants nearby. It is a family owned hotel, excellently managed by Aurelie. Cleanliness at top level. She is always there to support and to give tips about the area. Kids loved the pool, and cycling, kayaking and trekking are one step away!"
Brit Hotel Privilège Figeac
"The rooms are perfectly located and the rooms are very comfortable."
Le Faubourg
Hôtel Mercure Figeac Viguier du Roy
"Beautiful hotel and grounds in heart of this stunning town. Very helpful staff at reception when a large group of cars arrived all at once. Hotel is tucked away in narrow streets. Swimming pool small but lovely break from the heat. We ate in the restaurant, food was delicious but super small portions nouveau cuisine and the waiter came across as quite rude trying hard to upsell the wine. We were a large group and know what wines we like. Limited menu and out of three desserts only 2 available."
Logis Hotel Grangier
Hôtel-Spa le Saint Cirq
"So everything is confused in the PRICE of the reservation! *you are told that you have access to the spa but BE CAREFUL that this costs 18e/person, which was not announced to me even though I asked the question during my pre-reservation on the phone. *massage at the spa is obviously chargeable BUT you will have to pay 18th extra because the cabins are at the spa, you have to pay the right of passage. *Breakfast at 15th does not include a second orange juice which will be charged to you in addition *the room has neither television nor kettle. Limit for a 3 star."
