"For a relatively small unassuming town to have such a lovely hotel was a real surprise. The staff were fantastic - went out of their way on every occasion to help and deal with even the smallest of issues. The room was excellent - clean, decent sized, a very comfortable bed, a great bathroom and lots of space in every area. Breakfast was really impressive - an incredible range of food and drink ... I was particularly impressed by the three (yes, 3!) different kinds of Rhubarb jam!"

"I stayed there alone for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The room was very large and clean, and the staff were very friendly. The location is excellent, with a train station directly opposite. The hotel has a pub, and fortunately, the doors are well soundproofed, so you don't hear a thing."

"A clean, comfortable hotel with very helpful staff. Buffet breakfast with good variety. Within walking distance of the train & tram station/stop. Hotel appeared to be getting renovated - this did not impact our stay negatively in any way."

"Great central location. Well appointed room with comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with L’Occitane toiletries. (Also had a hair dryer though this was not mentioned on the room description). Great service with clean towels and bottled water each day. Also a good breakfast - and all for a very reasonable price. On asking the hotel provided a regional travel pass for the duration of my stay. Not only does this cater for transport to Basel - but also to numerous towns - I visited Bad Säckingen, Rheinfelden and Zell as well. Only minor minus point was that the wi-fi password was hidden away in the box containing tea and coffee - could have been more prominently displayed. Overall great experience and I would return."
