"We checked in around 8:30-9:00 PM on June 7, 2026. The staff member at reception was incredibly kind and helpful, which made for a great start to our stay. The hot water worked perfectly, the breakfast was excellent, and the hotel's location, just a short walk to the sea, was fantastic. They have a swimming pool that didn't smell strongly of chlorine, and it's about 1 to 1.85m deep. There's also a hot spa right next to it with wonderfully warm water. I'd definitely want to come back! Just a heads-up: you'll need to buy your own bottled water when you check in, as none is provided in the room."

Parts of the bathroom were unclean and slight smell in the room but overall it was comfortable and fine for one night."

"We arrived around 7:30, but the front desk had already closed and there was no contact number, so we didn't know what to do. I contacted Ctrip and called the hotel but couldn't get through. After leaving a message, I received a call from the hotel around 9:30 pm. Later, I asked other guests and found a letter left for us at the front desk. Only then did I find the room and the room key. Other aspects are good, but the service is a little lacking, it may be due to cultural differences"

"Loved the stay - host came out to receive us as we arrived late at about 6pm. Saw 2 kangaroos hopping by, many cockatoos and parrots and managed to feed some with the seeds that were left in the house. The fireplace was also a unique experience."

"The most satisfying part of the itinerary in Australia is the main road, a large suite, a living room with a large terrace, and a full-height floor-to-ceiling window. Affordable Family Friendly Accommodation & just 15 mins. along the Great Ocean Road from Lorne. Wye Dream is a classic older style beach house (it used to be the Surf Life Saving Club Bunkhouse), we love it & so will you, with open plan living area/kitchen, a wood fire and two decks both with views of the waves.
Comfortable lounge with Plasma TV & toy box for the kids.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with bush and sea views. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunks & trundle bed, and the second bedroom has a queen size bed.
Everything is within easy walking distance, only a 100 metres to the beach and The General Store (great coffee)and a further 100 metres to the Wye River Pub. You can leave the car in the driveway and forget about parking problems.
Great for a family or two couples. Leave the busy city behind and relax in this spacious 2 bedroom beach house. Take a deep breath watch the waves roll in, look for Koalas in the trees & remember what life is really about !
