Welcome to Harmony House! Harmony House is a charming, traditional homestay with five floors, offering a cozy stairway experience, nestled in a peaceful yet vibrant corner of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to experience authentic local life inside the small, historic homes that make up Hanoi’s iconic 36-Street Quarter. Our homestay sits right in the heart of the city, hidden within the famous food alley “Ngõ Phất Lộc,” which connects to three bustling streets: Hàng Mắm, Lương Ngọc Quyến, and Nguyễn Hữu Huân. It takes just a 2-minute walk to reach some of the Old Quarter’s most lively highlights, including Tạ Hiện Street—often called the “international crossroads of Hanoi,” known for its vibrant street food and local beer culture. Within walking distance, you’ll also find popular local spots such as Giảng Café with its signature hot or iced egg coffee, and Xôi Yến—the best-known sticky rice in Hanoi. From here, you can easily observe the daily rhythm of local life and immerse yourself in the authentic spirit of the city. Although Harmony House is surrounded by many of Hanoi’s most energetic areas, it still offers a quiet and comfortable atmosphere—an ideal place to unwind while staying close to numerous must-see attractions.

The location is so perfect! The hostel is clean. We stayed for 2 nights. AC was working well. There’s also a fan inside our room which I used to dry some of my wet clothes from halong bay cruise 🤫. It’s a self check in. Add the whatsapp of the owner, send a message of your booking and she’ll tell you a caretaker would come to give you the keys to your room on your check in time.

The location of the hotel is the best. Its super close to the old quarter so you can easily find good food. The problem is in terms of cleanliness. The curtains are dirty and the ac has a very dark filter probably due to dust. I came in early so I understand why I didnt get to check in early but some Chinese tourists came in after me and they checked in immediately. I left my luggage and went around the city. I came back around 3 pm and the front desk helped me with my baggage. I thought that was really nice of them to do. The bed was comfortable. It could get loud in the morning because its in a busy area but if you will go out anyway, thats fine. Overall, the hotel fee is cheap so you get what you pay for but the location is good and convenient for travelers. Staff members are also nice.

Here is your expanded English version: ⸻ The hotel charges almost a full day’s rate for early check-in, which I found quite unreasonable. Even if you arrive just a few hours earlier than the standard check-in time, you are required to pay nearly the same amount as staying an extra night. It would have been more considerate if they offered a more flexible or discounted early check-in option for guests. Room service was also not very attentive. Housekeeping did not automatically clean or refresh the room unless we specifically requested it. Basic services such as tidying up the room, replacing towels, or refilling amenities were only done after we called and asked. This made the overall stay feel less comfortable and less welcoming. Overall, the hotel is not terrible, but it certainly does not stand out as an excellent place to stay. The service and policies do not justify being considered among the best. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of customer service, flexibility, and overall guest experience.

The room was a bit small and on a low floor, but it was mainly convenient for exploring Hanoi's city center. The location is excellent; you can step right out of the building and stroll through the Old Quarter. There are tons of great food and fun things to do there, perfect for experiencing a taste of a foreign culture. No tall buildings, just a lively, authentic atmosphere. Just a heads up, check-out starts at 11 AM.

Overall, the hotel is not really for everyone. First, the cleanliness could be better. The floor felt sticky, as if it hadn’t been properly washed with soap for quite some time. I stayed for two nights, and on the second day no water was brought to the room. There is no elevator, so you have to walk up a narrow staircase to the second or third floor. With luggage it can be quite inconvenient but the staff helped me with it. The area is very noisy. If you want to stay right in the middle of the pub street and enjoy the nightlife, it’s actually a perfect location. It can also work well for groups of young travelers — four people can easily stay in one room. For me personally it wasn’t the best fit. However, the staff at the reception were very friendly and always willing to help. Overall, I would rate it around a 3 out of 5.

For a solo traveler, a room's atmosphere is very crucial to maintain a positive attitude, and experience. This room is tastefully decorated, with simple and creative wall decor pieces and the essential furnishings. There are travel guidebooks in French on the bedside table for reading, fabric deco with tropical leaves next to the clothing rack, and woven leather and wicker plates on the bed wall, and filtered colorful framed photos on the wall next to the bathroom, giving the room a homely eclectic bohemian vibe, in addition. Overall, a pleasant and meaningful stay for a traveler in this room, specifically, and also in this homestay in general.

Amazing
MManish NegiHolo Central Hanoi: A Memorable Stay for Travelers. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holo Central in Hanoi, a serviced apartment complex that offers a unique blend of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. Located in the heart of the city, it’s an ideal choice for travelers looking to experience the spirit of Vietnam while enjoying modern amenities. Location: Perfect for Exploration Holo Central's location is one of its main highlights. Situated within walking distance of key attractions such as the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, and various local markets, it’s easy to immerse yourself in Hanoi's vibrant culture. The convenience of nearby public transportation further enhances accessibility, allowing visitors to explore historical sites, try local cuisine, and experience the bustling street life. Accommodations: Stylish and Comfortable Upon entering my apartment, I was greeted by a contemporary design that perfectly balanced traditional Vietnamese elements with modern aesthetics. The space was tastefully decorated with warm tones and local artwork, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The layout was practical, featuring a comfortable bedroom, a cozy living area, and a fully equipped kitchenette. This made it easy to prepare meals or enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with high-quality linens that guaranteed restful nights after long days of exploration. The attention to detail in the decor and functionality of the apartments contributed to an overall feeling of home. Amenities: Enhancing the Stay Holo Central offers a range of amenities that cater to the diverse needs of travelers. Reliable high-speed Wi-Fi was a significant perk, essential for digital nomads like me. The on-site laundry facilities provided convenience, allowing me to refresh my wardrobe during my stay. Additionally, the beautifully designed common areas, including a lounge and terrace, offered great spaces to unwind. The terrace provided stunning views of the city—perfect for enjoying a sunset while sipping a local beverage. Exceptional Service: A Key Highlight The standout feature of Holo Central is undoubtedly its exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth, with staff members who took the time to explain the amenities and share recommendations for local dining and attractions. Throughout my stay, the team was consistently attentive, readily offering assistance with any requests. Their dedication to providing a memorable experience was evident, making Holo Central feel like a community rather than just a place to stay. Exploring Hanoi: The Ideal Base Staying at Holo Central was not only about enjoying the apartment but also about exploring the vibrancy of Hanoi. The convenient location allowed for spontaneous adventures, from wandering through the Old Quarter to discovering quaint cafes and shops. One of the highlights of my trip was joining a street food tour arranged by the staff. Led by a local guide, I tasted delicious dishes that I would have otherwise overlooked. It was an enriching way to connect with the culture and flavors of Vietnam. Value for Money: Worth the Investment Considering the quality of accommodations, amenities, and service, Holo Central offers excellent value for money. Compared to other hotels in the area, these serviced apartments provide a level of comfort and personal touch that is hard to find. Whether you’re on a short getaway or a longer stay, Holo Central is a worthy investment.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers excellent value for money. We booked a two-bedroom suite that came with a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. The hotel is conveniently located near many great restaurants and supermarkets, making life very easy. We enjoyed borrowing the hotel's bicycles to cycle around the lake, which was lovely. The front desk exchanges foreign currency, but only US dollars, and the exchange rate is quite good. When there were activities at the hotel, we could join in, and the kids absolutely loved them.

RRalfNeeded a good night of test without noise from streets. This was possible on the 7th floor according to the employee. The room was only five meters away from the road and I think the occupancy was about 25% Maximum. And this is royal measured. The window in the bathroom didn't even close. I asked for another room away from the road and with windows that can close. I was offered another room. Again a window that was broken, but I fixed it in a way it's closed now. Lifted up the locking system at the side of the window, but it fell down, so now the window doesn't open anymore. Small window. There's also a big window. Because of having big windows these rooms are being considered to be executive rooms. Never reared about window size influencing the level of hierarchy. But at the other side of the window there's a wall and it's a very creepy hole you stare in. I didn't really feel executive because of that. But still I got the one night of rest I needed to normally open my eyes again. It's creepy when you're so tired that your eyes just can't open anymore. Big fat eyes the next day. Suddenly the younger girl behind the reception approach me with an extreme humble tone of voice telling me that it's actually an executive room. I literally asked myself if they had the gutted attitude to sell me an upgrade. Never mind, relocation is coming anyways. Hanoi is a very dusty city. I mean extremely dusty. So dusty that the damage and harm it causes to visit this place really doesn't make yhe visit feels really worthy. Also the communism is absolutely what didn't suit me personally at all. I am socially more developed. In general I had the impression that they employees where friendly, but it's their job. Not their job to be aggressive as I experienced once when I just asked the question what sports Vietnamese people.like the most. But this was in check out day. And the sinistry in the laugh of the male receptionist towards the taxi driver after they pushed me into.paying more for what I ordered online completely woke me up. But it's also weird yo say that the new owner is less kayak and in the meantime trying to sell me.more nights and saying I should return. I completely don't understand this way of handling. Asking 30% extra for a early check in. I saw yes when booked one or two nights, but when one booked a week then I would give it for free. In my case I understand that I needed to pay more for that 3 hour earlier checking in. But my explanation was clear. I need rest and lay down in normality, instead of walking on the streets wearing me out even more. The option offered didn't have anything to do with customer focus. More customer abuse in the most possible hardcore form. And this was the second accommodation in Hanoi where this abuse happened. I only had two accommodation totally indeed. Yes that's correct fellow traveller. Horror travel horror. Now comes the materialistic reviewing: Beds brand new and 100% awesome and healthy. Spotless clean and even when you refuse room cleaning it still happens. Very need to do that. Amen to the cleaner lady. Welcome Hall is pleasant. Shower is nice. It's very noisy in the front of the building, but I've only seen one room and I know that women follow the extinguishers agenda from Europe and I experienced this extremely in Vietnam. It even makes me feel.Viet Numb. But that's a good sign. 7 days left and at least I've experienced a bit what the U.S. army experienced back then. Viet Numb for me is more like a Tour of Duty. I see a red door and I want to paint it black. Communists not my people.

EExpat EDventuresWhat a great location in the middle of the hustle in bustle! This hotel is a family owned and operated business. We met the owners son and wife who manage the property and they are lovely people and give great recommendation. Check-in was quick and seamless. They greeted us with welcome tea and gave us a map with a thorough briefing of the best places to eat and visit. They even ran our luggage up and had someone turn the AC on before we got in our room so it would be cool upon entry. The room was cozy and the bed had a supportive mattress but I am partial to the hard beds of Asia. Breakfast was at the top in a beautiful space and they made your eggs to order. I only wish the shower door did a better job of keeping the water in. We tried to book them after our HaLong Bay cruise canceled but sadly they were fully booked. We will be back!

MMrsGhouliaStayed at Hoa Hoang Hotel for 3 weeks. Service: 1. The front desk receptionist, Nga, is helpful, patient, and polite. She is always cheerful and attentive, even while handling calls and assisting other guests. She addressed my concerns clearly, answered all my questions, and is very pleasant to communicate with. 2. Breakfast buffet: staff is always on their feet. I see there’s two main servers, sometimes a third one. They’re very focused but it’s also because they have a lot of tasks - prep, cook, clean, replenish and clear all the dining tables. The tables are not always wiped down, but if you ask, they will address it immediately. Two weeks in, they hired a fourth server which was nice because tables were cleared and cleaned faster. There were a variety of food options with a few soup dishes that rotated each day. They serve mainly carbs and didn’t have many vegetarian options and not a lot of protein in general. They had breakfast chits that we would have to collect from the front desk each day and hand-in to the breakfast staff, they’re very on top of collecting the chits. 3. Room service: We never ordered food to the room. For a few nights, we did order dinner (rice, meat and a veggie dish). They can make anything you ask for either for lunch or dinner. If you don’t feel like going out, their cooking is quite tasty. We’d asked for new towels daily, our 2 water bottles, toilet paper and to empty our garage. We would ask to change or bedding every few days. 4. Rooms 614/615: 614 is the superior twin room and 615 is the superior queen room. My mom stayed in room 614 and my husband stayed in room 615 while I went back and forth. Furniture and flooring was exactly like in the photo online. Both rooms had working air conditioner and a ceiling fan and working mini fridge. TV in the rooms were not a SMART TV but we didn’t mind. The room cost the same although I don’t think room 615 is as nice as 614 since the washroom in 615 felt a bit older (the trimming had more mold and ceiling height was low). My husband who is 5 feet 8 inches (172 cm) would need to bow down to wash his head. Toilets flushed well in both rooms and water pressure was strong. There were tiny ants in both washroom floors and counters but it is Vietnam, we accepted it. Since it was not filled with them, it was not a concern. Beddings and towels are OKAY (meaning it was a pass for us) Some had light stains and tiny rips but it didn’t feel disgusting. 5. Cost: It was about $36 CAD after fees and taxes for each room, I booked a few nights online and a few nights in person which worked out to be around the same price after the conversion. Depending on the website promo, you may be able to get a better price per night online. 6. Location: calling for a taxi, grab, xanh sm takes a tiny bit of time because they’re on a one way street. But it’s walking distance to a park which is great! Overall rating 3.7, I would say it is like a Best Western hotels/suites in Canada. Service and staff 4 star, building and rooms 3.5 star. According to google, they are a 3 star hotel and I would agree. I would recommend a couple and family to stay. And I would return.

AAnonymous UserI’ve chosen this place because it was close to the airport. The first thing is I assumed that because it’s close it’ll be really easy to get there after arrival, but actually taxi drivers don’t want to go there because for them is better to get more money from the trip to the city center then driving you for five min to this hotel. Then after finally arriving the staff that will meet you won’t have any hint of a smile on their face and will treat you like you’ve pissed them off only with your disturbance of their peace, the morning shift by the way was exactly the same. The room itself was ok, just as I assumed by the pictures but with the closer look you can see that lots of breakage and damaged stuff in the room

SSophiie/!\ Avoid this hotel. We would never recommend this hotel for your stay in Hanoi. Stayed 18-20 April 2025: 3 days, 2 nights. 1/ Overbooking situation - cancellation the day before landing My friend and I booked two separate rooms to stay at this hotel, the day before the check in, my friend's booking got cancelled by the hotel without information. We had contacted the hotel several times in vain, then it was confirmed that they have overbooked the hotel which caused to trouble to start with our holiday. Hotel Director of sales M. Victor N. did replied by email on the checking day 18/4 few hours before that ”we don't know the fact. You can make your reservation on our website now.” The remaining option on 18/4 morning was a ”suite” 14 times higher rate than our initial booking... Therefore once arrived at Hanoi, we wanted to get a refund of my remaining booking but the hotel reception lady Mrs Ruby was not helpful at first and rude towards us. Her non hospitality professionalism and communication led us feel very unwelcomed (no smile, no thank you, speaking vietnamese with her colleague in front of us). May need to review if she really should stay at the reception as this is client facing interaction and should be solution driven. She strictly insisted that she doesn't know why we only got one room left and my booking was non refundable even tough they did cancelled my friend's one few hours ago. After negotiation, she kept saying as it is non refundable, either we stay, either we book another room. At that moment, there was an another room not the Suite one that just got available ”King room” and if we could pay the price difference which is higher than our initial paid booking and need to stay together in the same room. As we just started the holidays and to not loose the money that we could not get refunded, we paid the difference to change to that room. We paid in cash to get that room. We thought that was going to be just one off issue/misunderstanding and could start our holidays. Note: If you pay in credit card they will charge 3% additional. The exchange rate is more convenient to change at jewelry gold shop in Hàng Bac street (5 mins walk), the rate at the hotel is too high, don't change there. 2/ Cleanliness As we got this better king's room with window, we were expecting that to be at least clean and suitable for 2 pax. The bed sheets and cushions were yellowish, the floor was not vacuum (dead bees staying there whole stay), the slippers are dirty, the wall is stained and some unfinished renovation. The worst is the shower/bathtub, once you shower, it will flood to the room, we had to put towels to absorb the water in the room. You have to ask for towels if they clean your room as they will forget. 3/ Breakfast Be aware that it is from 6:30am to 9:30am, the breakfast is correct as a mini buffet Overall this hotel is average, the positive points are the location and the other gentleman receptionist allowing us to have a ”late check out” at noon instead of 11am, as if after noon they will charge one night more. The hotel should stop with overbooking rooms that will cause unnecessary stress situation for everyone and need to be renovated. To be honest, you can have much more great options nearby, CLEAN and with great hospitality service. As part of holidays and for a decent price, just book another hotel to avoid negative start for your holidays. Enjoy your stay in Hanoi and in Vietnam! PS: on some platform it is indicated there is a gym but there is none. And the hotel team is aware of these comments as we filled the same to their paper review form.

GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store. Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it. The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders. I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
