Its our second stay at the Pod51. The staff is definitly amazing and so is the location! This time we had another room thatbwas less comfortable because it was organized sobthat the bed was near the entrance and thentable and chair was in the other side and then its hard to be 2 in the pod. Also there was a lot of waterbrunning through the pipes. That was noisy. But the staff of the pod51 is a very serviceminded and nice staff

Good for solo traveller, 750m from the MTA M line, if you’re looking for the budget friendly place, this is the place, Hilton standard. However, there is no fridge, and there might be noise from traffics on the street in early morning, I used silicone earplugs and it work for me. It was a great choice to stay here.

It was a decent stay at Hotel 57. Natural advantage given location of the hotel, with tons of food options nearby, and walking distance to most of my meetings in midtown Manhattan.
I find the design of the room sub par. For instance, the TV is above the study area, and the latter is kinda boxed up. The tap lever in the toilet needs to be pushed in to on the water supply, which is unintuitive. There isn’t a natural spot to open up the luggage for packing.
Overall, the pros do outweigh the cons for the most part.

The location is fantastic, very close to Grand Central Station. You can take the subway to Grand Central - 42nd St and use the exit shown in the picture, which has an elevator so you don't have to drag your luggage up and down stairs. From the hotel, you can walk to many major attractions in NYC, including Times Square, Broadway, and Central Park. The room was quite a bit smaller than I expected. The double bed was very small, and there was no refrigerator, microwave, or safe in the room. However, the room was very clean. On the 27th floor, there's a free coffee machine available all day, along with an ice dispenser and washing machine. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily.

The location is absolutely fantastic, just perfect!!! It's a 1-minute walk to Grand Central Station and the subway, about a 3-minute walk to Summit One Vanderbilt, around an 8-minute walk to the Public Library, within a 10-15 minute walk to the UN, and about a 15-minute walk to the Empire State Building. Times Square is also within a 15-20 minute walk. All other tourist attractions are easily accessible via the subway at Grand Central. The hotel's price is incredibly, incredibly reasonable, and the location offers amazing value for money!!! The room itself is also spacious!!! Overall, the experience was superb, highly recommended!!!

The hotel's hygiene was good, and the lobby's color scheme was pleasant. Located in the heart of New York City, the room was a bit small. Although we booked a third-party room, the front desk informed us that our gold card could be used, giving us a $46 credit daily, which was a nice gesture. It's conveniently located, very close to the subway station.
The hotel's soundproofing wasn't great. Upon arrival, we had to pay a $75 per day deposit (which was shown on the platform). Additionally, there was a $30 daily 'Destination fee' for each night's stay, which we were unaware of in advance. Besides this, there were two additional taxes (as shown in image 6). So, in terms of cost, beyond the room rate already paid on the platform, these extra charges need to be added.
The hotel's breakfast was delicious and almost felt free (menu attached). They offer service in English and Spanish. Overall, the experience was decent. I suggest the platform clearly display all additional fees.

The shower faucet in the room was broken. At first, it wouldn't turn on at all. Then, water trickled out, and I barely managed to take a shower. I really didn't have the energy to call someone for repairs. When I woke up in the morning to take my medication, I realized there was no water in the room. I asked the front desk for water. Two hours went by, and no one delivered it. Finally, they told me no one was available to deliver it and I had to go to the front desk myself to get it. They should have told me that earlier; I would have gone down myself right away. In the end, I still went down to get it myself, and after I got back, the hotel sent up four more bottles of water. I'm truly speechless. The hotel offered me a complimentary breakfast, but I already had plans for breakfast with someone. They also offered me a late checkout, but I had already booked a car for 11:00 AM to go to the airport. Sigh. This stay at a hotel in the US has been full of problems. Things have just been a bit off.

Arrived to a pot smelling room. They suspect that the window was open and the smell drifted in. I had to stay another night and that room had left over toiletries that were obviously already used. The staff were helpful in letting me change rooms and were fast to respond.
Debit card holds of $200 need to wait 30 days for release which they don’t tell you, only saying credit cards are a few days. Annoying to have to keep track of it for so long.
The area is a little questionable between the subway to the hotel at nighttime. Not well lit in areas and not many people around with dark construction sites and no footpaths.

The room was incredibly spacious, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's super close to 5th Avenue and Times Square, just a quick walk away. There's a supermarket nearby and tons of restaurants, which is really convenient. The room service was also great, very diligent and excellent!

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel has an excellent location with easy access to the city center. It was clean; however, the facilities were limited. The elevator was not very convenient, and the service—especially for breakfast and hospitality—was quite weak. In addition, basic amenities such as cleaning supplies, slippers, and proper bathroom equipment were missing.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: Good, large TV.
Hygiene: As clean as ever.
Service: Quick check-in.
Location: Very close to the subway and train stations, and getting to the airport isn't too much hassle. Highly recommended for getting around New York!
KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there, and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-) either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!
SShuozoujiuzoudekaiwenThis hotel boasts a great location with easy access to transportation, and the shuttle service to LaGuardia Airport is a definite plus. My overall experience was fantastic. Firstly, the front desk staff were incredibly professional and welcoming, making check-in a breeze and instantly putting me at ease. The room itself was spacious and well-arranged, with a perfectly soft and comfortable bed. The cleanliness was impeccable, with attention to detail evident – no strange odors or dust anywhere. Restaurants, shops, and public transportation were all easily accessible nearby. My only minor suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of breakfast options, but overall, it's excellent value for money and highly recommended. I would definitely consider staying here again.
CcolaffeeThe room was incredibly tiny, and the facilities were far from satisfactory. The front desk staff was even worse. When I had a nosebleed in the morning, they showed no concern whatsoever. In fact, when I asked about the deposit, their attitude became even more hostile. All things considered, this has to be the most outrageous hotel I've ever stayed in.
KKyle TanIt was seamless, from check-in to check-out. I was able to request for late check-out. Upon check-out I left my luggage so I could still roam around. Got my luggage back safe. Breakfast is okay. Not grand. But I was able to eat everything. I normally couldn’t eat breakfast from cheap priced bookings cause it’s normally bad, but here, I was able to make use of it.
GGuest UserBeing near Soho made it a great place for market research. The hotel smelled great, was clean, and had a great customer experience. And most of all, the free wellness classes held every morning were fantastic. I'd love to visit again.
XXiuxian0858The room itself is actually great value for money, but the facilities are basic. There's no paid drinking water in the room, and you have to go to the second floor to buy it, which is really inconvenient. Downstairs, there's a place to store luggage, but not overnight. The location is convenient; it's a 5-6 minute walk to the Charging Bull, and you can easily walk to the New York Stock Exchange and other financial areas. There's a subway entrance directly across from the hotel, with at least four platforms nearby, which is very handy. It's also close to the South Ferry. If you buy a New York City unlimited weekly subway pass, getting around is super easy from here.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and we even got free bar vouchers. It was super convenient to get to MOMA, Central Park, and Times Square, with a subway station right outside the door.
GGuest UserStart with the bad
Room was really cold even with the heater on full blast . There was a balcony and the balcony door was quite loose and draughty, the windows were not double glaze and you could hear a lot of the sirens and going on’s outside . The room was very dated but clean . No remote for the tv. Not many plug sockets and some did not look safe . The main door had a dent in the front and didn’t feel very secure . We had 2 double beds and they were quite springy .
The good
Staff at reception were really friendly, the bell boys were really attentive . Breakfast was included in my price and it was just a drink weather it be hot drink , a pastry and a piece of fruit . I enjoyed. Plenty of lifts to the rooms. The room was spacious and plenty of room. Plenty of towels and the maid came in every day and replenished. The location was great and it was in the quieter area of Times Square. The shower was good and there was also a bath. For the price we paid though was really good location and base. 30 mins walk to Maddison square garden . 10 mins to Central Park . 10 mins to rockerfella.
