Perfect hotel for a solo light traveler.
I had an overall good experience at the now NoHo, all staff were brilliant helpful and accommodating. They gave me great suggestions for places to go and eat. The only real “issue” I had while staying there were nosey neighbours as the pod hotel style rooms had open ceilings, aswell as the room size itself being quite cramped. I’m 6”3 and I had 1 full size suitcase as well as a carryon duffle bag and it was quite hard to navigate inside the room with both bags. To be fair it is a pod hotel so the room size being small wasn’t too alarming however I have stayed in pod hotels where there’s more than enough space to manoeuvre a suitcase around. Overall I would recommend this hotel for solo travellers because of the location, staff, and affordability.

Awesome location. Very easy to get in and out. Decent size rooms, but definitely a bit dated. Wifi was a little spotty, but this is just what you need for a business stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The room itself is actually great value for money, but the facilities are basic. There's no paid drinking water in the room, and you have to go to the second floor to buy it, which is really inconvenient. Downstairs, there's a place to store luggage, but not overnight. The location is convenient; it's a 5-6 minute walk to the Charging Bull, and you can easily walk to the New York Stock Exchange and other financial areas. There's a subway entrance directly across from the hotel, with at least four platforms nearby, which is very handy. It's also close to the South Ferry. If you buy a New York City unlimited weekly subway pass, getting around is super easy from here.

Overall a very solid hotel with very welcoming and helpful front desk staff. The rooms are decently sized for NYC and well-appointed with the essentials.
I was impressed when on at least one evening there was even turndown service.
The shower took a minute or so to have a proper water flow, though the pressure was never all that great.
I appreciate having the Nespresso machine and pods in the room.
I’m always glad to stay at this property especially because I very much like the location, not in the heart of a touristic area but still with many fantastic places to eat, excellent subway connectivity, and convenient shopping for the basics.

This is the second time our family stayed in this hotel, probably the best choice in Lower East. The hotel manager Milta is really kind and helpful. The cleaning lady Nancy is also very kind and treated our family with extra care. The club and the roof top lounge is also a nice place to hang out and do some work in the morning, and have a drink and spend an evening with friends at night. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York.

Relaxed and comfortable stay. The room was clean and a good size, with a patio that caught sun during the day and had a striking view at night. Staff were attentive, easygoing and personable, which gave the place a nice vibe.
The location is convenient, right between Chinatown and Little Italy and close to trains and SoHo, though it leans a bit touristy. Nights came with some background noise (likely AC units), but it was only a minor distraction.
WiFi worked fine, the bed was comfortable, and while a screen door for the patio would have been useful, the linen curtains did a decent job. Overall, a solid and well-situated hotel worth recommending.

Being near Soho made it a great place for market research. The hotel smelled great, was clean, and had a great customer experience. And most of all, the free wellness classes held every morning were fantastic. I'd love to visit again.

Very friendly hotel situated on the F line metro. So very convenient for Times Square etc. Free hot drinks provided at lobby and reception will arrange taxi to JFK (cost $77 comparable to uber). Room felt small with two double beds, especially compared to other hotels in Chicago and New Orleans. The cost of the room was also very expensive for what it was - but that may reflect New York prices.

The staff at moxy East village were amazing -they switched my room upon realizing a bug issue and when the new rooms tv wasn’t working the staff came up promptly to fix. You really can’t ask for more than that. Issues will come up and it’s how staff handles it that shows me they value my business . I will stay again.
The Standard, East Village is cozy, charming, and eccentric in equal measure—very much in the spirit of its surroundings. You enter the 21-story tower through an original tenement-style building before ascending to unparalleled views of Manhattan.

I had booked a corner king and upon arrival there was a stain on the carpet and asked to be moved to a clean room, which they did immediately and got a better view. The experience manager Josh was very welcoming and informed me about the different types of corner Kings so that I could choose the one I preferred.
When I returned for a second stay a few days later he offered me some thoughtful amenities and the front of house staff remembered me by name which was a nice touch. Overall, great location , attentive service, rooms can do with a bit of refreshing but would definitely stay either here or at the Highline Standard again.

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel has an excellent location with easy access to the city center. It was clean; however, the facilities were limited. The elevator was not very convenient, and the service—especially for breakfast and hospitality—was quite weak. In addition, basic amenities such as cleaning supplies, slippers, and proper bathroom equipment were missing.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: Good, large TV.
Hygiene: As clean as ever.
Service: Quick check-in.
Location: Very close to the subway and train stations, and getting to the airport isn't too much hassle. Highly recommended for getting around New York!
KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there, and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-) either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!
SShuozoujiuzoudekaiwenThis hotel boasts a great location with easy access to transportation, and the shuttle service to LaGuardia Airport is a definite plus. My overall experience was fantastic. Firstly, the front desk staff were incredibly professional and welcoming, making check-in a breeze and instantly putting me at ease. The room itself was spacious and well-arranged, with a perfectly soft and comfortable bed. The cleanliness was impeccable, with attention to detail evident – no strange odors or dust anywhere. Restaurants, shops, and public transportation were all easily accessible nearby. My only minor suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of breakfast options, but overall, it's excellent value for money and highly recommended. I would definitely consider staying here again.
CcolaffeeThe room was incredibly tiny, and the facilities were far from satisfactory. The front desk staff was even worse. When I had a nosebleed in the morning, they showed no concern whatsoever. In fact, when I asked about the deposit, their attitude became even more hostile. All things considered, this has to be the most outrageous hotel I've ever stayed in.
KKyle TanIt was seamless, from check-in to check-out. I was able to request for late check-out. Upon check-out I left my luggage so I could still roam around. Got my luggage back safe. Breakfast is okay. Not grand. But I was able to eat everything. I normally couldn’t eat breakfast from cheap priced bookings cause it’s normally bad, but here, I was able to make use of it.
GGuest UserThe location is absolutely fantastic, just perfect!!! It's a 1-minute walk to Grand Central Station and the subway, about a 3-minute walk to Summit One Vanderbilt, around an 8-minute walk to the Public Library, within a 10-15 minute walk to the UN, and about a 15-minute walk to the Empire State Building. Times Square is also within a 15-20 minute walk. All other tourist attractions are easily accessible via the subway at Grand Central. The hotel's price is incredibly, incredibly reasonable, and the location offers amazing value for money!!! The room itself is also spacious!!! Overall, the experience was superb, highly recommended!!!
AAnonymous UserThe room was incredibly spacious, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's super close to 5th Avenue and Times Square, just a quick walk away. There's a supermarket nearby and tons of restaurants, which is really convenient. The room service was also great, very diligent and excellent!
GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and we even got free bar vouchers. It was super convenient to get to MOMA, Central Park, and Times Square, with a subway station right outside the door.
GGuest UserStart with the bad
Room was really cold even with the heater on full blast . There was a balcony and the balcony door was quite loose and draughty, the windows were not double glaze and you could hear a lot of the sirens and going on’s outside . The room was very dated but clean . No remote for the tv. Not many plug sockets and some did not look safe . The main door had a dent in the front and didn’t feel very secure . We had 2 double beds and they were quite springy .
The good
Staff at reception were really friendly, the bell boys were really attentive . Breakfast was included in my price and it was just a drink weather it be hot drink , a pastry and a piece of fruit . I enjoyed. Plenty of lifts to the rooms. The room was spacious and plenty of room. Plenty of towels and the maid came in every day and replenished. The location was great and it was in the quieter area of Times Square. The shower was good and there was also a bath. For the price we paid though was really good location and base. 30 mins walk to Maddison square garden . 10 mins to Central Park . 10 mins to rockerfella.
