Hotels near Rustem Pasa Mosque, Istanbul

Conveniently located with plenty of cafes and shops nearby. Sultanahmet Square and the Egyptian Bazaar are also close. It's a leisurely 5-minute walk to the tram stop. The place is clean and warm, with daily cleaning service. The managers at the front desk are polite, attentive, and quick to respond to requests. They also speak good Russian. No complaints, I'd happily recommend it.

I booked this hotel based on other reviews. After staying at the hotel we were rather disappointed! So I will be honest no detailed. Firstly the state of the bathroom was poor , mould and bloated vanity unit. The toilet seat was broken.Shower area mouldy see pics. An unmarked dispenser of either shower gel or shampoo, cheap and poor. No other toiletries supplied other than cheap commercial soap. There is no kettle or tea/coffee provided in rooms nor is any bottled water supplied. The room was quite musty and aircon output was mediocre. Simply put room was poor but the location was fantastic , 10 mins walk away from the Blue mosque and about 15-18mins to Topkapi palace. Breakfast was hot and miss no eggs or cereal on first day nor was any fruit provided. Breakfast menu is poor and inconsistent, mainly catered around turkish pallette , you'd think they'd cater a bit better considering virtually all guests were foreign. The front desk reception folk were good especially Fatima, whom with we had good banter, and she recommended some places to visit. Overall don't expect much other than a worn bed and shower at this hotel and enjoy the sites all within walking distance. Would I stay here again , NO will look elsewhere. Owner really needs to focus on bringing the standard up and possibly charging more ,which would have meant repeat custom from me, definitely not a three star however that's based on a Turkish scale. Oh and the lift says 4 persons but only three sticklebacks allowed. The roof top terrace is cafeteria, separate, but you feel compelled to purchase as the staff approach you. The location was the only saving grace and all the cute friendly cats roaming around everywhere.

Good value for money. We had a bit of trouble finding it at first as we weren't familiar with the area, but it's very close to the Blue Mosque and the ferry terminal. The hotel's cleanliness and rooms are both good. The front desk staff can communicate in English and are very friendly. You can store your luggage there in advance, and if you need more water in your room, you can ask the front desk to send some up for free. The hotel breakfast is also good with a decent variety; the waffles are delicious and not too sweet.

Perfect location for everything we walked everywhere as the main attractions and bazaars were within 5 mins walking. Left was Hagia Sofia. Palace etc, right were bazaars...straight down was the sea. The hotel was lovely, and breakfast had everything I liked and more. The view from the top was amazing; you could see all across Istanbul. Our room was very clean, and we even had soothing music in the bathroom, which was a really nice touch. I gave 4 stars for amenities because although the hotel has a spa, I was really hoping for a hammam experience and unfortunately it was mixed. If they offered an hour or even part of the day for ladies only, this hotel would be an absolute winner. One small downside was that our taxi couldn’t drop us off or pick us up directly outside the hotel, so we had to walk about 3 minutes. That said, the area felt very safe we walked out at 10pm as two women and felt completely comfortable. There’s even a police station right opposite the hotel! Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely recommend it.

The location is a bit out of the way, not near the bustling Hagia Sophia or Istiklal Avenue. The main issue was that we arrived at 3 AM. During check-in, we confirmed with the front desk that we needed a smoking room. However, after the lobby boy led us to the room, he told us smoking wasn't allowed. We had to call the front desk again to clarify, wasting another 15 minutes in back-and-forth communication. Ultimately, we had to compromise and switch rooms. Plus, my parents' room wasn't even on the same floor as mine. However, I'm very grateful for the bellhop's help and detailed explanations. It's a shame we arrived at the airport too late that day and didn't have cash for a tip.

Honestly, I expected more. And if not for certain circumstances, I would have considered my stay at this hotel a big mistake. On the plus side: AMAZING location, practically around the corner from the Blue Mosque. Mehmet at the reception – a true sweetheart, an incredibly kind and helpful person who resolved everything with a smile at the drop of a hat. And I'm not a demanding traveler, but it was just a pleasure to even approach him. The view from the dining room and the seagulls – another highlight. The lovely old lady working in the kitchen was wonderful. The bed was comfortable, I slept easily and well. The room was new and modern. Now for the negatives: The first and biggest negative – the other Turkish guy at the reception. He did everything with sighs and groans, even though the problem was clear. Secondly – COCKROACHES. The first night I was hunting a mosquito, which left a bloody mint-sized mark on my nail, and on the second night, its place was taken by cockroaches, the German kind. I killed one at 2 AM and went to bed. I asked to be moved in the morning, and that Turkish guy gave me such a hard time before he finally did it. He did it in a half-hearted way: first, the hairdryer didn't work, so I went to sort it out again, and he came with me with a suffering face. He fixed it in about 20 minutes. Then, no towels, then no slippers, then other small things… When I checked out, he didn't even say goodbye. Another personal negative for me, though not a problem for most – I don't like mirrors opposite the bed. In the previous room, it was directly opposite my face if I slept on my side; in the second room, it was in the middle. But that's just a nitpick. Anyway, draw your own conclusions.

The room was cozy and very beautiful, and the mattress was excellent. They also accommodated the children well. Breakfast was definitely 5-star; the food, coffee, and desserts were all top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive—very professional overall 👍👏 They even congratulated me on my birthday 🥳, decorated the room, and gave me a cake and fruit, which was a lovely touch! It’s a 15-minute walk from Hagia Sophia and 5 minutes from the Bosphorus—a fantastic location indeed 👍👏🫶🏻 I recommend it 💯!

Excellent service, very polite staff. There's a Russian-speaking receptionist, and everyone speaks English. Our room was small, but it had everything we needed: a closet, TV, refrigerator, and toiletries (no toothbrushes or toothpaste). There's only one iron for the entire hotel, but it's more than sufficient. The hotel is very close to the city center (7 minutes and you're at Sultanahmet Square or the Grand Bazaar). It's located on a street lined with shops and cafes, yet it's completely quiet. Excellent value for money, I recommend it!

Its a best budget hotel around Sultanmet area walkable distance to major tourist attractions. Conveniently located in the proximity of public transport. Delicious breakfast option available. Friendly staff and are so welcoming. Azat , one of the staff member who is very friendly and upgraded our room for free. Will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a budget stay in Istambul prime area

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Their excellent customer service made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
