"The room was very clean and comfortable, perfect for two people. There are many supermarkets outside, and the park across the street is also very nice. Overall, I like it very much. I will definitely book again next time."
"I recently spent five nights at VE Hotels in Ankara, visiting from England and not speaking any Turkish, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean, with a stylish and welcoming reception area that immediately sets the tone. My room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable throughout my stay.
The location is wonderfully central, making it easy to get around the city even as a non‑Turkish speaker. Breakfast was another highlight — healthy, fresh, and with plenty of variety each morning.
The staff were kind, patient, and always willing to help, which made my stay even smoother. I would happily return and highly recommend VE Hotels to anyone visiting Ankara."
"The room includes a small terrace. There are some European-style mirror decorations. The surrounding facilities are convenient. The service staff is warm and polite. The room is quiet and comfortable to sleep."
"I had a pleasant stay at Çankaya Suit Hotel during my trip to Ankara. The location is peaceful and convenient, with shops and cafes nearby, and it’s easy to reach the rest of the city.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — perfect for a short stay. The hotel felt safe and quiet, which was ideal for relaxing after a busy day out.
There was a bit of a language barrier, as some of the staff didn’t speak much English, but they were still polite and tried their best to assist.
Overall, it’s a good value-for-money option in a nice area of Ankara. I’d definitely consider staying again!"
"there was nobody to talk in English and the reception actually do nothing because they don't understand English.
there was no internet in the room and also bad connection in the lobby ."
"We were very pleased with our stay at the Grand Silay Hotel.
The hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-10-minute walk from Kızılay.
The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was quite good.
We were pleased with the regular daily cleaning.
The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
For a 3-star hotel, the service quality far exceeded our expectations.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and very attentive to guests.
When we opened the window in our room, there was a slight humming noise from outside, but with the window closed, we had no problems.
I think they would have helped us immediately if we had asked to change rooms, but it was entirely our choice to open the balcony door and not use the air conditioning.
For the price-performance ratio, I can definitely recommend this hotel, and it will be our choice again when we return to Ankara."
"Location is super, in the city center. Near to restaurants, cafes, shops and big mosque. Place is comfortable and well planned. Usually the owner himself is in reception. He is very nice and helpful. He provided the towel for free, explained everything and said to call him if need any help. Bed is comfortable, bathroom is clean. Totally recommend!"
"The hotel's location is great, making it convenient to visit various attractions in Ankara. There are also plenty of supermarkets and eateries nearby. The hotel facilities are just average, as it's an older property, and the rooms aren't very spacious. It's worth noting that the hotel only rebranded to Mercure in 2024, so if you search on maps, it might still show the old hotel name."

Amazing
GGuest UserOverall, the hotel was decent. The room was clean and parking was convenient, but the EV charging station was incredibly hard to find. I looked for ages and still couldn't locate it.
GGuest UserThe hotel amenities and staff were quite good. The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant area was pleasant. I particularly liked the bed and especially the pillows. I do think the cleaning staff could be a bit more organized and meticulous. The hotel's location is very good. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay. I would consider staying at this hotel again on my next visit to Ankara.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is good with a supermarket and a mini market and the Metro within easy walking distance. There’s also plenty of eateries close by There’s Also a cute cafe downstairs! Another PLUS point is the receptionists speak excellent English and Can help you with calling a Taxi etc. I love the fact there is a kitchen and a washing machine in this spacious unit.
Minus points are - the Shower stall does not drain well at all and When you take a Shower the next day thw floor is slimy. We were there four days and they only made the bed and cleaned the room every 2 days altho they did give fresh towels and cleaned out the trash. The kitchen has pots and pans and crockery but but its not complete. For intance there is bread knife but no knives, no bowls or colanders for washing your raw Ingredients etc
Overall the stay was OK . I would give it a 7 out of 10
MM500897****Free coffee and orange juice, available from morning till night, which is great. It's quite clean, and staying on the first floor was fine. I didn't get to eat there because breakfast costs extra. The location is also convenient, with many restaurants nearby.
GGuest UserEverything is perfect for a one night stop over in Ankara. The parking is very tight, but the parking staff were very helpful.
Overall, we are very happy.
KKhurram DurraniThe stay at hotel was the worst one for me. The staff, location and other things were all good. But at evening I told them that the room is very hot and I have had headache and now due to excess hot room my blood pressure is also shooting up. But, instead they told me to open the window. Later i told him that the outside road is main road and very noisy and we couldn't rest or sleep. They neither open the AC because they said that they were still in winter mode and they couldn't open the AC or change the room and/or provide a small floor or table portable fan to that we could sleep comfortably. They didn't do anything and we spend a most miserable night without and rest and sleep. And their breakfast was also pretty basic. Nothing extra ordinary or special. Just very basic.
Seriously, please do not recommend this hotel at least in April-May and in months when weather is changing whereas they only update thermostat after severe change in weather outside.
thanks
regards
Khurram
MMesutBreakfast is okay, although not varied but it tastes well. Unfortunately had a room in -1 floor. This smells to smoke cigarettes, although it should be a smoke-free room. Air conditioning has not worked well or has not brought fresh air in. Location is very optimal to get into the center quickly.
ZZMikhailThis is an old place that used to be decent back in the days (or at least I think it was). Location is okay, there are few good restaurants and stores if you want to buy something to eat/drink.
About negatives:
1) Wrong photos for rooms - you book one room and expecting certain features present, but in reality they show photos of deluxe room on every option. So if you want to have for example a table and chair to work, you have to pay more for upgrade. I do not know if it is intentional or not.
2) Breakfast. It is not great and price is misleading - page shows 1 euro per breakfast, yet in reality hotel requests 8-9 euro (why not just state the correct price from the start I have no idea)
3) Sanitation. I got bitten by ticks or fleas in 2 rooms!! and got serious allergy reaction later (this is statement from my doctor, with which I was forced to make an appointment)
I had to leave hotel for another option, granted they refunded the rest of unused days of my stay. I think hotel should organize general disinfection and pesticide as it is unacceptable when your guests suffer like this.
