"The reviews giving this place give stars as their favorite place are a bit overzealous. The views are definitely spectacular but the deficits aren't lacking. The pros do not justify this hotel; simply that ko lanta is a great destination. Keep in mind: there is no lotion nor conditioner here: curly hair, especially type 4, will suffer. The is no washcloth, phone in the rooms, nor hot tub. Wifi is guarded more than the nuclear football, rooms are certainly worn, there are no USB outlets. For couples: there are definitely young kids here who will never remember the trip, so you may hear crying during breakfast or when trying to get a massage. The maids are neglectful at replacing room amenities, the safe is broken and this place is not vegan friendly. They served me egg in the first dish ordered after recommending I simply let their restaurant know. I did not get the impression that they really understand how to handle dietary needs. The restaurant is awfully overpriced and the food is okay if you even trust the restaurant. Breakfast I stuck to fruit only... I had to go into town for food; Drunken Sailor tasted amazing. Staff friendliness could use improvement. They could at least try to hide their disdain for tourists better. This is expressed with body language and also verbally as we were told false information more than once, when greetings don't even preface with a hello and when staff prioritize chatting with each other rather than assisting a guest. When I asked for Sfiff's name, since nobody wears name badges nor introduces themselves.. to properly greet her. She acted like I was asking for her first born son! They conveniently don't mention that due to Ramadan, there's closed shops and you have to rent a bike to reach the nearest one. That would have saved an hour of time. If you opt in to the hotel taxi service, it will take 3 hours to reach the hotel at 3,000 baht one way. No food or water after a long flight and travel were provided, so please get it from the airport. Google ”Mun Lanta” taxi for 2200 baht taxi via Whatsapp, where they also provide food and water. Furthermore, the system to rent a motorbike is convoluted as you will incur late fees if not returned in time. Why not simply charge for the actual time instead of playing games with late fees and guesstimating return time? This hotel is far overpriced. Get something for half the price, rent a motorbike in town to access better restaurants and the same street. That's my STRONG recommendation."

"Charming place right on a beautiful clean beach that is not crowded and swimmable. The staff are lovely (thanks, Sue!) food surprisingly good (fish BBQ!) and you can get scooters right at the place. We actually checked in to the more luxury option on this beach and then moved here instead because it felt way more friendly. Don’t come here if you want to party, it’s at the far south of all the beaches and over some huge hills to the next gathering of shops (although there is laundry and a few restaurants and a basic shop nearby). And don’t expect satin sheets or huge rooms, it is what it is and that’s a bit rustic. But for what it is, and the price, you can’t do better."

"We had a wonderful time at the Alama Resort. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved the pool area the most; we spent several hours there every day, always found a spot, and the water was very clean. The food and drinks were also delicious. Our room was cleaned daily, the air conditioning worked well, and our balcony was very cozy, surrounded by greenery. The location was great, with the beach just a few minutes' walk away, where we watched the sunset every evening. We would always recommend it and would love to come back!"

"I had an amazing stay at the brand-new Phumala Lanta Seaview Resort! The bungalows are unique, built on stilts amidst lush greenery, with a magical view over the treetops and the coast. Staying here feels like being in a small fairytale, with comfortable beds, modern air conditioning, and a lovely terrace featuring both a bathtub and sun loungers. Between the bungalows, charming lighting in the trees creates a special and cozy atmosphere in the evenings. If any challenges arise, the staff and owner are incredibly attentive and resolve everything quickly and efficiently. The service is truly top-notch! The resort is just a 5-7 minute walk from a beautiful and peaceful beach, and shops and restaurants are also nearby. Across the road, Pad Thai Rock n Roll serves absolutely amazing food, and their staff is incredibly friendly – a must-visit during your stay. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it from four to nine nights. Note that the hotel shares its reception with Bakantiang Resort, so make sure to mention this to your taxi driver to find the correct location. Highly recommended!"

"One of the best hostel i have been to, good location , team is helpful, very clean and the beds are super comfy. I loved how private are the beds , the lockers are big. And it s very beautiful , with a calm dog and cat coming , it’s very calm at night ! The bathroom is perfect , maybe one more thing for cloth in the shower , but it’s a detail :) There is a cosy outdoor area to rest or work. I completely recommend !! And would love to pass by again !"

"Современный новый отель,состоит из основного здания,где расположены 4 номера и ресепшен,и 6 домиков,в некоторых есть кухня. Мы жили в номере.Хочется отметить что всё,начиная с дизайна ,очень красивое и уютное .Кровать в номере удобная,телевизор современный.При заезде в номере есть комплимент,соки,печенье и чипсы.Хозяева приветливые и доброжелательные.Есть аренда мотобайка и услуги такси.Сам отель находится в 2км от моря,в живописном месте около горной речки.Обязательно еще приедем!"

"The staff is excellent. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The outside of the resort is stunning with its beautiful pool. This hotel is great value for money, though the breakfast could be cheaper. We will definitely come back, we loved it !"

"I really like the style of the hotel and it blends perfectly with the surrounding environment, similar to some domestic homestays. The facilities are a little bit old, but they have everything they should. The rooms are large and the balcony with sea view is very awkward. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but it is completely delicious. The semi-open restaurant and garden perfectly blend with the sea view, bringing a good dining mood, which is enough to offset the shortcomings of fewer varieties. The flame dance at the bar on the side is also a highlight, making the night more exciting. The only thing that is not tolerable is the problem of bath water. The water flow is often very small. When I came back from the beach and stood under the shower head. When the dripping water could not clean the sand on my body, my heart collapsed. I stood and waited for a few minutes. It took ten minutes for the water flow to return to normal levels to finish the bath. The sea and beaches of Kantian Bay are not as good as expected. I think the comments in the comments are a bit too much. After all, Thailand has many more beautiful beaches than here. In general, it is a wonderful experience for people like me who love to lie on the balcony or garden and enjoy leisure time."
