Amazing
GGuest UserThe room amazed me the second the manager, Wind, who is the younger brother of the proprietor, Mr. Sunny, opened its door to me. With a refreshing Thai scent spreading from within, the room whose original two single beds had been combined into a big one for a solo traveler under my presumptuous request totally captivated me. It had a nice patio where I could put my feet up after a hot day out to the beach in the broiling sun. Wind also recommended me to go to what he considered as a must try restaurant and bar. He got me a scooter to which I only had to pay half overdue price on the last day because I forgot the time and couldn’t make it from the farthest beach, Bamboo Beach, on the island. His assistant, Shu, was shy and nice. One day I mistakenly bought two eggs that were light boiled, if not raw. She, without a second thought, helped me save my breakfast protein source. The proprietress, Ms. Ning, got me some pizza and bread she and her husband seemingly practiced making in the bistro kitchen next door. I would definitely book a room with breakfast next time if they planned to reopen after the Covid outbreak. In short, the hotel, just like its name, truly made feel at home; the owner and the staff, including the cat, Member, were terribly good and generous people. I will be terribly missing them. Of course I will go back to Koh Lanta in the future, and of course,Lanta at Home will be my one and only choice. PS. See you soon, Wind. Nice talking to you. You are a fun soul. Say hi to Shu and Mr. Sunny and Ms. Ning and the children. Alex

JJanUpon arrival at Lanta Triple Novel, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. His hospitality truly made us feel at home, assisting us with everything we needed. We stayed in the bungalows, which were spacious and well-equipped. There was a clothes drying rack inside and another on the porch—this was the first hotel where we had ample space to dry our clothes. The porch was furnished with plastic chairs and a table, perfect for relaxing outdoors. The bungalow featured a small kitchenette accessible from the porch through a side door, which is convenient if you're planning a longer stay. Inside, there was a small plastic wardrobe for storing clothes and a mini-fridge. The only thing missing was a table and two chairs inside the room, which would have added to the comfort. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room cool. The location was very quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. The only minor inconvenience was during heavy rain when the metal roof became quite loud. We rented a scooter from the owner at a decent price, making it easy to explore the island. Although there's a restaurant as part of the hotel, we didn't have the time to dine there. Originally, we planned to stay for three days but ended up extending our stay to four because we enjoyed it so much. The location is perfect—it's close to the beach, and there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner where you can get everything you need for your stay. It's a 4-minute drive to Saladan Pier, so you'll have an easy time catching ferries or speedboats for further travel. Overall, our experience at Lanta Triple Novel was excellent. The friendly owner, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made our stay memorable. PPedro Jose Hernandez ZarzosaWhat an incredible place! We’re staying at the Twin Lotus Resort & Spa (adults-only during this season) on Koh Lanta, and we couldn’t be happier. The location is fantastic: it’s right on Klong Dao Beach, a super long stretch of beautiful white sand. Even at low tide, it’s all soft sand—no rocks or coral to worry about. In the mornings, it’s pure bliss to walk for miles along the shoreline with the calm sea and peaceful atmosphere. Absolutely lovely. The resort itself is spectacular. Surrounded by tall palm trees and lush tropical gardens, it feels like a real oasis of calm. No kids around (strictly adults only), so you can truly breathe in the peace and tranquility—perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. The infinity pool is stunning, positioned right in front of the beach with comfy sun loungers and high-quality towels. You can spend the whole day switching between the pool, the sea, and a shady spot under the palms… heaven! The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive—always smiling, super helpful, and the service is top-notch. Breakfast is excellent with a great variety and everything tastes delicious. In general, the food at the resort restaurants is really good, both in quality and presentation. Honestly, it’s rated as 4 stars, but in terms of experience, it outshines many 5-star places we’ve stayed at before. I have no idea why it doesn’t have 5 stars officially—it’s spotless, beautifully maintained, and the overall vibe is just perfect. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing spot on Koh Lanta, don’t hesitate—come to Twin Lotus Resort & Spa. You won’t regret it for a second. Highly, highly recommended! 🌴🏖️✨ 5/5 stars, no question.

GGuest UserLanta Sands was disappointing. The welcome was peremptory, as if the person had done it a thousand times before. The service wasn’t awful but much less professional than other resorts we’d visited and the food pretty average though breakfast buffet decent. Beach very crowded. Our room looked out onto the shabby backs of buildings, so we decided to move on after one night instead of staying for the two extra days we’d paid for. Perhaps just not for us. There are better deals than this to be had on Koh Lanta.

CCait :)We absolutely loved our stay at Blue Gecko! Any mentions for improvements below are simply suggestions and is highly recommend anyone to stay here It's in a great location, nearby to high quality local restaurants, a large shop with food, drink, toiletries but still tucked away in its own little world. There are several communal seating areas with communal board games (Azul, cards) and books to use during your stay. The bed was big and comfortable, there was lots of space with two seating areas with tables, one inside our room and one outside. We were only provided with a sheet to sleep, rather than a quilt/duvet which was fine for us but some people might not like that. A choice would have been nice I love the ”eco” feel - toiletries provided are great quality and environmentally friendly, instead of daily plastic single use bottles for water, a glass bottle with a water dispenser at reception is provided. Breakfast is generously portioned and freshly cooked. Some more options for vegans would be nice (my partner just had toast and jam everyday) such as tofu scramble, peanut butter or non-dairy yoghurt. The coffee served at breakfast is delicious, unlike most hotels you can pick from cappuccino, latte etc that's made fresh with a proper coffee machine. That was a really nice touch that we enjoyed. The bathroom was nicely decorated and was modern. My only suggestions for improvements would be there are a lot of lights which made it hard to sleep without an eye mask (the sockets emit lights and we couldn't turn the Aircon display off), and the bathroom has a window with no blind/curtain so the bathroom door needed to be closed. Also there are small gaps around the front door meaning we often had small visitors to our room (geckos, millipedes etc). But overall this didn't affect our stay and are very easy fixes. Also a dimmer switch on the very bright bedside lamp would be nice.

IIvan KraljThere are many good things about this hotel: - located close to the Saladan Pier where the boats dock, and just next door to the night market that offers food and shopping - welcoming and helpful staff (the hotel has no elevator, but the receptionist offered himself to carry my bag to the second floor - free use of washing machine on the rooftop, all you need is buy a detergent in the supermarket nearby (5 baht) - small kitchen if you would wish to prepare some food of your own - vivid lobby brightened up by graffiti, with free water and a small library - rooftop terrace with a hammock, with sadly not spectacular view (the roof of the market is quite unappealing - some graffiti artist should cover that too ;)) What could be improved? - big bed is actually two twin beds connected together. Also, they are wrapped in that plastic which you can feel under the sheets :( - I felt the cleanliness of the room could be on a higher level, especially floors and bathroom - no handsoap in the bathroom (I used the shower gel, but even that one was fixed for the wall, so it doesnt get stolen, I guess?) - just two big towels per room (no small towels, or a floor towel) - even when at maximum, water temperature never gets hot or truly warm - the hotel looks a bit run down, and could use some facelifting. There are holes in the floor of the common area, the bathroom seems unfinished, with exposed walls and some ventilation openings plugged with - plastic bags? - i think key deposit of 500 baht is such an unneeded nuisance in these modern times - cant they just charge you if you lose it?

GGuest UserWonderful find. I spent hours trying to find rhe right place and I did. Rim Khao is a lovely little group of bungalows that back into the forest, but are conveniently on the main road and just a 10 minute walk from the beach. This is a brilliant place for a really good price. I spent hours watching the monkeys, ants, lizards, frogs, birds and butterflies that were very present. As I had no transport and only a walking budget, was limited where I went. But there was enough. The beach is beautiful for swimming and sunbathing. There is little shade, but if you walk to the end of the beach, theres a lot more shade there. If tou are happy to scramble the rocks, there is plenty of wildlife there too....fish, a billion crabs and brazen seabirds.there are plenty of restaurants, both local and tourist all just a stones throw away and the walking street is as good as any. The room was very quiet with air con and a fan that were efficient. The hot water was plentiful in the shower and cleaners were operating every day. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and English was really strong which of course is always appreciated , but never expected. The pool is more of a plunge pool, but thats all i personally ever need. You may consider it needs a bit of tlc, but it didnt bother me. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the road could barely be heard.just remember that the call to prayer can be heard almost everywhere. Oh, and a 7/eleven right next door. Amazing, and i hope to go back.

GGuest UserWe traveled as a family with young children and stayed at Chomview Koh Lanta. The room was spacious and big enough to comfortably accommodate four people, which was very convenient for our family. However, there were several issues during our stay. The walkway to the room had no lighting at night, which felt unsafe, especially when traveling with children. We also experienced water shortages, and the room had an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet. The location is quite far from the main road, so transportation is necessary to get around. This may not be convenient for families without their own vehicle. On a positive note, the staff hospitality was good and they were friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel has good room size and kind staff, but improvements are needed in maintenance, lighting, and water supply.
