"What a kind couple! Since we were renting a car the next day, they picked us up right from the airport when we landed. The lovely landlady speaks Chinese; she used to teach English in Tianshui and is so gentle and virtuous. The room was super clean, smelled nice, and was very well-organized. The next day, the owner personally drove us to the car rental place, chatting with us enthusiastically the whole way. They were incredibly warm and welcoming! We felt so lucky to meet them on our first day in the South Island. Highly recommended!!"

"Not too far from the airport, the environment is superb! The lake view room was very comfortable. If the price is right, it's definitely worth staying a night. It was very relaxing. The only thing is that check-in is a bit of a distance from the townhouses, so it's best if you have your own car."

"It looks close to the airport, but even taking the number 8 bus still requires about a 30-minute walk, especially since there are so many cars on the main roads, it's quite inconvenient and gives you goosebumps. Advantages: It's close to the car rental company, but once you get there, you'll realize how terrible the route is. It's very unsafe, requiring you to cross many roads without traffic lights. New Zealand drivers are noticeably less courteous than Australian drivers, so be extremely careful. As for the environment and hygiene, I won't go into details. In the overnight hotel, you have to run outside to use the restroom. But considering the price, you'll have to put up with it."

"The Redwood Hotel was in a perfect location for me in Christchurch. I was here for personal reasons in that part of town (not siteseeing). The Reception team were very accommodating to my late arrival & communicated clearly about the lock box & room number. Even had a backup scenario on the chance that I didn’t receive their earlier email. Thank you. They also left a light and heater on in the room to make it more comfortable when I arrived. I was able park right outside my unit (free) and managed to get a takeout meal in the attached restaurant 20 mins before the it closed for the night. Very tasty & generous portions."

"2 large and 1 small, very suitable motel, small bed in the living room. "The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. It's centrally located with convenient parking. The owner, an elderly Kiwi gentleman, was incredibly kind and welcoming. The only minor drawback was the lack of an electric blanket."
