"The location is excellent. Following the hotel's directions, it's only a 10-minute walk, a route you won't find on Google Maps. There's a large supermarket and several restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The bathroom in my room type didn't have an exhaust fan, so there was a constant damp smell. The common area is spacious, and the kitchen is well-equipped, but I strongly recommend bringing your own cutlery for hygiene reasons. The public cutlery is washed by guests themselves, and on the day I was there, several dirty dishes were left in the sink, and some tabletops weren't wiped clean after use, making the kitchen look untidy. Overall, it's a good place for a short stay, especially if you're catching a flight."

"The location is super strategic and convenient, just a few walking steps to airport, bus station to Christchurch city and place to pick up & drop off our car rental. Their receptionists are very polite and always put a big smile when we approached them. We arrived the hotel in the earlier morning and went for city walk before check in. They helped us put all our luggages inside our room before we back and a little “kiwi” soft toy was surprised for my little kid. Highly recommend!!!"

"Having stayed in so many hotels across the South Island, this was the first time I felt like I was back in a hotel in China. The plump manager at the front desk personally escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage – truly welcoming and enthusiastic. It's only after coming to New Zealand that you realize how much Chinese hotels pamper their guests, treating them like gods: 24-hour front desks, check-out times at 12 PM or even 2 PM, and amenities like disposable slippers readily available. They also don't rigidly charge an extra $30 per child like in New Zealand. Many hotels here simply don't have a concept of service; everything is pretty much self-service. This Sudima is one of the few hotels that can truly compare to those in China!"

The hotel is only about ten minutes drive from the Chinese supermarket Sanshang Supermarket. There are many Chinese restaurants near the supermarket."

"Airport shuttle [round trip]: I called the hotel for a pick-up from the airport, and they picked me up right at Gate 1. If you're not sure where Gate 1 is, you can ask the airport staff. In the morning, you just wait at the front desk to be taken to the airport to pick up your rental car. "The hotel is close to the airport and is on the main road to Tekapo. The owner is Chinese. My plane is in the middle of the night. It is almost two o'clock to arrive at the hotel. The boss has opened the heating in the room and it is very warm in the room. Because of the late arrival, I contacted the password of the room key box in advance, but I didn’t think that the New Zealand hotel used a very old password box. After a long time, I didn’t open it. The boss heard the movement and helped open it. Hotel facilities are ok."

"We arrived late at night on our first day, and after collecting our luggage, I called, and they responded very quickly. Within a minute or two of us finding Gate 2, the car arrived. Since it was so late, the driver even handled the check-in process for us, which was incredibly convenient. The next day, we had arranged to pick up our rental car and asked if they could drop us directly at the car rental company (I had originally booked a service where the rental company would pick us up from the airport). We booked a one-bedroom suite, and while it looked a bit basic, it was very spacious and clean, so that was perfectly fine. _The hotel's restaurant was also good; we had one breakfast and one dinner there. Highly recommend for transit travelers."
