"My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!"

"You can check in at Achilles Motel reception next door. There is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage you have to carry it on your own if you get assigned on the second floor. Each of the room have its own parking space. Basic kitchen equipment with utensils for a light and easy meal. Overall happy for the price and bring some bath bombs if you like soaking in a hot tub."

"The Motel is great! It’s my second stay. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Motel is on a busy corner so there is road noise. However it didn’t stop me from sleeping well, and it’s close to the centre of the city."

"I stayed here alone. At first, I considered a dormitory, but I think a private room is better if you're a woman traveling solo. This place offers great value for money. It's definitely small, but having a fridge, hairdryer, and a private shower and toilet in the room was incredibly convenient. The only downside was a small gap between the door and the hallway, which let in quite a bit of noise. There was no microwave. The showerhead was fixed, and the water pressure wasn't super strong, but the hot water flowed consistently. The provided shampoo made my hair quite squeaky, so if that's a concern, you should bring your own. The hotel staff were also very pleasant. There was a gym available, so I could get a workout in. It's a hotel I'd definitely want to stay at again!"

"The room is on the 2nd floor. We booked a twin bed, one large and one small, as well as a dining table, chairs and sofas, and the space is relatively large. The kitchen is fully furnished. We made a simple dinner. The garbage classification requirements are very clear. It is very convenient to directly post pictures and text on the wall. The elders at the front desk were very enthusiastic and reminded us of the parking precautions in Christchurch. Personally feel that it is cost-effective in a motel."

"The hotel's location is decent, and check-in was smooth. It's about 10 kilometers from the airport, a taxi costs around 60 NZD, but you can also take bus 29 for 4 NZD per person, and it seems like you only pay once a day, just tap your card. The hotel's cleanliness was average, but the room was quite spacious and very quiet. The facilities were complete, and there's no elevator, so it was a good thing I chose a ground floor room, otherwise, carrying luggage would have been awkward. Dining, attractions, and shopping are all convenient nearby, and it's only about a 20-minute walk to Aotea Square."

"Great location, ambiance, and service. I accidentally booked the wrong month, but the front desk quickly helped me change the dates – very efficient service! You need to book parking early, but there's usually street parking available if you don't. Breakfast is just average."

"Great Stay Clean and Convenient! I had a great experience staying at this motel. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything felt well-maintained. Parking was easy and right outside, which made things very convenient. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free stay I’d definitely come back!"

"The room is big enough, there is no public kitchen and bathroom, it is clean and sanitary overall, there is an aunt to clean every day! It is not noisy and the sleeping environment is good at night!"

"Every single front desk staff member was lovely! ^_^ You'll need a credit card deposit or NZD 100 cash deposit at check-in (remember to retrieve it at check-out). A heads-up: the standard suite I booked doesn't have air conditioning. If you get hot easily, you'll need to book a deluxe room for AC. However, no worries in winter, as there are plenty of heaters, and the room was very warm. If you do get hot, you can ask the front desk for an electric fan, or simply enjoy the breeze on the balcony – that was enough for me. There's a kitchen with pots, pans, and all the cooking utensils you'd need. It's a two-bedroom suite (no windows in the bedrooms), with one bathroom accessible from both sides (and lockable) shared between the rooms. The hotel location is also quite convenient; there are supermarkets, restaurants, and shops within a 10-15 minute walk. P.S. There's a family playground nearby with a free zipline, slides, and climbing frames – definitely go check it out, it's great fun! All in all, this place is really good!!"
