"The rooms are this hotel are very nice. The location is perfect. The service levels are very high. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, Monika and Besang in the restaurant, Sita and Binita for the cleaning service, and all the security staff. Overall, our stay here was very good. The breakfast is very good, with a nice variety. If I could suggest some improvements, it would be fresh pastries for breakfast and maybe some alternatives to cows milk such as oat or almond milk. The other thing is, the gym needs a total refresh. I recommend staying here. It is a very good offer overall. Thank you for giving us a pleasant stay."

"★★★★★ I recently stayed at Hotel Barahi Kathmandu for 2 nights and 3 days during my trip to Nepal. To start with the conclusion, this is a hotel I would gladly stay at again. When I evaluate a hotel, I don't judge it solely on luxury or facilities. What matters most to me is how the people working at the hotel interact with their guests. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a very impressive hotel in that regard. From check-in to check-out, every staff member – at the front desk, in the restaurant, and from housekeeping – greeted me with natural smiles. It didn't feel like formal customer service because I was a 'guest,' but rather as if they were treating me as an individual. The hotel's location is also excellent. While it's within walking distance to the Thamel area, upon returning to the hotel, you find a calm space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a very convenient hotel for both sightseeing and staying. I also enjoyed breakfast every day. Beyond the variety of dishes, Nepali cuisine was also offered, which was great for a traveler like me to easily enjoy local flavors. On the other hand, there was noise in my room at night, and there was one day when I couldn't get enough rest. This was disappointing. However, what impressed me even more was the hotel staff's response afterward. They listened carefully to my concerns and addressed each issue without downplaying it. Their attitude conveyed a strong desire to 'improve the guest's stay.' During my travels, I pay close attention not only to the hotel's facilities but also to the people working there. No matter how grand the building, if the people aren't good, I wouldn't want to stay at that hotel again. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a hotel where I felt human warmth. Of course, there are always areas for improvement. But this hotel has an attitude of being willing to address those areas. That was of great value to me. That's why if I have the opportunity to visit Nepal again, I would choose this hotel once more. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to all the front desk staff, restaurant staff, and housekeeping who kindly assisted me during my stay. "I booked the hotel because I wanted to stay close to Buddha Stupa in Boudhanath and this is by far my best experience in Kathmandu. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the Stupa, but very quiet and private. There is an old monastery inside the hotel, and part of the profit from the hotel goes to support the monks in monastery. Morning yoga session is 8am to 9am led by a monk, but I always slept in so couldn’t make it (my fault!). Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend the puri with potatoes and beans fillings. The hotel manager and staffs are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you all, it’s been a great experience staying Hotel Dolmaling. I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in Nepal!"

"Great hotel near Boudhanath Stupa! It's easy to reach from the airport, and the breakfast is great. The staff are incredibly attentive and always happy to help. A nice bonus—they offer yoga sessions every morning to start the day off right. Also, great views from the higher floors!"

"Why Boudha Boutique Inn doesn't have higher scores on Trip.com is a mystery! This quaint and beautifully appointed inn has everything one would want for a pleasant stay. The bed and bedding are extremely clean and comfortable. The aircon is robust. They provide generous amounts of soap, shampoo and towels. The food is deliciously prepared despite dietary restrictions. There are snacks and drinks available in the room for a modest fee. The staff are kind, accommodating and understand the importance of providing excellent customer service. For example, I needed a printed document at the last minute. The front desk did not hesitate to assist me. I ordered my lunch using WhatsApp 30 minutes before returning to the property and received it shortly after I arrived. All in all, this is one of the better accommodations in Kathmandu. I highly recommend using them."

"I had a wonderful 8-day stay at Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and consistent throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming—perfect for both relaxing and unwinding after a busy day. A very special appreciation goes to the reception team, especially Alon and Shreesha. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, always greeting me with genuine warmth and taking care of any requests promptly and thoughtfully. Their kindness and attention to detail really made my experience stand out. The hospitality here is exceptional, and it’s clear the team genuinely cares about their guests. "The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are quite large too. Breakfast is mainly Western and Indian, and the taste is decent. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, with many tourist attractions within 3km. The ground floor environment is also very good, with a large lawn and a big swimming pool (though I didn't see anyone swimming). The lawn area is lovely. Soundproofing is average, but everything else is good."

"My stay at the Mulberry Hotel in Kathmandu was generally very pleasant, but I have one major complaint I'd like to mention. When we selected the hotel, it was stated that the airport transfer was free, which was one of the reasons we decided to stay there. However, despite having communicated our intention to use this service both when booking and three days before our arrival, we were informed that there was an additional charge for the transfer. Fortunately, we were able to resolve the issue through the website where we made the reservation, but I'm concerned that this information is still available on their site. If the hotel continues to advertise the airport transfer as free, either they're changing it or they're misleading customers, which is unacceptable. Also, to add a humorous twist to the situation: when we checked out of the hotel and took a taxi, it turned out the price was actually half of what we had paid for the hotel service! So if you decide to take a taxi, you can save a few dollars! On the other hand, the hotel facilities are good, and the rooms are fine. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of Western and Indian-style options. The rooftop pool has great potential with beautiful views of the city, although it needs more attention and care due to the dust in the area. Overall, I would recommend the Mulberry Hotel for its good location and breakfast, but I suggest they clarify information about airport transfers to avoid future confusion. And don't hesitate to take a taxi to the airport to save some money!"

"For a traveler who stayed all over the world, I can recommend this hotel. The location is definitely not great, but if you’re pretty hearty you just walk about three blocks and you’re in the main restaurant and shopping area for tourism. The hotel does treat you very kindly and make sure you have what you need. Big comfy room great views and kind service."
