"First time solo travelling and picked this hotel due to its location, look and price. Easy accessible to the train station (only a 20 minute walk) and 20 to 30 minutes to sights i wanted to see. The centre for all your shops and eateries where a 35 minute walk. Bus stops only at the end of the road but I never used them as I was happy to walk everywhere. The room was clean and spacious. Loved the shower especially after a long day walking. Everything was explained to me (Wi-Fi, tv, air-con). Plus a super comfy bed."
"Breakfast is a good appetite. The room is not big, the standard room has 2 small single beds, the mattress is a bit soft and can't stand it, and it can fall off even if it sits sideways. Even if you turn over at night, you are afraid of falling out of the bed. There are not enough hot pots, sometimes you won’t get it. There is a McDonald’s if there is less food around the place"
"A special experience. It is the best hygiene level in recent hotel stays - bed is comfortable and towels are good. Service is very good too. The tour is a highlight of the stay!
The only problem is that our room is under the restaurant so it was noisy during meal time, especially if there were kids running.
Will come back for another stay with different rooms."
"Stay was good and comfortable. Staffs are helpful. Metro station is bit nearby and the hotel is situated in a good location. Recommended for family and solo travelers.

"Great service, friendly staff!
The room was spacious and clean. The location is truly beautiful, with touches of the past still preserved.
We enjoyed the breakfast, which was excellent. Parking is available behind the hotel, which is also well-organized. However, the price of 25 euros per night is a bit steep.
We highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely return."
"The hotel is located near the highway, a spacious room and everything more than clean. Free parking and excellent breakfast (up to 9 a.m. in the week).
Friendly staff!"

"No reception, opening expensively by telephone, was quite easy. Once inside, I was happy that someone was inside and he helped us further. No breakfast. We had a small hotel room. exactly good for us at that moment. Easy to reach with the metro ”Twenty-five”."
"It's a little far from the tram, but it's in a quiet residential area compared to the hotel. Although the room is not big, it has everything it needs. It has all the necessary details and is very clean. However, if the water in the bathroom is turned up a little, it will easily overflow onto the floor outside. That's the only pity. Everything else is good overall."
"The staff is friendly, the room is fine, coffee and tea in the room, good beds, two chairs and a desk.
I had asked if there was room for our bikes to be put in, and I had not received any answer, and there was no way to be put in the bikes at night. We set them out outside the hotel with three locks together, the next morning it was found that our bicycle bags with tools and repair material were opened and the stuff was thrown on the ground. Our experience in other hotels is that there is always a place to find for two bikes who are away next morning, think of a meeting room, storage room or the guest's own room."

Great
GGuest UserIt is more like a smart hostel so not there were not many people helping, but our CityHost Jed was very helpful and helped us with our check-in. The facilities were very clean and complete with everything one would need for a stay, including towels, shampoo and even a bath robe was provided. It was worth the money and would definitely stay there again!
GGuest Usermodern design hotel and room, but TV still cannot use youtube might be the point not good, the room is big ! I really like the room design and the bed is super comfortable!
DDee SparksConveniently located just 15 minutes from both the train station and the main shopping district, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. It stands out as one of the better options in its category, offering comfort and excellent service.
The staff are a true highlight – friendly, attentive, and responsive to all enquiries. A special mention goes to Merle, who went above and beyond to assist us with travel arrangements. Her warm and professional manner made a lasting impression.
One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Guests with dietary restrictions or those who avoid meat and eggs may find the options somewhat limited. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs would enhance the overall experience.
Overall, a highly recommended stay with thoughtful service and a prime location.
GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly. A very clean hotel with beautiful and well-maintained rooms. We hope the championships at Ahoy go ahead next year, because we'll definitely be back then! Many thanks to everyone.
GGuest UserI booked quite last minute so quite an expensive stay but still good value especially taking into account the wide choice and excellent continental breakfast and a free drink as I am an IHG member.
Checking in staff patient and helpful which is always appreciated as an older woman travelling solo!
Well located near the main station in walking distance but also tram stops practically outside the entrance (if your case is heavy as mine was) and you can pay by swiping your debit card on/off as you do now on the tube -just so easy to do.
The shop in reception was well stacked with a good variety of items which were more expensive but you’re paying for the convenience.
The room was great and the air conditioning a real blessing in the heatwave.
I’d definitely stay there again and would happily recommend it to others especially solo travellers. I felt very safe there.
GGuest UserImpeccably clean and spacious room with full kitchen and a comfy bed. Extremely convenient location adjacent to metro station and in the centre. I liked the working space as well and made use of luggage storage without no issues. Frequent fire alarms was the only issue that I would complain of(had 2 in 4 days). Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here if I were to visit Rotterdam again
DDaimingtianThis hotel is a great choice for business trips to Rotterdam. It's centrally located with lots of shops nearby. Both the bathroom and the room itself were quite comfortable. Being so close to the train station means you won't be rushing to catch a train to Amsterdam for your flight!
GGeiorgiestravelsThe location is convenient. I arrived by bicycle and was able to secure my bicycle the the racks in the square in front of the hotel. It is a 10-15 walk to central station, cube house, Oude Haven and other tourist sites. There is shopping precinct and major supermarket 10 min walk away. I went to a concert at de Doelen which was next to central station so easy to get to. I recommend doing to 15 min walk to the waterfront and getting the water taxi from Erasmusbrug as a cheap way to do a river cruise … the water taxi even goes all the way to Kinderdjik , the famous windmill area.
I stayed in the triple female only room. The was one other roommate with whom I had no problems. The room felt spacious. Each bed had its own light and charging point. There were no curtains though the board with the lamp and charging point acted as a privacy shield. Bedding is laid out on the bed and you make the bed yourself. Comfy bed. There were several showers and toilets located in the corridor as well as separate sinks. The shower had hot water …. Is the type you press the button to 30 seconds of water then press again which helps conserve water. Bring your own towel or hire one.
Rooms have keycard access. You need your own padlock for the locker in the room. The locker will not fit a big suitcase though my carryon sized luggage fitted ok. I was on the top floor in an annex type area where it was very quiet. I had no issues with cleanliness though I did notice an empty drinks container in the toilet for a couple of days.
There is a small area near reception with seating and small tables where it is possible to sit and eat your own food. There is a small kitchenette area with one fridge, kettle, microwave ,air fryer and a hot plate. Using the hotplate for foods such as pasta, rice, boiling eggs is permitted but not frying nor cooking smelly foods. It is very helpful to be able to use these resources for quick food prep, though keep in mind that you may need to wait at meal times and utensils are limited. There appeared to be some people living there who had their own cooking utensils.
Like many places in the Netherlands there is a steep staircase to get in, so even though there is a lift to get to the different floors, the first staircase will be a hurdle for those with a large suitcase.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again.
DDua @ LuaWe stayed at Le Marin Boutique Hotel during our trip to Rotterdam. While the hotel is not far from Rotterdam Centraal, first-time visitors should plan their route in advance. We initially followed Apple Maps, which led us on a longer path, but there's actually a more direct route.
The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful environment. It's within walking distance to Chinatown, where you can find various dining and shopping options.
We appreciated the spaciousness of our room, which provided a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. The decor is stylish, with a marine theme and dark tones that add a cozy ambiance.
However, some guests have noted that rooms can feel smaller than expected, and the dark interior may not appeal to everyone. Additionally, sound insulation between rooms could be improved, as footsteps from upstairs can be heard.
The hotel offers a breakfast buffet with a variety of options, though some guests felt it lacked certain basics. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location makes it convenient to explore the city.
Overall, Le Marin Boutique Hotel provides a comfortable stay with a unique atmosphere, suitable for travelers seeking a tranquil environment close to the city's attractions.
GGuest UserThe bed was uncomfortable and too hard, and the lighting wasn't bright enough. Hygiene was okay, but there were no coffee amenities. The location is quite central, and the service was decent. Most facilities were available, so it's basically passable.
