"Light sleepers, beware! This place is a no-go, way too noisy. I could hear every footstep from upstairs, people talking outside, but the worst was the constant slamming of doors. All night long, it was 'BANG!' every single time, loud enough to wake me up even when I'd finally drifted off. Maybe it was because of the holiday crowd, but there were people coming and going non-stop, even past midnight. It only started to quiet down around 1:30 AM, when I could finally get some sleep. Oh, and the air conditioning wasn't cold either. 🥲🥲"

"For our anniversary trip to Penang, I contacted the hotel in advance via email. They arranged anniversary decorations, gifted us a cake, and upgraded our room, which made us feel very cared for and warm. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of George Town, within walking distance to all the nearby attractions. Breakfast was abundant with a wide variety of choices. Upon check-in, we received two 10 MYR vouchers for use within the hotel, which could be combined. We used them for room service, which was very convenient. Choosing The Wembley was the best decision of our Penang trip. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on future visits to Penang and will recommend it to others too."

"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. They offer many complimentary items and services such as free breakfast, iron, washing machines, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair dryer, umbrella, free bicycle rental, and even a shared chiller for guests to use. One extra bonus is that they also provide motorbike rental services, which was very convenient. The free breakfast was surprisingly delicious even though it was complimentary. They also offered both spicy and non-spicy options, so guests can choose according to their preference. Overall, this is a very nice hotel with excellent hospitality and facilities. I would definitely give this hotel 100 marks and highly recommend it to others."

"Rating: 3/5 – Good budget option Perfect location – right next to Kimberley Street’s famous night food stalls. Where the four heavenly king is. A bonus for foodie. Rooms are clean but dated, thin walls, and some have no windows. Staff are fine. Skip the basic breakfast. Great for short stays and on lower budget. Check out the restaurant next door. Recommend. And also within 5 mins walk to shopping mall."

"The hotel is located in the old town, on a small street surrounded by tea houses and durian stalls, which was really convenient for food. Most of the hotel staff were Indian. Our room wasn't cleaned by 3 PM, so we called the front desk and also prompted the cleaners in the hallway. We only needed fresh towels and trash emptied, but it still took an hour and a half for them to come. The service was quite slow."

"Great location, very convenient! Upon check-in, we received a welcome gift basket filled with Penang specialties. It's super close to the top attraction, and there are many massage parlors nearby, so you can head straight back to the hotel after a massage. Getting around with Grab is also easy; the airport is about 35-40 minutes away. The hotel also has WhatsApp for easy communication. Plus, you can use the smart TV to watch YouTube/Netflix! The staff are very friendly, and the pool hours are long, closing at 10 PM, so you can even swim after dinner. However, the hotel's hygiene is quite poor; there were stains on the bed sheets and towels."

"This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I'm giving this place a 10/10 – I'm absolutely delighted with everything. For the price, it's an absolute steal! Resthub is right in the heart of Georgetown, with all the major attractions within walking distance. There's a shopping mall just across the road, and tons of cafes and restaurants nearby. The capsules (rooms) are incredibly clean, with comfortable mattresses and pillows. They provide towels, slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. In the showers, you'll find shampoo, shower gel, soap, and even a hairdryer. All the other guests were considerate and quiet. I felt very safe thanks to the automatic door locks and key card access for the rooms."

"The price is reasonable for the room. It isn't very large, but there is a table for one piece of luggage. There is no wardrobe. There is a fridge, though it doesn't actually get cold. The bathroom is spacious and clean, with good lighting at the vanity mirror. It uses a key-card slot system; the air conditioning stays nice and cool. You can plug in Thai chargers directly without needing an adapter; USB charging ports are also available. There are power outlets on both sides of the bed—two points on each side. Check-in is at 3:00 PM (Malaysia time). Stayed for one night: July 13–14, 2026."

"For my first time, I chose this place. - The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was cool. - All the essentials were provided: microwave, cold and hot water, tea, coffee, and a shared hairdryer at the front. - The bathroom had soap and shampoo. - The Wi-Fi was good. I was quite impressed! The fact that you use a code to enter the room instead of a keycard or physical key is excellent and very modern. - The location is good, making it easy to walk to food options. 7-Eleven and Family Mart are close by and within walking distance."
