This was our second stay, and I truly believe it's the best hotel in the Seomyeon area. The building itself is brand new, so the common areas and guest rooms are incredibly clean and well-maintained. There's another hotel in the same building, but HLB's rooms are on the upper floors, and it seems the elevators and front desk are shared. It's about a 5-minute walk from the station, and there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making access superb. Also, on the first floor, there's a bakery and a 24-hour convenience store, which was incredibly useful for late-night snacks and essentials. The room was very spacious, equipped with a large refrigerator, induction hob, kettle, and washing machine. True to its ”Residence” name, you can really live comfortably and self-sufficiently in the room. The toilet is a bidet type, and flushing toilet paper was not an issue. The power outlets by the bed are universal, so Japanese plugs can be used directly. However, other outlets are SE type, so if you plan to use multiple electronic devices, I recommend bringing a converter plug. While the front desk staff doesn't speak Japanese, they are all fluent in English, so we had no trouble communicating. The shower water pressure was fine, but the drainage in the bathroom was poor, causing water to accumulate easily. Also, I think it would be very helpful if they provided a washing machine guide in Korean and English (and Japanese, if possible) in the room. I would definitely like to stay here again on my next visit to Busan.

Overall, the room is quite economical and includes breakfast. The location is excellent, right next to Busan Station, making it super convenient for getting anywhere. However, check-out is very early at 10:00 AM. Also, they didn't change the slippers for three days. My parents' slippers got wet after showering, and it took a lot of discussion to get even one replacement pair when we asked for two. I'd say it's a very practical choice for budget-conscious travelers.

In-Room Amenities: Powerful hairdryer, a full-sized fridge with a proper freezer compartment, and a versatile microwave/oven combo that makes reheating food easy. Something not suggest this. Fully Digital Access: Check-in and check-out are handled entirely via smartphone. Elevator access requires a dynamic QR code—screenshots are unreliable, and weak cellular signal in the elevator area makes loading the page frustrating. Room lights use touch panels with a slight learning curve. The system is not well-suited for seniors or guests unaccustomed to keyless smartphone access. Housekeeping & Communication: During a multi-night stay, housekeeping missed restocking facial tissues. With no in-room phone (only an online AI chatbot), we had to visit the front desk in person. Staff initially doubted the issue before providing a replacement, which felt unwelcoming. Vague Amenity & Water Policies: Written instructions simply state to collect extra towels and bottled water at the front desk, without explaining quotas or extra charges. We only learned about the water dispenser on the 29th floor (which is not open 24 hours) after asking the AI assistant. Breakfast Schedule: Last entry is 9:30 AM, but cleanup begins around 9:40 AM, quickly limiting food options. Arriving by 9:00 AM at the latest is strongly recommended. Self-service tray return is required. With minimal staff interaction beyond requested housekeeping, this property is best suited for independent guests who prefer autonomous digital check-ins. Those traveling with elderly family members or seeking traditional front-desk hospitality may want to consider other options. 優點：空間很大、環境乾淨、入住舒適、隔音不錯、吹風機很強，有冰箱可冷藏冷凍還有一機多用的微波跟烤箱可以加熱。 住宿體驗感不錯，但如果是不習慣全自助，或是無卡用手機刷門禁的可能不太推薦。 這次入住一些比較差的體驗感想： 感覺不太適合老人家入住 自行辦理入住及退房需透過手機處理 電梯需使用QR code通行， 每次進電梯前都要先重新打開QR code， 截圖的話有時候掃的到，有時候不行。 然後電梯內訊號較差會有點難開，小麻煩。 房間電燈都是觸控式面板 研究了一下才知道怎麼開關 然後是因為連續入住，有申請打掃房間， 結果打掃後房內沒有補充桌上紙巾， 沒有電話可以聯繫前台， 只有看到ai回復的幫手， 室友到前台詢問， 前台說有替換一開始沒有要提供的意思， 提出需求卻先被懷疑的感覺不太好， 雖然紙巾問題有得到解決。 然後紙張說明只寫說需要瓶裝水跟毛巾跟前台領取 並未說明需要額外付費，或是一晚僅提供兩瓶，未在紙面說明。感覺應該是提供給連續入住沒有打掃的房客領取使用，入住並未說明。 需詢問飯店AI助理才知道可以上29F飲水機裝水， 且非24小時可裝水。 然後早餐最後入場時間是9：30 基本上東西都還有，但是大概9：40就開始徹餐，選擇越來越少，建議大家最晚9：00就要到比較好，然後餐盤也是自助回收。 所以服務的部分基本上除了連續入住要申請的打掃服務，基本沒有，所以我無法評價，幾乎都是自助詢問求解。

Location near Haeundae Market, easy transportation, bus stop next to guesthouse, many foods around, near to Haeundae Beach, no elevator, stairs up from the road, I’ve got 3rd floor, receptionist is on the 2nd floor. Free drinking water, microwave, cutlery. The host is very friendly and helpfull.

Small rooms but clean and budget for around 24$ in a very central location from subway station 20 meters and walking distance from several attractions and 2 subway stations from Busan Train station. Also breakfast included bis extraordinary in this price! Limited English speaking reception but doing their best and functional. They also have washing machine for free! Appreciated.

I had a wonderful stay in Busan this time! The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was super convenient, close to attractions and Haeundae Street. The staff were really friendly, making me feel right at home. Next time I'm in Busan, I'll definitely choose this place again. Highly recommend it to my friends!

Im a first timer in busan, saw a travel blog sharing this hotel location and service is great and pricing is afforable. I paid about 150 per night for double room (for 2pax). Encounter quite a few issues but because one of the staff (a young man) his service is the best there and it provide me some comfort. 1) bath towel shortage I was given face towel x2 as a replacement for bath towel. I only know this after i ask on the 2nd day. I also mentioned there were no bottle drinks replaced. So when someone come over and pass me, he told me no more bath towel and gave me 2 x face towel and a semi wet bath towel. Then he wanted to come in and see if i lied about the mineral water. When he open the fridge he saw the drinks (3 bottled) and say there is drink but these were yesterday ones and i asked for 1 only. From what i see, when they come in clean the room, of the room still have water and towel they will not replace or they will replace half? 2) staff being rude There was this guy, probably middle age i encounter him on 4 Apr night time, i went to inform no bath towel on the 1st day. The room only had 1 bath towel and 4x face towel. So counter dont know of the towel shortage. He give me a unhappy face and ask me ”so”, ”what you want”... im speechless and i dont want to spoil my holiday mood. I told him i will comw later to get and he says 1st come 1st serve he dont have so many at the counter. :( 3) no aircon This seems to be a norm for most hotel during cold season. So i had to open rhe balcony door and it was noisy. Anyway i will not come back to this hotel to stay but i must say the location is great. Just beside the traditional market and the stretch has loads of restuarant.

The hotel is located just off Nampo Station, with two CU convenience stores nearby and close to a well-organized street lined with large stores like Converse and ABC Mart. It was very clean and excellent. I booked it for a BTS concert, and the price remained the same as advertised. I really wished I could have stayed longer. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Busan.

Check-in & First Impressions: Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel. Room: I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area. The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value. Amenities & Services: While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it. Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything. Location: This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night. Staff & Hospitality: Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected. Overall Impression: Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.

Check-in is at 5 PM. If you want to check in earlier, you have to pay 10,000 won. I went at 3 PM but couldn't check in without paying the 10,000 won. Check-out is at 11 AM. I tried to check out at the kiosk, but the machine was broken, so I had to go to an office in another building to check out. The service was 'um' (this 'um' is different from the previous one). The window doesn't open.
