"A rather disjointed stay, with the room and restaurant offering completely different experiences. The room was incredibly cramped – I struggled to even open my suitcase. The facilities were quite old, and there was a strange smell on the day I checked in. Luckily, there was an air purifier and cleaning spray. Honestly, it felt like the standard of a budget room costing less than a hundred yuan in China. However, the restaurant on the second floor was fantastic! They offered free coffee all day, and breakfast was very refined. If it weren't for the excellent restaurant on the second floor, I probably would have lost my temper. Thinking back, I just managed to make do with the room for showering and sleeping."

"This hotel, located in the Hakata Station area, offers a shuttle bus service that takes about half an hour to reach the property. However, it's important to note that on weekdays, there are only a few scheduled trips to the hotel. On holidays, the free round-trip shuttle runs all day, approximately once an hour. During my stay, which was on a weekday, only the 10 AM and 11 AM shuttle buses were available for departure; there were no other times, so calling a taxi was more convenient. The hotel offers both Japanese and Western dining options, a simple gym, and a nice public onsen. Since the hotel is situated on a mountain, it's not overly crowded, making for a more comfortable stay. My room this time had a good view, and the lobby has been renovated. However, the room only had a shower stall and no bathtub, which guests should be aware of."

"The Hotel is well located, new and clean. It has a selfservice Check-In. Here i had a huge issue. In the process of checking in the system showed me that i still had to pay 200 yen which is 2 USD. This is the local tax. If i dont pay, i dont get access to my room. Then the System tells me that i can not pay in this process and I should pay at the reception. Hey there is no reception. There was a telephone number. So i called Thema and all i got was a very polite lady but as expected her english capabilities were not good enough to unterstand my issue. Finally i found a Chat. There i showed pictures of my issue and they resolved it remotely. I told Them that the Telephone call was 12 USD and all they offered was a late checkout which i could not use since my flight was at Noon. No refund just nothing. They took 1 hour of my time plus 12 USD because of an issue they created. And if you accept foreign travellers why does your helpdesk not speak propper english?"

"I stayed here for two nights right after landing in Fukuoka, and even as a solo traveler, the room felt incredibly cramped. I quickly switched hotels on the third day. The room was tiny and dated, giving off a vibe reminiscent of a guesthouse from the last century. You basically stepped out of the door and were immediately at the bed. My suitcase could only perch precariously on a folding luggage rack. The cleanliness was mediocre. The bathroom seemed quite clean and looked like it had been thoroughly scrubbed, but the room walls were very dirty with black marks. It wasn't until I opened my suitcase and its wheels rubbed against the wall that I realized where those black marks came from. Even though it was a non-smoking floor, the air in the room wasn't great. After just one night, my tonsils became inflamed. Those with sensitivities should definitely avoid this place. Toiletries and bathrobes were self-service in the lobby downstairs. The small packets of toner and lotion were surprisingly good, and the compressed exfoliating mitt was also quite useful. Drinking water wasn't provided, but there was a self-service laundry room. The hotel's location is pretty good, though. Le Labo is directly across the street, and there are many trendy shops and restaurants nearby. Tenjin shopping district is also within walking distance. It was quite cheap when I booked it, so I won't complain too much. It's suitable for backpackers."

"When I reached the hotel, I was stunned because the lobby was crowded with people enjoying a beer night or social gathering, which is definitely not my kind of activity as an introvert 😮💨. It was difficult to reach the front desk because I had to squeeze through the crowd to get in and out. I wish the hotel had separate entrances with clearer signage, such as a ”party area” and a ”check-in area,” which would be much more helpful. Surprisingly, the lounge area on the 3rd floor was quiet and comfortable, and both the bathroom and bed were clean. I chose this place because I wanted to visit Nakatsukasa Magotaro Inari Shrine (also known as the Cyber Shrine) at night. It's about a 15-minute walk from the hotel, but walking there alone can be a little scary because the road has limited lighting, and visiting a shrine at night always gives off a spooky vibe. I went there at around 9:30 PM. Since it’s not nearby the happening places like Tenjin or Hakata, there’s is no shop opening nearby in the night (except the convenience store), but if you are visiting the Ohori Park I think it’s just about 5 minutes walking."

"The family suite at this hotel really surprised me – it actually had four large beds! It's definitely big enough for a whole family, though it's a shame there's only one bathroom. On the bright side, the toiletries and towels were all provided for four people, which was plenty. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so there aren't many good restaurants or shops nearby. However, it's right by the sea with beautiful views, and you can even see sea eagles soaring in the sky. The room itself is spacious, with two desks, and the internet speed was decent, more than enough for our needs."

"I stayed with my son for 4 days from September 4 to 8, 2026, and I will give you a general comment for your reference. Let me talk about the advantages first: the hotel is a brand new hotel officially opened in 2026-9-1, the location is really excellent, take a taxi at the international airport is only 2,600 yen, the hotel is next to the subway station, opposite the road is the ”Hakata Canal City” shopping mall, many nearby attractions such as: Putian Shrine (next to the shrine is Chuanduan Commercial Street), Riverside Zhongzhou Wutai Night Market and Tenjin Underground Street, etc., all can be walked for a few minutes. Disadvantages: We live in a twin room, the room is only 18 square meters, small is not a problem, the layout of the room is the main problem! As soon as I enter the door of the room (I call it the door closing area), there is a wall space about 1 meter wide on the left, a wash basin, two layers of wooden frames below, bath towels and hair dryers are placed on the rack, and on the right is a toilet grid with only electric toilets. One is a shower room. The problem is the entire door closing area. There is no hook and bracket, and even a mobile phone is not in place! The hotel designed a door, separating the bed room and the door closing area. If you want to shower, you have to close the door. After bathing, you will wear and undress in the door closing area. This time, no one can enter and exit the door! I need to apply my body moisturizing after bathing, and I can only stand in the door closing area and cover the door eyes with wet paper. This is really inconvenient! There are also bath towels and clothes, there is no place or hook at all! There is only a handle outside the shower door available! But you can choose not to bathe in the room, go to the public bathing place of the hotel 2/F, see if you can accept the public to see it! Besides, the hotel cleans the room once every two days. We stayed for 4 nights, that is, only someone entered the room on the third day to clean it. Then the used bath towels can be put there and reused? There is only one trash can in the whole room (there is no toilet). Is there a problem with hygiene once in two days? There is also an unexpected problem. When I opened the hair dryer, I saw the dust flying under the light. Even my son came back from the public bath and asked me to see that he was covered with dust. No wonder we stayed for a few nights and had serious nose sensitivity problems! The last thing is that the hotel staff can only speak Japanese, and the English is not communicated. Only the last day of check-out, we need to call a taxi to the airport, and we see a colleague who can speak Cantonese. To sum up this hotel, personal advice is only suitable for single or intimate partners to stay for 1 to 2 days!"

"A Comfortable Stay at Quintessa Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin Minami ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at Quintessa Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin Minami and had a great experience. The hotel is notably large, modern, and exceptionally clean. What I loved about this hotel: Facilities: It’s very convenient as they offer on-site parking and a bicycle rental service, which is perfect for exploring the Tenjin area. The Room: A huge plus is that every room comes with a bathtub, perfect for soaking and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Space Recommendation: If you prefer more space, I highly recommend booking a Twin Room or larger. While the Single Rooms are a bit compact (as is typical in Japan), they are still better designed and more comfortable than many other hotels I’ve stayed at in the same price range. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Fukuoka. Great location, helpful staff, and top-tier cleanliness!"

"While the location is a bit ambiguous, being between Tenjin and Akasaka, it was very clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. There was a staff member who could speak Korean, and they also sold drinks at the counter (see photo), which were reasonably priced. There are two convenience stores within a 1-2 minute walk, and luggage storage is self-service. Don Quijote, Human Made, Stussy, and other stores are all within about a 10-minute walk. Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall and Parco are also about a 10-minute walk, but you can take a bus or walk if the weather is nice. I went in the summer and nearly died from the heat ㅠㅠ"
