AAnonymous UserThe hotel itself is quite nice, and the service at the reception desk was excellent. The staff in person were polite and genuinely tried to help with anything I needed during my stay.
However, I was very disappointed with the phone service. When I called the hotel and spoke in English, the call was hung up on me. I tried several times and the same thing happened. It did not seem like the staff member on the phone was willing to assist or find a solution. This left a very negative impression.
As this is an “International Hotel,” I expected at least basic English communication or an attempt to assist rather than disconnecting the call. I already informed the hotel about this issue and I sincerely hope they improve their phone service permanently.
Additionally, the hotel is located 10 mins by walk from the city center so you will likely need to take a taxi to travel around.
Overall, the in person service was good but the phone communication experience needs serious improvement.

GGuest UserWas given a room with 2 single beds. When I checked with the reception, they said their level 10 was under renovation and that my booking doesn't give me a choice. This is the first time I was told I don't have a choice to the bed configuration.
Rooms are not sound proof. We could hear voices from next room.
Room is spacious by Japanese standard, and location is good, near to Bandai Pier and fashion shopping. We could walk to the train station in 10 minutes.
Enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserThe exterior is quite worn out. However, when you arrive, check-in is quick and efficient. The lounge has dorayaki, coffee jelly, ice cream and other items that children will enjoy. The room is quite average. They ask that you boil water before drinking. They bring it to you if you ask, but I wish they kept it on hand. Also, the futon is thin. These are the two negative points. The food is not extravagant, but the variety is sufficient and satisfying. The hall is rather bland for a dining area, though. What is particularly noteworthy here are the staff. You can feel that everyone is trying their best to provide the best hospitality possible. They are working very hard.

KKeeeeeeeeeeeIt was a convenient and easy to understand place just across the road station and footbath.
The cleaning was well done and I was able to spend it comfortably.
The food was delicious. Especially the breakfast buffet was good.
I think it is a good hotel in Cospa.
It was good that the large communal bath was large, but I wish it was a hot spring of a more habitual type because the hot spring was tasteless and odorless.

It was an old inn, but it had an open-air bath and was not too bad.
There were three smoking areas, and from the smoking area in front of the large bath we could enjoy a leisurely cigarette while looking out over the garden.

The hotel's location is perfect, just a 6-minute walk from Niigata JR Station. Even with luggage, it's easily accessible, making it incredibly convenient as either the starting or ending point of a trip.

The quality of the hot springs is the biggest highlight! The large public baths are divided into indoor and outdoor baths, all made with genuine natural hot spring water. The strong sulfur smell immediately upon entering is incredibly reassuring. The highlight is the open-air hot spring, cleverly designed with a cave theme. Gazing at the stars or the cave walls amidst the rising steam feels like stepping into a natural wonderland – a truly therapeutic experience.

The most delightful surprise is at night! Every night from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, the hotel offers complimentary ”Yonari Kisobaba” – steaming hot and delicious soba noodles to satisfy your hungry stomach after a soak in the hot spring. AAnonymous UserThe hotel was dated, using the physical key system for the room. Amenities were lacking compared to many other hotels. Room heating worked well but the water temperature was unstable. The room was dark even with all lights switched on.

NNoel ReginaldEverything was smooth and pleasant from check-in to check-out. The only minor issue was that the air conditioning couldn’t be switched to cooling, as the hotel uses a central HVAC system that provides heating during the autumn season. Since the windows couldn’t be opened to let in cool air, the room felt a bit warm at times. Other than that, everything else was comfortable and enjoyable.
