"What a great little find! Perfect price, perfect stay. The room is definitely teeny tiny BUT… the staff are friendly and helpful, there’s lots of toiletries to choose from on arrival, bakery items for purchase 24/7, sanitiser available on every floor, comfy bed, dressing gown and slippers…good breakfast buffet (though no hot selection for vegetarians other than soup). Bus and train within walking distance. Close to marina and a couple of great izakaya. Overall, just terrific."

"The hotel is quite new, and the room is spacious enough to open three large suitcases. It's fairly convenient, about an 8-10 minute walk to the subway station. However, if you're transferring to the Minatomirai Line at Yokohama Station, you'll have to walk quite a distance from the west to the east side. The breakfast is just average, with limited choices."

"It's my pleasure to stay here. And everything's very nice and cute. You have your single room in here. Even the bathroom and toilet sharing. And it's very nice to talk with the staff here, they're really cute and nice. And they would be really willing to give you some recommendations for Yokohama city. And this time I forgot to bring my charger and I borrowed the charger from them as well. Oh, you also can ask them to take a cute photo for you. I just personally really like those things. "I returned to my beloved Sakuragicho Washington Hotel for a two-night stay at the end of 2025. It's conveniently located right across from JR Sakuragicho Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Directly opposite is a large shopping mall with a cinema and many restaurants on the top floor, and a supermarket on the basement level that's open until 11 PM. Situated in the Minatomirai area, its prime location means you can take the cable car across and walk to the Red Brick Warehouse in just about ten minutes! When booking, try to reserve a room with 'night view' in the description. You'll be able to see the stunning night view of Minatomirai. I booked late this time and only got a room on the other side, but it felt a bit more spacious! At the front desk, you can pick up skincare products, toiletries, face masks, and bath additives. Breakfast is on the fifth floor at Bayside, where you can enjoy tuna from Misaki Port and some Yokohama specialty dishes. If you're lucky, you might even get a table with a view! Joining the Fujita membership allows you to enjoy complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge. You can also accumulate points to exchange for a night-view room, and receive small gifts."

"Excellent location, close to two subway stations. The service is very JAL-style: professional and attentive. Especially the front desk and breakfast staff, who are incredibly Japanese and make you feel very comfortable. It truly lives up to its reputation as an established hotel, with everything top-notch."

"Had a very pleasant stay at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama-Koen. The location is excellent—very convenient and within walking distance to Yokohama Stadium, Chinatown, and public transport, making it easy to explore the area. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essentials. The bed was cozy, and the overall space was well-maintained. Staff were polite, professional, and efficient during both check-in and check-out. Amenities were sufficient, and everything felt organized and hassle-free. Overall, a great balance of comfort, location, and value for money. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Yokohama!"

"I've stayed at different hotels in Yokohama a few times, and this time the Gizan Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The price was really affordable, and it's super close to both Chojamachi subway station and JR Kannai station. There's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs, and it's only a two or three-minute walk to the shopping street, making transportation and shopping incredibly convenient. Excellent value for money."

"The hotel's location is excellent, with a direct elevator from the MM line subway right to the hotel entrance, making it very convenient for getting around. The rooms are quite spacious and come with a microwave, a mini-fridge, and a countertop. The breakfast is quite generous, mainly Japanese and Western style. The front desk provides common amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs, but there are no small-sized skincare products or facial cleansers, which some other hotels do offer."

"This hotel is incredibly convenient, located right above the JR station and connected to a shopping mall with stores like Uniqlo and Muji. There's a grocery store on the basement level with super affordable sashimi and sushi. You can easily walk to the Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park by the sea, making for a pleasant evening stroll. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is delicious. Each floor has an ice machine and vending machines. For a hotel in Japan at this price point, the rooms are quite spacious, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's super easy to get to places like Kamakura, Odawara, or even Tokyo from here, and all the main attractions in Yokohama itself are within walking distance. Compared to the InterContinental I stayed at last time I was in Yokohama, this place offers so much more value for money; the InterContinental was triple the price for one night! It's also more cost-effective than staying in Tokyo, where hotels generally offer even less value. Highly recommend!"
