"I checked in quite late that night, and the staff waited for us to complete the check-in process before leaving their post. The staff member who greeted us was Chinese and spoke Mandarin, so we had no problem communicating. They also kindly reminded me about the one-way street direction opposite the hotel. Overall, the hotel environment is good. Downstairs, there's a 24-hour convenience store and a cheap vegetable market where Hokkaido milk is only around 150 yen, so you can definitely find good deals. Plus, the TV in the room can even stream YouTube."

"I've stayed at different hotels in Yokohama a few times, and this time the Gizan Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The price was really affordable, and it's super close to both Chojamachi subway station and JR Kannai station. There's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs, and it's only a two or three-minute walk to the shopping street, making transportation and shopping incredibly convenient. Excellent value for money."

"I returned to my beloved Sakuragicho Washington Hotel for a two-night stay at the end of 2025. It's conveniently located right across from JR Sakuragicho Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Directly opposite is a large shopping mall with a cinema and many restaurants on the top floor, and a supermarket on the basement level that's open until 11 PM. Situated in the Minatomirai area, its prime location means you can take the cable car across and walk to the Red Brick Warehouse in just about ten minutes! When booking, try to reserve a room with 'night view' in the description. You'll be able to see the stunning night view of Minatomirai. I booked late this time and only got a room on the other side, but it felt a bit more spacious! At the front desk, you can pick up skincare products, toiletries, face masks, and bath additives. Breakfast is on the fifth floor at Bayside, where you can enjoy tuna from Misaki Port and some Yokohama specialty dishes. If you're lucky, you might even get a table with a view! Joining the Fujita membership allows you to enjoy complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge. You can also accumulate points to exchange for a night-view room, and receive small gifts."

"The hotel is quite new, and the room is spacious enough to open three large suitcases. It's fairly convenient, about an 8-10 minute walk to the subway station. However, if you're transferring to the Minatomirai Line at Yokohama Station, you'll have to walk quite a distance from the west to the east side. The breakfast is just average, with limited choices."

"What a great little find! Perfect price, perfect stay. The room is definitely teeny tiny BUT… the staff are friendly and helpful, there’s lots of toiletries to choose from on arrival, bakery items for purchase 24/7, sanitiser available on every floor, comfy bed, dressing gown and slippers…good breakfast buffet (though no hot selection for vegetarians other than soup). Bus and train within walking distance. Close to marina and a couple of great izakaya. Overall, just terrific."

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, not far from Yokohama JR Station, and within easy reach of Chinatown, the harbor, Yamashita Park, Red Brick Warehouse, and the Cup Noodles Museum. Dining and shopping options are also very convenient. The rooms are exceptionally spacious for a hotel of this class in Japan, and the facilities are top-notch. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend staying here."

"very clean and safe even as a solo female traveler!! i do speak japanese so my experience might've been a little different but regardless, the staff always responded kindly and politely (even at night) no matter what i asked. also i liked that there's free cleaning every 4 days. the hotel is less than 10 minutes of walking to both kannai and bashamichi stations, and you can go to tokyo without transfers on minatomirai line from bashamichi station in just an hour if you wish you explore tokyo. if i have an opportunity, i'll definitely stay at this hotel again. the only slight issue there could be is the queue to washing machine as there's only two of them but for me personally it wasn't a dealbreaker so i had no problem waiting."
