"The stay was decent overall, but there is definitely room for improvement. While the general experience was okay, the room cleanliness wasn't up to par—specifically, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the cups and the bathroom. Additionally, the door leading from the balcony to the hot spring room couldn't be securely locked, which was a bit concerning. With better housekeeping and maintenance, this would be a much better place to stay."

"Celebrated 520 (May 20th) by booking a more upscale meal that day, and the experience was great ❤️. The location is fantastic! It's a 5-minute walk to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), so we went straight there after breakfast when it was less crowded. Regarding service, I have to say: it was the rainy season, and there were many staff members standing at the entrance, but they only bowed. It felt awkward watching adults and children run into the hotel in the rain to check in, and checking out involved carrying our own luggage in the rain too."

"The room is HUGE! Didn’t expect it has two floors. Really nice they have a big TV in the living room and also in the room, the TV got Netflix. The fridge has some free drinks and beers, that’s so sweet!!! We were so happy that we can drink cold beers while being in the private onsen. The hotel doesn’t have reception, you need to check in another hotel which is 5mins walk. If you don’t mind this, go ahead and book this. Truly good value."

"Every time I stop by Yuya Ebisu in Myoban, Beppu, which I have enjoyed going to for a long time. With the feeling that I don't want to leave here I was thinking that I would really like to use the accommodation as well. Since it is not a place that operates every day, it was difficult to set a date. We finally made it to our schedule and the accommodation we stayed at was better than expected. From check-in to the accommodation, very friendly service was provided and tea and refreshments were provided. After receiving explanations on how to use each facility, you will be taken to your assigned room. The clean and cutely decorated room was very cozy and comfortable. The lodging clothes are not yukatas, but pajama-style clothes that are comfortable to move around in. There was also a poncho raincoat type blanket to wear over the shoulder, and I really liked it. I ordered similar items online. During my stay, I had a happy time enjoying the large public bath and private bath. I plan to visit again, probably around April."

"The automatic check-in and check-out process was easy, quick, and convenient. The room was spacious, neat, and clean. However, the privacy of the in-room bath was quite low, which made me uncomfortable using it."

"No car? No problem! Right next to Beppu Station, there's a dedicated waiting room for the hotel, so you don't have to worry about rain or snow. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes. The hotel is situated on a hill, offering expansive views from all common areas. Inside, there's a large gift shop and a game center, perfect for both adults and children. Even though my room had a mountain view, I had no regrets; seeing the misty mountains and the steam from the hot springs was very characteristic of Beppu. Of course, the most important part is the hot springs! I'm not sure if there are private baths, but the public bathhouse was already fantastic! There are three large outdoor tiered pools, so even with a lot of people, it doesn't feel crowded or awkward. They overlook the bay, and the front-most pool even allows you to lie down – I really loved that spot. There are also several smaller single-person pools. The sauna was surprisingly in the outdoor area too; although small, it also offered sea views. And there were at least three cleaning staff constantly tidying up, keeping both the pools and floors very clean. I soaked in the hot springs three times during my one-night stay ♨️ – it was incredibly relaxing! Dinner was a buffet with a wide variety of dishes, and you could drink as much beer, red wine, white wine, and sake as you wanted! All the desserts were delicious. One more thing: even though I didn't take photos, I noticed many child-friendly details, such as a kids' food corner and utensils at the buffet, and changing tables in the hot spring changing rooms. It was my first time seeing this at a hot spring hotel, which is quite rare. I took the wrong train when I arrived, delaying my plans for an entire day. Combined with the rain, traveling solo, without a car, and not wanting to walk around in the wet, I only did one thing in Beppu: I just enjoyed the hotel 😹. Booking a good hotel is really important; my mood completely improved once I got here 🫶🏻"

The hotel's hot springs, accommodations, and meals were all top-notch. It's a traditional Japanese restaurant and highly recommended! I would definitely come back."

"The room was clean, beautiful and stylish. The bath opens into an outdoor area which was awesome. The onsen water is the kind that is clear and without smell. The checkin staff was helpful and polite. No food is offer at the place and also it’s far from the main station so it’s better to have a car if you want to stay here."

"This onsen hotel boasts a superb location right next to MIDOBARU, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and sightseeing. I booked two rooms in advance for this trip. The hotel doesn't have a huge variety of room types, sticking to an authentic Japanese style, which creates a very quiet and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast really deserves a special mention; it's a genuine Japanese morning meal with a rich selection and excellent taste, definitely worth trying. However, a heads-up about dinner: make sure to confirm beforehand whether you're getting a Japanese or Western set menu. I didn't clarify this when I booked and accidentally chose the wrong one, which was a bit of a shame. The hotel staff are exceptionally kind and attentive, providing a great service experience. While the facilities overall lean towards the older side, compared to many other onsen hotels in Beppu, this one is actually relatively new. It has a strong Japanese ambiance, and the hot spring experience is also good. Overall, the value for money is quite decent."

"What an amazing place! We had a wonderful time “glamping” at the Grand Verde Resort. From first being greeted upon check in till our departure the attention to detail and hospitality were top notch! We especially loved the delicious breakfast and dinner spread, the Public Bath, and sauna, and the hobbit houses. The gorgeous views from our yurt in the mountains were breathtaking and we were able to see millions of stars at night on the clear evenings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars!!! Highly recommend this place for your next getaway!"
