Amazing
DD25860****A rare find at this ocean-view hot spring hotel! Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the sea, daydreaming, or chatting is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we had a dedicated butler who escorted us to the large lounge for check-in. While their English wasn't fluent, they could communicate in Japanese and Chinese using a translation app, and were very responsible in repeatedly confirming our reservation times. The private hot spring bath we booked was excellent in both its environment and facilities, and both the indoor and outdoor public baths offered ocean views. Cleanliness was impeccable, and the ocean-view room was enormous; we even had albatrosses visiting outside the window. The kaiseki cuisine at breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing—delicious and beautifully presented—I was extremely satisfied!

CCZWONGHad another excellent stay at JR Inn Hakodate. The hotel continues to impress with its unbeatable location right next to Hakodate Station, making travel around the city and beyond extremely convenient.
The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, with a modern design and a bed that ensures a great night’s sleep. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged for a hassle-free stay.
The public bath is still a standout feature—clean, relaxing, and perfect after a long day of sightseeing or work. Staff were friendly, professional, and efficient as always.
Overall, a consistently reliable and comfortable hotel in Hakodate. Highly recommended for both short and repeat stays!

GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient! It's right across the street from JR Hakodate Station West Exit, literally a 2-3 minute walk. The Hakodate Morning Market (seafood market) is just 90 meters away. Plus, the bus terminal for all Hakodate buses is right in front of the station, so you can easily catch a direct bus to Goryokaku, the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway for night views, and the Motomachi Red Brick Warehouses.
The breakfast here has an amazing reputation, offering both Japanese and Western buffet options. And get this – they even serve red and white wine, sparkling wine, and ice cream for breakfast!

HHunhundidiI stayed in a standard room. It was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Although this room type didn't have a bathtub, the hotel's onsen (hot spring) was more than enough to enjoy. It was easily accessible and never too crowded, so I could really relax. The hotel is very close to Hakodate Station, about a five-minute walk, and there's a convenience store within five minutes, which is handy. They also offer a free shuttle bus to various Hakodate attractions, which was incredibly convenient.
Service: I arrived very late, but the front desk staff were still incredibly warm and welcoming, providing lots of helpful tips and information.
Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came to clean it every day.

AAilvxingdeabuI absolutely loved this Lavista hotel! The breakfast was fantastic, with a great spread including salmon, sweet shrimp, ice cream, and pudding. There's a direct bus to Hakodate Airport right nearby, costing 700 yen, and it's conveniently located next to Meijikan. There are also plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are just a 2-minute walk away, which is super handy for buying snacks and souvenirs. The onsen (public bath) was excellent, with good quality body lotion and hair conditioner provided. There were several outdoor baths, which were very relaxing. Plus, after a soak, you get free ice cream! It's about a 15-minute walk to both the Hakodateyama Ropeway and Hakodate JR Station. The views of Mount Hakodate are also beautiful. Highly recommend!

YYx18We were so satisfied with the hotel! It’s 5-6 minutes walk from the train station and morning market is just right beside. Though it’s a bit further to the beach but it’s still within comfortable walkable distance! Our first room was on second floor, with strong smell of the onsen. Then we reached out to the reception and they changed our room to a higher floor very quickly and nicely! The onsen area is huge and very clean. The view from our room was spectacular.

GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to the station, which makes it super convenient for getting to Mount Hakodate and other nearby attractions. They offer coffee, but only after 3 PM. Also, the ramen at the station that everyone queues for is really, really bad! Do not recommend it at all!

GGuest UserThe hotel is a 12-minute walk (straight line) from West exit of Hakodate JR Station. If you choose to take a cab, it's only a 2-minute drive. The airport limousine bus stop is just a minute away from the side entrance of the main tower.
The hotel has a main tower and a premium tower. They offer welcome drink snack. There are 2 restaurants, a sauna, a vending machine and a convenience store on the ground floor. Free onsen is available to guests from either tower.

While there were many non-smoking rooms, the companion who was a smoker was very happy.
