Amazing
MMai_suliIt's so top..... At the door, a gentleman came over to ask our name, knowing that I came to greet you today; We arranged a Western-style room, where the bathrobe, socks, and rafts were all ready, the bathrobe was super beautiful... At night, I went to the big bathroom and ran the soup and slept comfortably.
The breakfast the next day was too exaggerated.....a lot of things, shocked by the ritual of Japanese cuisine, from main dishes to desserts, eat cool.
The hotel has its own dinner and supermarket, and the souvenirs sold in the supermarket are also cute!
The bus stop is at the entrance of the hotel, super convenient! I will stay here next time.

GGuest UserVery convenient location, just opposite to the JR station. We can have a view of JR station from our room.
The restaurant - Rita Shokudo, which is not far from the hotel, is super good.
The room is standard Japanese size but the room is good in size for 2 persons.
About 10 to 15 mins walk to the main shopping street and food market.

KKong Hweethe room size is very small for 2 persons. the luggage has to be closed all time to make way and can only open 1 at a time. breakfast was a fixed set with combination of Japanese and western. the location is walking distance to hirome market and shopping street..

LLZHWhen we first arrived the front desk told us that we reserved a smoking room. In the trip.com booking it does not say so though. The front desk said all similar rooms for non-smoking were booked out.
We went up to the room but it smelled so bad that we asked agin for a different room showing them the booking. According to the hotel the booking was not directly forward to them by trip.com but by a different service therefore it varied from our actual booking. They were nice enough to give us a different room which was non-smoking. Unfortunately the room still smelled strange - at least no smoke smell.
Additionally there was almost no hot water coming out from the tap. In the photo the hot water was fully turned on.
Another issue was the parking. The one night stay fee was 1000 Yen (not for 24h). We checked out at 11 a.m. but decided to eat lunch in town and leave the car at the hotel parking. We took out the car at 2 pm and had to pay an additional fee of 1200 yen.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the station, located in a side alley. A 20-minute walk will take you to Kochi Castle, passing through charming streets and markets. Hiroto Market is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Hotel facilities and room service are satisfactory. Please remember that the booking agent only collects a deposit; you will need to pay 5,000 yen in cash upon arrival at the hotel. This deposit will be refunded by the booking agent after your trip.

1118507****Not too far from Kochi Station, and you can easily walk to the famous Hirome Market and Kochi Castle. Alternatively, the front desk offers free bicycle rentals. Laundry is free, and drying costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. There's free coffee and a microwave on the first floor. Parking right in front of the hotel is free. The hotel was almost fully booked during our stay. However, the facilities are showing significant age, which makes the cleanliness situation feel like even with their best efforts to clean and maintain, it still comes across as messy and unkempt.

ララーメン好きIt's close to the tourist area, especially Hirome Market. It's a little far from the station, but not far enough to take the tram. It's cheap and clean, so I have no complaints. The room is small, but that's not a problem.

TTraveller CThe hotel is dated but has lots of charm! Yes, the fittings and furniture is old and outdated but everything is working as it should.
The room (twin room) was generous in space by Japan standards. Here are some plus points about the hotel:
1) The windows can be opened fully to allow generous amounts of wind in (not the usual small openings).
2) The hotel staff are so generous and kind, they allowed us to check-in early and check-out late without charge! This is also the reason why we will definitely stay here again if we are in Kochi.
3) Hotel is located in the heart of all the bars (there were hoards of salarymen hanging around the area in the night and it gets very lively)
4) It’s a cosy hotel with no frills (so bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you are fussy about it).
To manage your expectations, note the following:
1) It’s an old establishment, so don’t expect everything to be sparkling new or matching. No usb outlet charging as well.
2) Due to the location, you might hear lots of street noise if you open the windows at night.
All in all, a wonderful little charming hotel, run by people who have the interests of their guests. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserHiking the OHenro, an inexpensive place to stay for 2 nights. Best part was the location, very quiet, close to the river. Hotel is dated, but good value, who cares if the bath tile is from the 80's, like all things Japanese, still spotless.
