"This was not my first stay at this hostel. Have stayed several times before. And am sad to see a gradual degradation in bathroom maintainance and lack of decency & discipline by the young guests from Tier3/4 towns of neighbouring states/districts, its hosting these days. Else the owner is very progessive minded and open to suggestions on improvements. All staff members are cordial and friendly. Location is prime with great connectivity with metro (MG Rd stn) & main railway hub (Sealdah) within walkable distance. Famous academic institutions, eateries, lagacy restaurants all around. Rooms are clean. ACs work perfectly. Bathroom cleanliness cud ne better. Breakfast cud be made optional at extra cost and taken on to the terrace as Terrace Cafe. Cooking foods by the guests shud be stopped completely. Guests entering other rooms freely at their will, shud be stopped. ALCHOHOL & SMOKING WEEDS MUST BE STOPPED (not by signing an undertakung from guests but by supervising strictly, specially at night). ELSE YOU WUD LOOSE DISCERNING FOREIGN SOLO TRAVELLERS PLUS A POLICE RAID WUD DAMAGE YOUR REPUTATION. A curtain around the beds cud be an added privacy feature. "

"good service's and food is very tasty Location is good 👍👍.. The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions."

"The room was ok but the moment I saw from close de bed had black long hairs here and there, and when I looked inside de bedsheets more hair was there, so my immediate thought was these bed is not clean . The hotel management should pay attention to this details as they say a lot about the category or standard of the place. Another thing was that toilet roll paper was not cleaned, so I had to ask for another one.  The best experience was the guardian who absolutely deserves 5 stars or more, he was attentive and very polite always helping with the door, bags and ready to answers a few questions."

"We stayed at The Peerless Inn, Kolkata for two nights. The overall experience was pleasant. The room and bathroom were excellent—clean, spacious, and comfortable. A special thanks to Ms. Neha at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful right from check-in and arranged our room very quickly. We are especially grateful to Mr. Somnath, his hospitality truly stood out. “Thank you” doesn’t feel enough to express our appreciation for his kindness and service. We also had the chance to try the Aaheli restaurant for authentic Bengali cuisine. Every dish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant manager, Mr. Sanjib, was very warm and made us feel truly welcome. The breakfast had a good variety and the food was delicious. However, the staff at the breakfast restaurant were not very polite and lacked a welcoming attitude or smiles, which slightly affected the morning experience. Overall, our stay was wonderful, except for the breakfast restaurant staff’s attitude. We would definitely recommend Peerless Inn for its great location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional hospitality from key members of the team."

"Clean and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms, located right in the city center within the old town. It's super convenient for dining and shopping. The staff provide excellent service, and the Ganges River is just a short walk away. The breakfast spread is fantastic, and it's less than an hour to the airport."

"Kolkata hotels are expensive, comparable to Mumbai prices. The hotel is not very hygienic, no breakfast is set, and the location is 11 kilometers from the airport. It is more formal to pay for Kolkata to the small kiosk in the middle of the road outside."

"The towel rack and safe in the bathroom were positioned too high, making them completely out of reach for a petite person like me. The next day, I asked them to place the towels where I could reach them, but I never used the safe. The chair was also too high and couldn't be adjusted, making it difficult to sit on and dangerous, so I never used it. I arrived late at night and had the wrong date, so there was no reservation for the day I arrived. The female staff member who dealt with me was unfriendly and rude. In the end, I was able to stay thanks to a friend's contact, but the other staff were very kind."

"Elegant and luxurious hotel located in a beautifully renovated palace of royal family of Kolkata. Our room was very spacious, beautifully furnished with old, wooden furniture. The huge bathroom and all floors are made of marble. The hotel is located in multiple buildings of the palace complex. Delicious breakfast can be eaten outside in shaded patio or inside in air conditioned restaurant. Every evening there is a live show of folk dance performers. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at."
