"Booking was quite easy and they also allowed us to check in earlier just by signing onto Marriott Bonvoy. Also helped us leave our luggage with them before we actually departed. Location-wise, close to Glasgow Queen St station and the high street. Most of the staff are friendly and easy to communicate, and always keen to help out. Food is a tad overpriced, but it’s alright. Needs more vegan, halal/kosher options however. View from the room wasn’t that great but they provide you with clean towels and good quality toiletries, albeit no shaving or brushing kits. The lounge area in the bar is quite great with lots of activities (work desk, English pool, Photo Booth, arcade station). One issue was that we’d asked for some clean towels one night which weren’t delivered despite the promises."

"Great location, straightforward checkin, excellent price for twin room apartment. Good kitchen facilities - microwave, hob, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher- and reasonable quantities of crockery, cutlery, tumblers, wine glasses, washing up liquid etc. Good to have separate area with sofa and tv. WiFi perfectly fine. Slept fairly well but beds and especially pillows were very firm, I usually have 3 pillows but often 1 here was adequate. The main niggle was that we had an accessible room even though not requested. We understand it is hotel policy to allocate these when necessary and heard someone else who was disappointed as well. The problem is that if you’re 6 foot tall the low height of bathroom mirror, sink and fixtures makes things difficult to manage easily."

"This is a modern hotel, very central and easy to find. The room was small but had everything I needed. I got this for a good price. There are social areas on the ground floor but I didn't use those."

"Excellent location! Spacious rooms and comfortable temperature. Hotel staff showed the Scottish hospitality and warm attitudes just as all other people in the city presented towards foreigners. The building is old with a few issues needs improvement: the bedsides doesn’t have electric sockets and usb outlets for charging phones- using the nearest socket for floor lamp, but turns out it’s a broken one w/o power, in the morning discovering a dead phone without time to recharge before leaving; the bottles attached to shower/tub wall are not dispensing any shampoo/wash liquid only when you are already during showering;…."

"Has all the basics, perfect for a solo traveller. Small compact room with double bed. Great location in the heart of Glasgow, perfect for walking around and near to train stations to visit other places. No wardrobe, limited hanging space on the wall, so not great for long stays."

"While a picture was posted of the room, it looked larger as the head of the double bed was elevated. When the bed was down I think there was 1 or 2 feet between the TV & bed. There was no place to sit other than on the bed. It was for 3 people and under the bed only stored a large & mini suitcase. This meant everything else was on the floor or bed preventing us walking around or sitting. AND when we arrived there were a couple of ************ on the toilet window seal. We had to be careful how we showered as the door did not seal tightly and leaked water outside. While the staff was great & location close to the night life, I would never book here again!"

"My stay with the ibis hotel was somewhat mixed with both positive and negative. On a positive, the accessible room that I had booked was of a good size and the main bedroom area was clean. The staff on arrival were helpful and provided me with all necessary information upon check in. Sadly, I was disappointed when ordering from the hotel resturant. My son wanted a pizza and the menu provided a list of three types. When ordering, I was told that there was only one type which wasn’t listed on the menu. I found the food to be of substandard which is disappointing given the price. Equally on check out, I advised that the bathroom had a build up of dirt and hair around the shower tray. I was told “apologises, this is a housekeeping issue”. I voiced my disappointment regarding the food to just be told “sorry”. Lastly I expressed my disappointment that I was charged £12.99 per person for a breakfast buffet. I felt this was a bit steep considering my under 5 ate half a croissant. The front desk only advised that usually they did not charge for under 5’s and would need to take this up with the app I booked to is stay through. No solution or refund were offered."

"Cute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city. Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow."
