"Perfect location and friendly staff but with uncomfortable bed:( I hardly believe my bed is actually two bed locked together. It’s extremely uncomfortable to stuck in the gap. It is a bit noisy outside as well. Only recommend to people with limited budget or who needs to catch an early flight."

"Staff at the reception were very helpful and friendly, lots of parking around that’s free on weekends, or they have parking at the back for a fee. Room was very clean and does have tea/coffee facilities. Housekeeping staff were very friendly. We booked a standard double which I must say was a slightly small double bed. However it was a very spacious room. Very good value during the common wealth games."

"Lovely experience from start to finish, the oversized coffee mugs was a great touch, thank you for that ☺️ and I got to see possibly the most unique sight just round the corner, pictured, as for the lobby and the hotel, a mix of modern, art deco and comfy seating downstairs. Be warned the bed was HUGE!!! I could fit 3 full size pillows across, so no danger of falling out for me ☺️ I will be going back 👍"

"While a picture was posted of the room, it looked larger as the head of the double bed was elevated. When the bed was down I think there was 1 or 2 feet between the TV & bed. There was no place to sit other than on the bed. It was for 3 people and under the bed only stored a large & mini suitcase. This meant everything else was on the floor or bed preventing us walking around or sitting. AND when we arrived there were a couple of ************ on the toilet window seal. We had to be careful how we showered as the door did not seal tightly and leaked water outside. While the staff was great & location close to the night life, I would never book here again!"

"The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and very helpful as we got a twin room instead of a double. This was fixed as soon as housekeeping started and again super friendly and prompt. How ever the room it self was cold during the night. Bed a was not the must comfy once."

The only issue is that there was no toilet tissue, and I informed the front door man, but he said the housekeeper had already put some in when I went out. So I checked again and took a photo to prove it. It seems he thinks I am lying."

"Great location, super close to city centre and very convenient. Staff members are always helpful and super friendly. On my final night there was a storm in Scotland and staff was super helpful with trying to see if they can book me for one extra night just in case if trains don’t run the next day :) really happy with the service. Breakfast has good selection! Room is okay, the AC seemed a bit old and broken but still works, temperature in the room is fine!"

"Overall, the experience was very great. Location is close to ScotRail station and also close to airport bus stop. Fitness center is also great. There are free weights to work out. Room is large."

"Hampton by Hilton, Glasgow Central is located on West Campbell Street and this truly is right in the heart of the city centre! Located just around the corner from the bustling shopping street of Sauchiehall Street, you’ve got everything you need at your disposal within walking distance of this hotel! Even Glasgow’s Central station is just a short 10 minute walk away - ideal if you’re coming in from another such as Liverpool like I was! A double room in this hotel is a fair size. To maximise on the space, Hampton by Hilton have removed wardrobes and cupboards and have replaced them with walk-in spaces. It works - the L shaped room can feel a little cosy at first, but once you’ve passed through the corridor, the main area where the bed and TV is feels quite spacious. The breakfast provided - which is free for all guests - is to a great standard. Make sure you try out the fresh waffles which come as standard in Hampton by Hilton hotels. The breakfast area isn’t huge though, so if you come around 8.30/9am, space might be limited! There’s also a fitness suite in the hotel which has a good range of equipment available. No windows in there though! Some areas for improvement - the room could do with a bit of refurbishment as the furniture is looking quite tired in parts and there are a lot of scratches and dirty marks on the walls. The room is very functional rather than a luxurious stay. Having said that, Hampton by Hilton is not marketing itself as a luxury brand. It’s firmly in the budget hotel bracket, probably at a similar standard to Premier Inn - which certainly isn’t a bad thing! Another thing to note - if you stay here during the weekend, it could be noisy. There are three nightclubs right near the hotel and on a Saturday night, the noise didn’t stop until 2.30am and this meant we didn’t get much sleep one night. However, the staff were very helpful when we flagged it with them the next morning and gave a credit for a free night’s stay at any Hampton by Hilton! All in all, this hotel is a good base to stay whilst exploring Glasgow. It’s functional, it does the job and you’re going to be well fed during breakfast. True, there are areas for improvement, but this shouldn’t impact your overall experience too much!"
