"Clean twin beds. USB-A ports on either side of twin beds for easy phone charging, table lamp for each and a reading light each. Very spacious room. Tea and coffee facilities. Spacious bathroom. Complementary breakfast with allergen markings. Gluten-free hash browns too! However, not a huge breakfast selection and the only eggs available are the scrambled eggs possibly steamed? Quiet rooms and excellent parking. Iron and ironing board in room too. Great stay. Good air conditioning unit too."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our Christmas visit to the Midlands. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome with their friendly and attentive service.
The room was comfortable and clean. We especially appreciated the cozy atmosphere and the little thoughtful touches that made our stay feel extra special.
The location was very convenient, close to local attractions and easy to get to from the motorway. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options to start the day.
Overall, it was an excellent experience and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Midlands. We would love to stay here again next time!"

"Other than me struggling to find it, would absolutely recommend.
Bed wasn't that comfortable for me as was too hard but that's preferred taste.
Service was great, accommodating me wishing for a microwave.

"Hotel is a little bit dated but very handy Location for anyone attending the NEC. Bus brings you right to the door. It seems to be co-joined to a restaurant and although the Hotel doesn't do breakfast, you can get breakfast there for a very reasonable price."

"This place was a great location, absolutely beautiful castle, and comfortable room. Clean, nice staff, and while it is seemingly a very busy wedding venue you can still take time to look throughout the beautiful old building and nice garden outside. Our slight issue with some of the lighting was spoken about in person to the staff who were open and listened, which we appreciated. Enjoyed the bar and dining experience from dinner food to breakfast. Would stay again!"

"Great location for the airport. However poor signage to entrance of the hotel, limited options for breakfast for people with dietary requirements. The room we stayed in the bed was very comfortable and shower was so good, however it was not as clean as it could be it had a strange stain on the floor."

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Travel Lodge Fort Dunlop, the hotel is clean the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the food is excellent. I would definitely stay there again on my next travel to the UK and will recommend this hotel ro my friends."

GGuest UserThe location was perfect within walking distance from New Street Station, Sea life centre, Lego Discovery centre, Art gallery and museum. The check-in staff was super nice and friendly, we arrived earlier but they were happy for us to check in as our room was ready. The room was clean.

AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I slept very well and really enjoyed my stay.
The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful during the check-in process. When I mentioned that I preferred a higher floor, they kindly arranged a room change for me, which I really appreciated.
The location is also very convenient, with a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it easy to get around the city.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Birmingham. I would happily stay here again in the future.

GGuest UserThe hotel is perfect for tourists who want to transfer from Birmingham to another city. All equipment is perfect and advanced and the cost is reasonable. HOWEVER, the female receptionist is very rude and irritable, when I checked in with her, there’s the same name as me booked this hotel and I just double checked the days and whether I booked the breakfast or not she showed her impatience and rudeness.

GGuest UserThis hotal was lovely we had to do a late check in after 9 clock as we got hear late but the staff service was fantastic very helpful and very polite would definitely stay hear again breakfast was a buffet breakfast help your self the only thing they didt have was fried eggs but they had scrambled egg thy had tea coffee hot chocolate machine and also help your self to apple juice orange juice lots of staff around clear area were people had been ready for other people to sit as have breakfast area was nice clear room was clear and tidy nice shower and toilet room beds comfortable had a family room with a double bed and a sofa bed .

SSfrixelReally unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously.
Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it.
Very very very unsatisfied.

The location of the hotel is perfect as so close to the motorway but feels like you are in countryside as so quiet and relaxing. It could probably do with a little TLC as the some of the furniture in my room was looking a little tired but still very clean. The staff are lovely and helpful with good service. I have been to this hotel many times over the years and only used the swimming pool once which is the only downside to this place. I would not use again as not the relaxing hotel experience I anticipated as was very busy. Priority appears to be given to the paying public over hotel residents and the changing room was disgusting with used towels piled high on the floor. Staff were stood around having a laugh with their mates and had to interrupt to ask where to get towels then had to ask another member of the public how to open the lockers. I would continue to use this hotel but wouldn’t risk the swimming pool again.

GGuest UserAfter unable to leave Birmingham, We decided to stop at the Clayton again and give it another night from the bad system issues they were having.
This was a lot better granted and the floors are very secure having floor locked to your key cards to get access. Breakfast we were earlier down and it paid off. Breakfast was better this time. Only little issue was the bathroom could do with a bit more attention to detail with little bits of little black mold in the more harder to reach areas and red residue in the grouting in the tiles. Apart from that sure I’d sure recommend it for the pricing

GGuest UserFound an excellent deal online for a single room at £26. Hotel is in an alleyway right in the middle of the town centre which is convenient. Arrived 10 mins before check in time to find that no one was at reception. Fortunately, A helpful and sympathetic housekeeper was present and called up one of the staff who said they were half an hour away. A queue started to build up at reception.
After 40 mins of waiting and checking in, the key card to the room didn’t work so I had to go downstairs again which was a cardio workout. Elevator didn’t work and the place was like a maze so a lot of walking.
Room was pretty basic but clean, there was no remote for the TV. Bathroom was immaculate and sanitised with a pair of two clean towels. For the price, the room was decent and can’t complain. Exactly as shown in the website images but customer service is nearly non-existent. Had to wait half an hour due to zero staff at reception. Another downside was no AC so the room is warm. Would return but not in a rush.
