The location is super convenient, right across from the Louvre, and all the restaurants we tried were great. The hotel itself has no major downsides, especially for the price; a small room was to be expected. Overall, it's decent, nothing bad but nothing outstanding either. The hairdryer was pretty useless. The front desk service was just average.

The hotel's location is excellent, right near the Louvre, and within walking distance of Paris's main museums and attractions. It's also very close to Metro Line 1. Combined with the Paris Museum 4-day pass, sightseeing was incredibly enjoyable. The hotel rooms were also exceptionally clean and tidy. The breakfast was just okay, but the breakfast restaurant itself had a unique charm. I'm very happy I chose to stay at this hotel. PS: There's also a very hidden speakeasy bar in the restaurant downstairs.

The location is fantastic! It's just a 5-minute walk to the Louvre underground shopping mall entrance. Other attractions like the Orangerie Museum, Musée d'Orsay, and Notre Dame are all within a 30-minute walk, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel also has a cafe on the ground floor, and they offer a complimentary fragrant 'welcome coffee' to each guest, which was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome! There are always staff available to assist guests. While the rooms are on the smaller side and not very numerous, they are very cozy and charming – truly a 'small but beautiful' experience! Highly recommend!

We didn't go for breakfast but it was a lovely stay overall! Stayed for 1 night with my sister for a short weekend trip to Paris - we were about a 20 minute walk from Monmarte, 20 minute tube/bus ride from the vintage shops in Le Marais, and also a 20 minute walk from Lafayette! The hotel is perfectly situated for those who want to be in the centre. The room was clean, and had a kettle and coffee machine. The bathroom was also super clean and provided plenty of towels and bathmats. Reception was also really helpful and friendly, we arrived before the checkin time and were able to leave a suitcase to store with them! It's not locked however, so I wouldn't leave valuables. The room was slightly cosy, but definitely big enough for 1/2 nights for 2 people. Will definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Folie des Pres very much. The hotel is well located in the 5th Arrondissement, close to transport, great bars and restaurants and all Rive Gauche attractions. The hôtel is newly renovated and clean and fresh. Staff are very helpful and attentive. The room had everything that we needed, the beds are comfortable, we appreciated the many electrical points (something lacking in many hotels), and the effective and adjustable heating and cooling. The bathroom is modern and spotlessly clean. We also liked the coffee machine at reception. Highly recommended in the 3 star range, great value for money.

姐妹出遊，第一次在攜程上預訂國外的住宿，心裏還是有點忐忑不安的，沒想到還挺好的，暖氣啊熱水啊毛巾啊床啊都挺好的，單人床雖然窄可是緊挨着也有大床那麼寬又相對獨立比大床更好挺舒服的，免費寄存行李箱，前台巧克力糖不膩不齁不粘牙好喜歡，外觀內飾很法國我喜歡，最最想説的是各種便利，出門兩部路那家店聖誕節都開門，很地道的美式法式任選，我們每天第一頓都在這裏吃，對面就是有八百年歷史的中世紀建築現在的藝術中心有沉浸式演出，去莎士比亞書店去花神咖啡館去巴黎聖母院去LV旗艦店……左岸氣息滿滿，去任何地方我們都是步行，如果你的胃開始想家了走幾分鐘有家“聚味源”温州人開的中國菜館2002年開的可以慰藉你的中國胃……下次來巴黎我還是會選這家住宿

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-decorated, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or any inquiries. While the hotel is a bit small, it’s well-maintained and offers excellent value for money. Overall, a lovely stay with a great Parisian atmosphere!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Artus Hotel and I was lucky to chance upon this hotel during my search. There are so many options and recommendations out there. I'm glad I chose this hotel for my maiden trip to Paris. First, the location. I can walk to the major landmarks like River Seine, Louvre, 'Dorsay museum, Notre Dame, etc. It is located close to St Germaine, so there are many charming streets to roam about and many options for food and supplies. I feel safe wandering around on my own as a solo female traveller. Second, the place is tastefully decorated. I like my room which has windows that overlook the streets as well as the decor. The bed is so comfortable that I slept very well during the three nights I was there. The housekeeping staff also kept the room clean and I like that the hotel embraces environmental practices. The only thing is that the yellow lights in the room can be a bit dim, but the white light used in the bathroom is bright. Third, the staff. I was greeted by a lady when I checked in and she is so understanding, patient and nice with me. I would like to commend her for her great personality and attitude, but I missed getting her name. The other staff I met are equally friendly and nice (two young ladies, one named Li/Yang; and another gentleman). Even if they don't know something, they will look up the information for me. They will also provide me with recommendations. I also must compliment the driver who picked me up from the airport and drove me to the airport (hotel transfers). He is very polite and considerate and he makes me feel at ease when i was travelling in his car. Even the gentleman who helped me with my luggage wore a big smile on his face. Thank you to everyone I've met during my stay and which made my experience a pleasant one. I learned only on my last day that they have another sister hotel a few steps away. One of the staff recognized me and invited me to take a look inside. Again, the place is tastefully done. If I have a chance to be back in Paris, I will check out both Artus Hotel as well as this hotel. I would also like to take this opportunity to make a request to the guests who are going to stay in the hotel - let's make an effort to treat the room as if it is our own. That way, the hotel will stay in a good condition for a longer time and future guests will get to enjoy the stay as much as I did. Thank you :)

I was drawn to this hotel by the 'great view from the window' tag on the booking page. To my dismay, when I opened the window in our room, all I saw were three walls! Looking at the hotel's room layout, it seems only two rooms per floor actually have a street view. Couldn't the booking page be more specific about this? If they had been clearer, I wouldn't have booked here, especially since there are so many other options in the area. The only good thing about this hotel is its decent location. The elevator is as tiny as a household fridge, and you even have to open it yourself! Yes, you heard that right, open it yourself! The front desk had a French staff member whose English was good, making communication smooth. However, there was another staff member, possibly Vietnamese or from somewhere else in Southeast Asia, with whom communication was completely impossible – a total language barrier. It's a bit of a walk from Gare du Nord to get there. It's not a particularly large hotel; 'inn' might be a more accurate description. There's an elevator, but it's very small, probably only fitting three or four people at most. Breakfast is the same every day. The bread seems to be freshly baked each morning – on my first few mornings in Paris, when I wasn't quite over the jet lag, I could smell the aroma of bread right from my room. However, after seeing cockroaches in the dining area on the third morning, I completely lost my appetite. The service is decent, and there's a hot water dispenser in the dining area.
